Pierre, just to set proper expectations, the Philippines is not all sunny paradise. While you are in the big city (Metro Manila), keep safe. A lot of bad people in Metro Manila. Once you are done with the Grand Biniverse Concert, go to places away from Metro Manila. Go to Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Negros Island, Bohol, Siquijor, Siargao - these places are paradise.

I will be staying in Cebu for the first week of my stay (a short walk from the Resto Bar of Aiah's parents) and flying to manila only for the concert... then after that first week i will most likely stay in Bohol and Panglao and look around there because that is my main focus where i want to settle when I finally move there

All I know is that you can actually get to the Philippines without applying for a Visa. You'll get it at the airport anyway. You're free to stay for a month. I think they'll just ask you to have a return ticket. Also, I believe the were sipping on a mango shake, Pierre!
