AAAA so so good figured i should bite the bullet and watch the last amv u have for viewing (before rewatching them all again a million times) and boy am i glad i saved this for last just as well thought out with so many good edits and cuts i don't know if this was intended, but the small sequence of akio and "dios" over the instrumental portion almost read as akio reaffirming his own belief in his being needed (as a symbol of patriarchy) like he needs a moment with this golden version of himself to tell him "yes this is necessary- it's what the people want you to be and they don't care if it's real" it's a weird weak moment for him before- of course- the song continues
YES YES YES I LOVE THAT TAKE, in both the instrumental portions I wanted to show ‘something real’, Akio visiting Dios to convince himself that people need a prince is definitely part of it, not specifically what I had in mind while making it but such a good interpretation omg

I’ll just add in case you didn’t know that the manga and anime are extremely different to each other, they were made simultaneously so as far as I can tell neither is an adaptation of the other, haven’t managed to get the manga and read it myself yet but from what I’ve heard from other people the two are very different experiences
