I don't get why everyone is so keen to credit dhoni for winning trophies but when someone like rohit wins the wc we start pointing things out like luck, conditions,etc.

@@CuriousCricketFan He has a very much calm demeanor about him never looks too flustered ,backs his youngsters and players to get the job done, plans very well for big tournaments in advance and more importantly makes sure that the team executes the plans( case in point are the recent 2 wcs where India won 17 of their 18 matches and most of them were quite convincing.Also when he knows the quality of a player he will go all the way for them
There is a reason why Rohit just like Dhoni also has 5 ipl trophies, but Kohli has none despite being the GOAT.

Rohit sharma is tactically stronger than dhoni. Had he been given captaincy instead of chokli way back in 2017 we would ve trophies n proofs. Chokli was not that strong(not needed to be so) not every good batsman has tactical capabilities. Match hath se nikla ne samay me sochna hoga ki keise match me fir se aajayi. Sirf sledge karne pe nahi hotha. Chokli lags critical thinking. Ipl is the same platform with which we can compare both dhoni n Rohit . Rohit won 5 times first(had idiotic boucher hadn't been made coach he would've won atleast one more). The thing i like abt Rohit is he has ppl who wanted to suppress him and gave him limitations but he overpowered them with his Technical prowess and Making glory. Even after the trolls even after made a courtesy captain at 37 he wins u a ICC trophy and many more to come. Chokli is in n out of form from 2019. But this legend right from 2012 he was in form Love you captain RohitSharma

Imagine if like a person from the Indian crew says to Indian team that this is a normal match but also try your absolute hardest and it was the final of a icc trophy. You have to trick your mind into thinking this is just a normal match but you just have to try harder.

Definitely Rohit is a good white ball captain. In wc 2023 and 2024 squad selection was great. We also got many moment of brilliance in knockout- surya's trophy defining catch. Many edges of rohit gone for 4 or 6 (specially in his 92 vs Australia and 52 vs Ireland) that's pure luck.
At last, indian spinners rocked during whole tournament due to dry pitches of west indies and match timing (no dew because all matches played under sunlight).
Bro fortune favours the brave as far as the edges are concerned and also he was never bothered about personal milestones. Also his captaincy in crucial games v aus,pak,eng,sa were important

Bumrah no ball snatched champions trophy 2017 from us, hardik & ashwin no balls ended our hope of winning t20wc 2016.

2023 selection was bad players like suryakumar shouldn’t be allowed to play odi also I feel gill was out of form for the entire thing other than semi final. Also yes Rahul is good but he choked in the final I don’t know if they will select him in champions trophy. Kinda feel bad for Rahul one bad innings might change his entire career. Hopefully everyone can get over choking. With t20 win it is just a start of getting over choking. I wouldn’t consider them chokers anymore if they win both icc trophies next year.
