Working with crystals is like a whole different craft. I thought my aversion to the kit I did was because I had crap drills from a shop that should have had high quality, but actually the light scattered the colors so much that you really couldn't even tell they were poor quality once they were placed. There is just something unsatisfying about all that reflection, at least for me. I'm so glad you listened to your heart, Kim.💜🧚♀️💜
Hi Syl. Someone else just hit the nail on the head by saying that crystal drill canvasses just look "washed out" when they've been done, and I totally agree with that. ❤
Thanks Kim. I just decided to take a lesson from you and discontinue a canvas that I never want to work on, but has been kitted up for at least a year. In my case it has way too many ABs and I don't think the quality is very good. We have another thing in common... I don't like working with crystal drills, nor am I a partial canvas person. I agree with you that the image just seems washed out. I'm glad the company experience was good and we will all look forward to hearing about your experience with regular drills. Have a great week! Sending hugs.
You definitely made the right decision. What's the point of dragging out the misery when you could be enjoying yourself, and that's what it's all about 🥰✨️
Hi Kim l am happy that you followed your heart and stopped doing a canvas that you were not enjoying. I have only did that once! I felt so frustrated with it because the drills were poor and they kept on popping off. It took a lot of soul searching to stop and throw it away because l am not a quitter! I really enjoyed your video! Looking forward to the next one!🤗
Hi Heather. Yeah, it is very rare for me to stop working on a diamond painting as well. I think this is only the second one where I've done that. Popping drills are the absolute pits, and if I have a bad canvass from AliExpress with lots of popping drills, then I'll definitely follow your lead and stop. I had that with a canvass from Huacan ❤️
Good for you Kim for letting it go 😊 I also agree with you concerning the company, one of the better ones on Ali X. But I only did a couple of DP from them with round drills at the beginning of my DP journey. Lots of confetti like you said, the guide circle did show on lighter areas & of course, stolen art. Thank you for you time Kim !!!😊
Yeah, I'm definitely going to be sticking to that motto - if it doesn't make me happy, then I'm going to throw in the towel. Luckily that doesn't happen often. ❤
My husband made a good point about throwing away a diamond painting that cost a lot but doesn't prove gratifying. He said no matter how much you work on it you don't recover the money you spent; you just feel twice as miserable -- regretting the purchase and spending time on something that doesn't make you happy.💜🧚♀️💜
Love your honest reviews. I agree with you about crystal canvases. I am not a fan. I have done one and it will be the only one I do. I just don't like the way the canvas looks when done. I thought the crystal drills would make it look brighter but it just ended up looking washed out.
I have ordered many from yimedo,I find the quality excellent for the price point, the round drills are good ,canvas good quality and excellent glue. However i wouldnt want to do the crystal designs,i feel the images just look washed out and the overall effect is not nice,I think the full crystal sound nice but i have yet to see one finished that i think looks good.Great review as always.
Yes, I totally agree. I've realised now that crystal drills actually make an image looked washed out and it loses its definition. This same image in normal drills would have looked great. As for the store in general, I'm so glad to hear that you've had a good experience. Someone else above was saying what a bad experience they've had. I still have a normal drill painting to work on from them and I think I need to try and get to that one soon. ❤️
Oh interesting! Yeah, it seems that a number of people have had the same experience as me. The colours just look washed out and the image loses its definition. I most definitely won't be trying another one. ❤️
Hello! I have done two canvases from Yimeido and it was a nightmare. The canvases were badly creased, the drill quality was awful and I ran out of drills on both by a significant amount. They were full drill and I loved both images, one from their general images 45x60 and a 40x40 custom. Personally I'll never order from them again, but I'm glad it isn't a universal experience.
Thanks for sharing your experience with me! That's disappointing to hear because I do have a normal diamond painting from them as well. Maybe I need to try and work on that one soon so that I can see what my experience is with that one. Sorry you had a bad experience. 😭

Hi Nance. You and I seem to have a lot in common when it comes to diamond painting. 😂. Crystal drills and not for me, and I'll pass on partials. 😂
You definitely made the right decision. What's the point of dragging out the misery when you could be enjoying yourself, and that's what it's all about 🥰✨️
My thoughts exactly!

Hi Trish. Thanks for adding your experience. Yes, all these AliExpress stores have stolen art which is why I only use them for customs. ❤
💎🧡💎
Thanks for popping past Erin.
Hi Kim
Adorable image! I can relate - I don't think I'd like a complete crystal drill kit either. Thanks for the video/review. ❤
Yeah, this experience taught me that full drill crystal kits are definitely not my thing. 😊
Thanks for the review and glad you had an epiphany about the painting. I hear to often if it doesn't make you happy it's not worth it. Take care.

@@myhappyplacewithkime1430 yeah for sure.

Exactly! And that makes a lot of sense, so I totally agree with him. 😁
That made him smile! He has encouraged me to throw away a couple of canvases.💜🧚♀️💜@@myhappyplacewithkime1430
I totally see what you mean with this one!! Thank you for your honesty

Yes! Exactly this! You hit the nail on the head. The end result looks washed out. I totally agree. ❤
Kim I went through your videos and I got my answer thank you.💖
Excellent. Thx.
It is a beautiful image, albeit washed out. I have no desire to do a full drill crystal kit.
Yeah, this was my one and only attempt. I won't be trying this again. 😂

I think if you got the same image in a normal drill style it would come out very different.

I also bought a full crystal kit and hated it. As you stated bland colors, nothing popped, looked horrible. I gave up also. 🤷♀️

Hi Kim I wanted to ask you a question I about a company if you rather message you I will?Thank you Kim I enjoy watching 💖
Hi there. Thanks for watching, and I've seen your message saying that you got your answer. 😁
