on rewatch, it really feels like 13 took 12's final speech to heart. She encapsulated everything he told her to do.

“Never be cruel” - 13 immediately uses the same DNA-destroying weapons as the villain and traps innocent creatures in an airtight bunker to suffocate them to death.
“Never be cowardly” - 13 often runs away to let others sacrifice themselves instead of being willing to do it herself.
Let’s also not forget the time 13 gave a _very clearly Indian man_ to the _Nazis_ without a hint of remorse or thought towards the consequences. Besides the obvious implication that the Master had been sent to a concentration camp, the Nazis were known to conduct experiments on their prisoners; if the Master had, for whatever reason, regenerated during his imprisonment, he would’ve _immediately_ been taken to be experimented on and dissected, experiencing the same pain that the Timeless Child went through (which would’ve been an interesting story beat). The fact the Doctor didn’t even think of the effect this would have on history is insane.
If they _really_ wanted the Master to be taken by the Nazis, they should’ve had it be a mistake made on his part; then, to keep their relationship in-character, have the Doctor try to prevent the Nazis from taking him before being attacked by the Kasaavin. This way allows for the Master double down on his belief that killing the Time Lords was right, because he’s now experienced _first-hand_ what the Timeless Child went through, and keeps the 13th Doctor from looking like a self-absorbed, condescending, holier-than-thou bitch who willingly sends her oldest friend to a life of pure torture.
@@Jackson-ub1uv honestly I was so hung up on how messed up handing over the Master was to begin with, it never occurred to me that 13 almost let the nazis discover regeneration lmao. Another example of Chibnall setting up great potential stories, then writing the blandest shlock possible

Capaldi starts to regenerate....*the tardis* ooooh he is monologuing again that's nice. I love it when he does that. *the tardis notices the regeneration energy* oh, is he reginarating? Now I know what the Dale's felt. And he still HASNT LEARNED TO DO OUTSIDE OF MY CONSOLE ROOM. RED ALERT. *rings cluster bells one after the other in panic*

@@viola_case Eh not really, you can still easily skip the chibnall era. There are timeless child mentions here and there but can't see them addressing the bigger picture. The orphan side yes but not anything else, no point really.
In one of the novelisations when Twelve mentions his browser history he quickly thinks about his and River's conversations and certain "cat pictures" that have been sent. Take that as you like.

@@hiyakabrothers7010 i have some clips that spring to mind, like in s8 episode time heist, when capaldi answers the phone was fucking hilarious. The scene in twice upon a time where he has his reaction to nardole showing up was funny but also the following scene is very emotional and enjoyable. Also literally any scene from deep breath with capaldi in it is funny as shit. The clip in time of angels when the doctor 'sonics' river with amys following remark is funny and when missy pretends to be the doctor in world enough and time is funny too. The part in extremis when the pope walks into bills room is funny also. I notice these clips are exclusively the moffat era because i couldnt really think of much of rtd, moffat is just much better at comedy.
