  • May 2010, spring concert of Martin High School. From left to right: Kirstie Maldonado, Scott Hoying, and Mitch Grassi. This is one of several pieces performed as a side thing when the choirs were changing out on stage to avoid the normal huge gap of time in between..

      I still remember seeing them in a concert hall with 500 people. 500. It was the best concert I've been to. The audience was quiet when needed and singing when needed, all in the mood, it was amazing. And the ticket was only €10.

    • @prankpatrol89
      @prankpatrol89 9 лет назад +16

      Allison Lam Exactly. One day in grade 10, some kid was really bugging the shit out of me because he kept singing "Scottttt haaaand meeee the taaapeeeeee" and he sat right next to me and kept trying to grab the tape from my hands so I threw it at his head and I got my first ever detention xD Over the summer after grade 10 he moved to Toronto. He was really really really good at singing and I wish I had been more friendly with him. Of course we have many memories together, and when he came back to our school for a visit, I walked with him to get a lunch (the cafeteria lady surprisingly let him have one even though he didn't go to school there) and we talked about how much we missed each other and I led him around the school looking for our classmates. Then we all hung out in a random classroom and he sang one of his originals for us and told us about Toronto. He apparently does like 2-3 shows a week now on top of school and he's really busy all the time. One day, some of you people will remember this comment after reading that Brandon Glazer is making it big and I will be known as the kid who threw one of those heavy tape dispensers at him in high school. You will all be jelly :) (I also have a video of him, myself, and our friend playing the Heads Up! app in the middle of the hallway at school, so there is that)

    Three high school students who had a dream and were willing to put in the blood, sweat, and tears to make it happen. They deserve everything that they have achieved in the last ten years. Their song "The Lucky Ones" shows their humility, but it was grit and determination that put them where they are - - - Okay, and incredible talent.

      +Ehrinn Sitton I feel pretty good about it, honestly. It's my "lame claim to fame." I never got anything for it (especially since I never monetized this video), but it's a great conversation starter and something I get to feel really hipster about. Also, I have 425+ subscribers, which is pretty cool considering I've only uploaded one video and will probably never upload another.
      I'm honestly very happy for the members of PTX and all they've accomplished. I've gotten all their albums and try to make it to their concerts that happen in Dallas (I was in the very far back row for the last one, but it was still great!). My younger sister still finds it weird that high school friends/classmates of hers are famous.

    It's dazzling that three such tremendously talented high schoolers should come from the same school! I am amazed and delighted by their voices, harmonies, arrangement, poise, verve, and... and... They are extraordinary and this performance is terrific! A precursor of the wonderful things and performances that have followed. Way to go, you three!

    imagine what they would do if you told them back in high school that they would get together to become a grammy award winning, platinum selling, #1 chart topping artists in the future. They would probably laugh in you face.

    I keep noticing that from the very beginning and 90% of the time the band stands in its traditional order: Avi, Kirstie, Scott, Mitch and Kevin from left to right.
    Pretty damn awesome.

      michaelNXT1 The bases are on the end, then the high voices, then the middle voice in the middle. Mixes better that way.
