This is adorable!! Just a tip to help your wood to not wrap, if you spay the whole plaque with a clear coat first it wont warp on you!

So cute!!! For the snow, I always use Snowtex, and then sprinkle Diamond dust for the glistening.

We always made our gingerbread houses out of Graham crackers. The kids loved to make and decorate their own and they could eat it. It was also an activity I shared with each one of my children's 1st grade classes. It's a great project!

So cute and yes, I am making myself one for my kitchen. I will be adding snow glitter to the snow, cutting out the window panes to add a tealight inside. I won't be gluing down to the board so that when I put away I can stuff with tissue paper for added protection and I can add a light next year. Thank you for sharing!❣

My favorite use of the gingerbread house this season. I wish I bought a second one.
Loved the gingerbread house. Just wanted to let you know that this gave me an idea. Missing my grandkids so very much. I mailed the wood gingerbread house to my 2 grandkids and 4 great grandkids along with the glitter markers, dimensional white paint and some of the wooden stickers (all from dollar tree). We then had a zoom meeting for me to help and watch them do their craft with grandma time. It was almost as good as being there. Thank you for the idea maybe now I will survive until I can visit them again. Prayers for you and your family hope you are feeling better.

Our family, my 3 kids, 2 spouses and one teenager granddaughter, do a gingerbread house competition. Since I won last year I get to pick this years theme. It is any holiday house. So far we have Halloween, St. Patrick’s day, Valentine’s Day and Fourth of July spoken for. The only rule is everything has to be edible! This sounds like so much fun!

I loved, loved, loved the puffy paint pastel colors you used to make your ginger bread house. And the dark stain you used on the house, really made the colors pop. Good job Kelly.
When I bought 1 I thought it would be great done as a permanent house. I have taught all ages of people to make"gingerbread" houses using kits, graham cracker houses and these would be so much longer lasting.
I had to rewatch this video with my daughter she can wait to make one as shes you wants to use her color. Thanks for this video

I also remembered Kelly's diy gingerbread house and was hoping that DT had them this year. The 1st DT I went to had 3 hanging up so I grabbed them and was so happy to find the wood house cutouts. I've already made mine however I have to add a couple small things to it and it'll be ready for Christmas... I wish we could share pictures on RUclips with other followers... Happy Crafting!!!

I love this gingerbread house. My kids are older and very artistic so it could be a project they could also work on. I think this is better than those Gingerbread House kits because we've never had good luck with them going together before the pieces started cracking and falling off. Great idea for a Gingerbread House!

Love this idea. I used these and made Christmas card holders. I used DecoArt Snow Tec and added mini trees from DT for dimension. I glued the two houses to the mini wood trays from DT for the base.
