The linked puzzle doesn't contain the arrow in box 3. I got stuck and came to the video and noted that difference. Not sure if still a unique solve with that difference, but it was beyond me. I just mentally added that arrow, though and completed my solve. Fun puzzle!
yes, i was really struggling with that, eventually using quintuple chained bifurcation, and getting the "wrong" answer, except all elements were correct. oh well, it's all in good fun
Thank you my friend! :) It was an honor to solve this one, the logic was beautiful and it has inspired me to try to incorporate something similar in one of my own puzzles.
The thing that struck me early on was that the circle in box 4 cannot be 6 or 9 because that would cause duplicate numbers. Likewise the circle in box 6 could not be 7 or 9.
Wow, a lot of griping about the missing arrow. I must be lucky cause I noticed that before I even started solving. I wondered at the time if that would turn out to be a mistake on the puzzle I had, or the one in the video. Figured it out when I got to solving box 3 though, and needed it.
Wow. Hard to spot, but amazing break-in. Nice flow after that. The missing arrow would have helped. I noted it in the beginning but had completely forgotten about it until i got stuck on sudoku.
I ended up with a deadly pattern in row3 and row 8 columns 89. This was because the arrow in box 3 is not in the puzzle, once i noticed this i went back and solved it quickly.
there's a simpler way of getting the first restriction on the cluster arrows: on the right side, the minimum sum is 9 (in the cage) +1 +2 =12 , then halved on the left side, the minimum sum is 8 (in the cage) +1 +2 =11 , then halved
I did spot the interactions between the cages and the circles reasonably quickly, and I think they are gorgeous. I did miss the interaction between 7 and 9 cages in box 6 removing the 8. I think this was tricky, but I think it was fair and elegant. Unfortunately continuing from there I ran into another trap, so now looking through the last half of the video for what I missed there,
No comments when I started the puzzle - so didn't see that there is an arrow missing. Spoilt it for me as spent too long starting at puzzle looking for a deduction that did not exist without the missing arrow.
Wow, this is so disappointing. Great puzzle ruined by the arrow not being in box 3 in the link :( Really enjoyed the logic initially but super frustrated spending so long on a puzzle that has no unique solution (as far as I can see).
Corrected link in the description to deal with the missing arrow.
Sorry about all of this, errors like this crop up sometimes.

It is NOT a unique solve without the arrow.
I'm so glad I checked here. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to solve the end of the puzzle
That explains my problem as well!
I used Sven's software to add the arrow thanks to this comment. Thanks
Just gave a watch today, really interesting puzzle and excellent solve from dumediat! Props to him and glum_hippo!
Thank you!
Awesome job, dumediat ❤ I really appreciate you and this community

Thanks for the solve. The end, in 41:03 got me, 167 triple, did not find it and need to came here searching for help, so thanks! 🤗

58:55 ... got it finally

I found the puzzle on the link slightly different than the one you solved. No arrow in box 3, for instance.
and fundamentally unsolvable

I missed the 169 triple at 41:09. Another masterpiece by glum_hippo.
There is no arrow in box 3 for the puzzle of link!
Fascinating puzzle and breakthrough but too much for me.
Solve was very nice as well , explained stuff good.

Nice puzzle… done in 17 mins… could have done earlier if the arrow in box 3 would have been there in link
i find that hard to believe, considering that the puzzle definitely has multiple solutions without that clue.
@@victorfinberg8595 maybe... but i got stuck there... and had to watch video for that..
Great solve shame about the sudoku! 🙈😉
I welcome your feedback- what did you feel was the problem with the sudoku?
@@glum_hippo it’s a joke! He had sudoku blindness on occasion which stokes us all hence the emojis that followed!
A joke as in supposed to be funny!

Oh what a waste, the puzzle is bugged, boo 🤨
The link had an error in it, which has now been repaired. Hope you’ll give it a second chance
