You had a moment of very real clarity. You absolutely were put on this Earth to build a family and hang out with them and grow with them. Good luck with everything I wish you the best.
Career troubles suck. But the thing is like, you actually don’t have to do the same job for 40 years. Just keep doing jobs to build your resume until you land somewhere you like. And you can keep liking that it stop liking that and decide to move sommelier else. You’re still at the point in your life where being at a job for a year or two looks fine on a resume, so having done some longer is good. And if being a mom is one of your dreams, that’s fucking valid. Whether the other people in your life are trying to figure things out or not, they don’t have them figured out, because no one does. We’re all just bouncing around life and having the wherewithal to look at your life, see the parts you don’t like, and think about ways to change those things already puts you ahead of the game.
😂 i am about 5 years older than you, and it does all work out in the weirdest ways. I've been at my job 8 years now im ahead with my saving/401k and it pays the bills on part time, i only work 4 days a week. The environment didn't get better I just found out what I could and couldn't sacrifice. I am relaxing enough to enjoy my home life and not be sooo obsessed about work to live (that's how they get ya) don't be afraid.
I am almost done with Google's UX certification; can't believe you said that. Also graduated 3 years ago, and got laid off in January (notice how it's August and I'm still talking about this). Life is just....too...no. Honestly I don't want to do anything but they insist I must be a career lady to pay my little bills. Have given up on the idea of LOVING my job and am now settled in the idea of tolerating a job and making enough to retire early.
Job suggestions Flight Attendant Nursing CNA Hairstylist Camera operator- working for tv shows Idk these are just some suggestions. Trust everything thing will work out!!!
somewhat different but I graduated hs in 2020 and on the same boat. Have 2 years left of university but still not even sure what I’m doing 😅 one things for sure you’re not alone on your journey. Starting a new job next week so we’ll see how they goes haha.
Marnie, we're almost 30 years older than you, and it all does work out and it's fine. How about finding a job with a health system to use your degree? Another thought: working for a government agency can provide better job security, personal satisfaction, and work/life balance than a corporate job, perhaps with a lower salary initially but with the potential of public service loan forgiveness, and good insurance and a good retirement plan. Paws up, - Your Q-tip Subscribers. P.S.: you'll be happier, healthier, and have more money if you stop smoking 😁
honestly yes!! sometimes it seems very discouraging based on some things i’ve seen on tiktok with people being so undervalued and having a hard time with students, but i’ve always thought i’d be good at it
@@marnie_jean I think you’d be really good at it too! I’ve been watching your videos for years and I’ve always thought this in the back of my head. I was initially interested in Chico’s education program and that’s how I found you. I ended up at San Diego but I’m so happy about it! I’ve heard of a lot of teachers who have their degree in nutrition! It’s a stable career with good benefits and you’ve always felt like a teacher type leader for me at least in my college journey 🥰
