Realize: you are not a body being aware. You are that which is aware of both your body and the world. Notice that right now that you are visually aware of many things. Look at the hammock, look at the chair, look at the door, look at the sky, look at the clouds . . . and notice that everything of which you are aware is analogous to a weather formation happening in open sky. Your awareness is that open sky or space, that open mind. You therefore are the open sky of Mind and every form of which you are aware is happening within the boundless, formless space of Mind, your mind. Formations are happening within formlessness. And formlessness is Mind, Consciousness.
And so, all of this is about the shift from body-identification, thinking you are a body being conscious, to Mind-identification, wherein you realize that you - as the aware one that you are - are the one Conscious Mind which is being aware of it all. Therefore again, you are not a body being conscious. You are that which is conscious of your body. You are formless awareness being aware, I am formless awareness being aware, and so is every blinkin' thing. But you/I/we can be confused about that. And that's all that's happening. And we are suffering the consequences. More on that in the future.
Now, let’s just like slide into the feeling of peace for a couple of minutes here. You can do this with your eyes open or not, but I suggest trying it with your eyes open right now. Simply let your gaze scan slowly through the room. Survey your local surroundings. And as you see the door, and as you see the photo, and as you see the window, and as you see the beam and the Buddha statue and the pictures on the wall - as you are aware that you are being aware - acknowledge to yourself that you are formless awareness in the act of being aware of forms. You are the sky of Mind observing manifest creation. You as formless awareness are observing ideas in Mind.
