Trying to install the XRAY Package from the max v8.1.8 64-bit windows package manager and get a massage: error while attempting to install XRAY. Any suggestions to solve this? thnx!
I really appreciate that you took the time to make this tut but you go INSANELY fast. I'm only 5 minutes in and I've had to go back at least 20 times. I'm stuck at 5:55 where you said "once inside jit.gen". How do I get inside jit.gen? How did a new window open showing the pixel threshold?
Hi! It looks like you may use some of my previous tutorials on jit.gen itself. In general to check out all my tutorials I have this page: www.federicofoderaro.com/videoTutorials.html when you can filter them according to the topic. For your specific question the answer is to double click on the jit.gen object with the patch locked, or ctrl/cmd + click on the object. Hope this helps, have fun!
@@AmazingMaxStuff Now I'm stuck around 7:17. Max isn't showing the switchThresh as a package option. I do have jit installed. I'm also unable to change the threshold numbers to decimal values. My apologies. I am a complete noob.
@@DeathTrapProductions this is a parameter that must be created inside jit.gen, I chose the name arbitrarily. You can see how I do it at 6:40. As said, I'm sure the other tutorials introducing jit.gen will be very helpful : )
Hello, sorry to bother you but I was wondering : Does the "draw mode lines" works 2 dots by 2 dots ? (°-° °-° °-°) for exemple in line_strip the %2 doesn't work because it still goes to position 0 0. Is it because line_strip mod works by connecting every dots 1 by 1, contrary to the "Lines" one that connects 2 points, then the 2 next points etc.. I hope this is clear.. Thank you very much for your videos, you and ned rush are incredibly helpful to understand max.
Hey! Yes it works as you described it. Search for OpenGL drawing mode to have a clear overview of how the primitives (lines, triangles dots) are drawn in the different modes. Cheers!
I’m experiencing some difficulty getting the jit.pworld to display the coloured section from the xray.jit cellcoords output. It’s displaying a black window. If anyone could assist me with getting it to display the coloured bars I would greatly appreciate the help. I’m quite new to Max and have absolutely no idea how to troubleshoot this. Thanks :)

You can send the "getdim" message to jit.grab, which will give you the video dimensions from the right outlet

That's a bit vague, how exactly is it not working? Have you checked all the inlets and outlets are connected in the correct order?
