Not one to be like this, but to be honest, this song really saved me in Afghanistan, it kept me focused. Kept from going off the deep end. Its the one song i could turn to that would keep my feet on the ground. and now even 2 years after I deployed, dealing with the aftermath its still here to bring me to back to at least a glimpse of brighter things to come. ive turned many of my fellow soldiers to this song to and it works every time. So thanks mayday, you may have actually saved lives..

Let me tell you a little story about Mayday and me: I'm not the most emotionally stable person, in fact, I'm straight up chaotic. I go through incredible highs only to fall down in terrible lows because, let's put it bluntly, I care too much about the people around me and not enough about me so when I get hurt, I hurt really bad. I'm chronically scared to be alone because of my haunting demons always tormenting me whenever there is silence. Recently, I met a girl that really rocked my world, she made me forget about all my flaws, my defects, my shortcuts and my dead ends, she made me forget how miserable I actually was because the love I didn't have for myself finally had a suitable target. Flash forward to three months later, nothing works anymore, she says she doesn't love me anymore and wants to stay friends because she felt that connection just as much as me. Needless to say I'm devastated, but in the end, I feel like this is a good thing since now I realise that I can't keep my life hating myself and adoring the world around me to be desillusioned at a moment's notice. Mayday comes into the story because they helped me in so many undescribable ways before I met her, their music always resonated with me on an incredibly relatable level and now that I feel my life is in ruins again but that I finally see the answer to my woes, Shortcuts and Dead Ends gives me the courage to keep going, to stop feeling sorry for myself and learn to love myself instead. I don't believe anyone will actually read this in entirety, with the song being a bit dated and all, but I had to let this off my chest: Thank You, Wrek, Bern, Gianni, NonMS, Plex, LT Hopkins and all you other collaborators for this inspiring music, you give me life and you make me Believe in something better, in a brighter future. #BLVR

I hate how almost everyone tries to compare every artist signed to Strange Music, and pick out who's "better" or "best". All of them have their own unique style, and it's impossible to be able to compare them to one another. No one is better than the other. There's not first or second place.
They all together make the best underground team to me personally, it just wouldn't be the same if one was missing. I came to grow up with Tech and seen all these artist come and go, and I have never been disappointed. But the way Strange Music is now, for me it has never been better.
So I suggest to everyone to stop comparing the artists and just enjoy the god damn music.

MayDay almost started a riot at the Nectar Lounge Seattle!!!! If you haven't seen them live you ain't seen shit yet best band I've seen in 5 or 6 years
I saw mayday live at the House of blues in Anaheim about a year ago. I was so psyched and so ready for that show but after I saw them live I got super bummed out because the performance was great but the music didn't sound good over the system.. I could barely hear the vocals and also can barely hear some of the higher end of the music just mostly the drums and unfortunately things were just cancel that out by that. I won't let it make a stain on how I feel towards Mayday and I really hope one day soon I could see them again live and hopefully the system will make it sound like the MayDay I love!
