    now this is huge. I've been burdened with rendering inside Houdini for years as I've never found an effective way to get houdinis attributes out of houdini and into other DCCs. You're a legend for this!

      @@kwesikwaa cycles isnt as powerful as karma but it does the job for me atleast, im new to houdini switched from blender and rendering in houdini is a nightmare. it also doesnt have capacity to render as points and some other things but it works good for me

      @@adilmughal3039 ivent used cycles myself since 2014 probably.
      but solaris and karma (xpu) do a pretty good job. i do UE lumen through usd occasionally so wanted to know how cycles fares.. i hope you get used to houdini and karma enough to give more feedback in the future. all the best 😊

    Absolutely love youuu! Starting with Houdini in a time where this is already available and I can just keep rendering in octane is insane!

    Bro you have something gold here. If you can do a tutorial from start to finish in a sample simulation that will be great. Cause not any one has the knowledge to figure out how this works. Thank you for your hard work

    The path when selected ads a documents string in the end. after removing that works fine. Working with H20 and blender 4.1

    That is very smart ! I tried to use it in Houdini 20.5 , my computer freezes after I hit cook and continue with or without saving. Checking the directory I see the .abc file created but no files for the attributes which means it hangs after the abc saving phase.
    Thank you for your smartass script mate. USD seems to carry the attributes without a huslte in blender 4.3 but I prefer to work with abc

    hi ! well done and very impressive work !! but i have an issues about ObjectId.. i see you use on instancer for one instance, do you have a solution to make a multi object instancer with ObjectID ? Thanks !

    How can you actually visualize the points as a mesh? I tried but I don't know where to place the node "Mesh to points" in the geometry nodes. I'm not very practical. Can someone help?

    amazing addon bro , it does not seem to fully work as it export the alembic file and it create a cache max folder but not the attributes . any suggestions ?

    Hi, good job! Have you any ideas on how to export velocity on point in alambic or with vertex animation exportations? I'm looking for ways to achieve motion blur in Blender with particles exported from Houdini. Thank you,

      Hey, as far as I know by default the alambic doesn't export velocity for point clouds. I think there are some ways around tho.
      You can also use the htb exporter of the video, should be the easier solution! Once that you have your velocity attibute inside blender, motion blur will work :) let me know if this helps!

    Your addon is amazing but I made a liquid simulation in houdini and when I import the attribute to blender, the attribute and the point doesn't match. Do you know why or how I can fix it?

      I had the same problem, make sure u select the att u want and use 4.0.2 or older of Blender

    Hey man looks like a nifty tool there I've tried to export the file to blender everything seems to export correctly but once I'm in blender it states that the file folder is wrong. I pointed it at the attributes folder. I'm using the latest 4.1.1 version of Blender. Any Idea?

    hey! great tool, but sadly it is not working for me. When i try to import the attributes i get the error 'KeyError: "bpy_prop_collection_[key]: key "export.mask_falloff.v1.1001.exr" not found' even though i link the folder correctly and the files are definitely there. Any idea why this would be happening?
