@DESCOCO05 - it's a shame, but I think the people behind them just didn't realise how good they'd turn out to be! They had a change of management after a couple of years and that's when they really took off here in the UK - by that I mean even cynics were starting to take notice. But there was nobody to finance a major attempt to crack other markets.. their Australian attempt highlights this.. too short a promotional tour and not enough coverage. The world has missed out on some major popness :)

whoever mixed this shit fucked up so badly... it's like they put Cheryl mic alot louder then it needed to be and they turned down Kim's and then in post tried to even it out by turning Kim's up and Cheryl's down... as for Shara and Nadine there's just needed to be a tad louder... I think Nicola realised that hers was a bit louder and that's why she holds hers away from her mouth... you can usually tell when singers can't hear themselves they either sing louder or hold the mic closer to there mouth to hear and strain the hell out of there vocals

Kelly and other R&B acts that were huge in America. But the girls did it and they went to number one, making them the first British act since the Beatles to top the American charts. So there defenitely is a market for pop music in the US. Not every American loves HipHop/Urban music.

The Spice Girls Reunion Tour did really well in North America, so I don't think that people were sick of them. If pop is really not that huge in the US, how do you explain Miley's and Madonna's success? Kylie is pretty successful in the States.
gosh this song is great for harmonies but as much as i like girls aloud they cant harmonize to save their lives especially cheryl and nadine in the beginning they werent blending well. even tho cheryl had the higher harmony she was way too loud. they have plenty of songs they can harmonize on but they insist on shouting and not listen to each other, thats why i tend to like groups like the saturdays who can harmonize
Great song and I am sure they put on a good show for the fans but all the "great vocals" comments here is laughable. They are all 'Working Mens Club' standard singers and nothing more. Cheryl and Kimberley especially can barely hold a note - just listen - they are tone deaf!
