    Works every single time.thank you for making my life easy.I now have 3under one and a half years and I manage to put all of them to sleep on my own like this.

    The "Sit".... I started panicking with my second baby(now 11 weeks), because he kept waking every 10-30 minutes for two nights straight. In my panic, I was researching what I could do online while he slept on my chest all night (yes, I know, but he wouldn't sleep any other way 😔). Tried the "Sit" with him, and while it didn't seem to work for the first 3 hours, gave us the first longer stretch in a good while. Thank you so much for sharing these tips!!!!!!

    HEYYY I JUST WANTED TO THANKYOU FOR THE VIDEO!!! I tried this with my baby. She usually sleeps great at night with me leaving her drowsy but awake and she would fell asleep on her own. But only for bedtime. Different story with nap time. i started at 3mo with baby who never been swaddled. I gave up putting her to nap as she would wake up as soon as i put her in her crib. To be honest i was a bit skeptical at first with this method. It couldn’t be that easy right?! But wowww god heard my prayer!!! She took a nap by herself!!!! Thankyouuuu

      @@BabywiseMom but i have some questions if you don’t mind! My baby sleeps pretty easily at night without swaddle, should I swaddle her so that her bedtime routine be the same as naptime? Will this create confusion?
      And second question, she always rooting for my breast at the “sitting” part. I do give her my breast to soothe her bc she can’t seem to calm down otherwise🥲 but will this create a bad habit? Bc my husband is so against pacifier. After she got drowsy then i put her in her crib and she OUT almost immediately
      . Thankyou so much once again!!!

      @@BrainNumb1 Babies can have different nap and night routines, so that is totally fine. Feeding during the sit part could definitely create a bad habit and could lead to snacking for eating rather than taking full feedings.

      If she is wanting to nurse because she is hungry, feed her. But going forward, make sure she has a full feed at her feeding time so she doesn't want to nurse when you are putting her down for a nap. If she wants to nurse because she wants to nurse to sleep, I wouldn't do that.

    Hi, loved the video. I have a 7 week old and I'm looking forward to trying this. I'm wondering if you have any advice for helping baby fall back asleep if they wake up from their nap too early? My baby seems to "catnap" a lot, or else my extremely exuberant 2-year-old wakes her up too early, despite the white noise machine.

    Hi! Thanks for the great tips! ! I do have a question though- how do you put the baby to slpäeep while the siblings run around and play in another room? Or do I put them down first? If I were to do this routine alone, with no help, for example.

    • @BabywiseMom
      @BabywiseMom  5 лет назад

      Kirsika-Maiu Trik hello! Something I always did was make sure my older kids were occupied when I was getting baby ready for nap. So they would be in their own nap, playing independently, playing together, or some their tv time. A sound machine is also super helpful to block out the noise of the siblings.

      If he doesn't like a position, see if there is another one that will calm him. But it also could be that he was up too long before the nap process started.

    Hey - my second baby is 3 months and it seems he already hit the sleep regression. He had been falling asleep alone totally fine, but all of the sudden he will not sleep without nursing. I’m 100% overwhelmed because I don’t want my second to have the same mistakes of my first. When I try sitting, he immediately starts rooting for the nipple. Any recommendations on that?

    • @BabywiseMom
      @BabywiseMom  3 года назад

      Hey! Make sure you are putting your baby down early enough-as in not too long of a wake time length. Think about what the schedule and routine were like when naps were good. Has anything changed since then? Has anything else in life different? Is it just a time change issue? If anything has changed, try moving things back to how they were when naps were good. Also, there is a big wonder week at 12 weeks, so that could be what is going on BUT that wonder week typically doesn’t really mess with sleep as much. Another thing-make sure it isn’t a growth spurt.

    • @ellieurish6357
      @ellieurish6357 3 года назад

      @@BabywiseMom I was actually just reading your blog and wondering if it could be a growth spurt. He’s nursing constantly when he is awake. Our routine hasn’t really changed, just the time change. But he was okay the first few days of the time change. I’ll try adjusting wake times. I know you’re technically not “supposed” to sleep train (like cio or extinction) until 4 months - what do you recommend for dealing with crying before naps/refusing to sleep at this age? Yesterday he was refusing to sleep for over 2 hours past his nap time!

    I'm starting this today and baby is 7 weeks old. He is ok in the crib for a few minutes then wakes up and starts crying. The 4th s did not work. I pick him up hold him until he calms down and put him in the crib again. How long should I repeat this cycle. He has been in the wake cycle for 1.5 hours now. Do I just keep repeating the 4 system until his next feed at 9am then repeat the 4 system again?

    Hi Valerie! we have a 10 weeks old and we were doing CIO for like 2 days and our baby almost lost her voice due to too much crying and she is really tired. Now I am trying your method and how do I know that I am not holding my baby to sleep vs holding her till she is calm and relax? I would hold her for about 5 minutes and then she closes her eyes then I put her down and she sleeps till the morning. I hope to get this right because my baby cries like 5 hours a day with CIO :((

    • @BabywiseMom
      @BabywiseMom  Год назад +1

      It is hard to say for sure from where I am if she is asleep or just relaxed. But that sounds great! Once you feel her body relax, you put her down. It will be good for her to get solid sleep so she isn't overly tired. I am glad you are seeing some improved sleep!

      I tried shush and pat but it didn’t seem to calm my baby down. Do you recommend CIO at that point for like 10 minutes? And at what point do we repeat the sitting part?
      Sorry for multiple questions at a time! Thank you so much for your help!

    • @BabywiseMom
      @BabywiseMom  Год назад

      @@anhdnguyen2004 It does lead to independent sleep. I started right at newborn, so I don't know how long you would necessarily expect when starting at an older age. Any time you train something at a later age, it will take longer. Ten minutes of CIO is a good idea to wait and see if she just needs to blow off some steam and will settle in to sleeping if given a chance to work it out herself. But monitor it. it might need to be longer and might need to be shorter.
