Hi. I’m from the future. Nala will wind up being your BESTEST friend of all time.
It just breeeaaaks my heart when pups are separated from their mom and siblings. I wonder how the mom feels and if she forgets.
I had a hard time with this especially the day or 2 before we picked her up. I felt so bad like I was stealing Nala from her mom.
We should only adopt them together as a family or if possible only adopt the orphans!
I know like the puppy I’m getting had a picture of her looking so happy with her siblings and I feel so bad I’m only getting one

September 2024 Love seeing the day Nala came home. So excited to find this video. Talk about one lucky dog, and the human that watches out for her. Reminds me the day just about one year ago I brought my LuLu home. Hope someday for LuLu to meet Nala.

I'm so excited. My grandparents are getting their eighth golden retriever April 2nd. They've had Golden retrievers their whole life. They're seventh one just past recently. I'm so excited. They're naming her Journey

We brought our 3rd golden friend home 4 years ago. Each one has been totally unique ........in a good way. They work their way into your heart so quickly. They all shed like mad, but we gladly put up with the hair . I can't imagine my life without a golden .

Can’t imagine having to google having a puppy for the first time. This must’ve been so fun for you guys!! Between our foster dogs and our own we have had so many puppies at this point it is just like a walk in the park to us. We are getting a golden puppy this week, our young husky is only nine months but fully trained. We have an older small dog who won’t play and our foster husky just left so he is fully trained and we figure why not get a playmate :)).
Not sure if you guys had dogs as kids but I could totally tell it was your guys first ( DONT take this the wrong way!! ) from the beginning of the video. The main thing was when I saw the bed in the crate ;)) not sure if you guys lucked out major or found out the first night if she peed straight on it haha. At least that’s how most puppies work- they need the divider in or typically are harder to potty train in a full open kennel. I loved how excited you guys were and can tell she will be very spoiled 😍 love all those toys!! Little tip for the future- it’s really great to give lots of options when they’re puppies with toys, rubber toys, hard teething Nyla bones, safe ropes, squeaky toys, and especially soft toys to teach them not to destroy them Lol.
This is what I adore seeing though, working in a small pet shop/ rescue center we sell a few puppies, I always make sure they go home with plenty of toys because sadly people often think puppies only need one or two toys and sometimes people don’t even want to buy toys like WHAT?! It’s like a person not buying their newborn baby or toddler any toys. You guys did everything the right way!!
Shay Rose Shay Rose thanks shay! Nala was so easy as a puppy. We actually only had a handful of accidents with her. She was definitely spoiled and babied 😂 still has tons of toys too haha. We did end up using the divider and just gave her a little more space as she got bigger and it worked out great. She was an angel the first night. It’s hard to believe she is turning 2 in June! I guess we were lucky with our now 2.5 year old chocolate lab too. Brought her home at 8 weeks. First night in her crate she passed out. Second night she whimpered but I had her crate by my bed and soothed her and since then no issues. She also had less than 6 accidents (12 weeks and younger) inside and none in her crate. She’s really really really calm for a Labrador. I will admit that I put a lot of work into training her myself. But she’s ruined us for another dog because she’s truly that well behaved.
