I'm still disappointed that team ninja didn't add a different cutscene for this part. Maybe one when Ryu believes that Doku is defeated and suddenly he stands and take Ryu with his guard down.
"I'm still disappointed that team ninja didn't add a different cutscene for this part." Yeah, like in Sekiro! That little difference in the cutscene was a great touch. "Probably cause they didn't think anyone would actually beat the boss fight that was supposed to kill them" If you beat Doku, it unlocks the next difficulty level. That means they anticipated it, then programmed and tested something for it.
Definitely this game's biggest drawback. They had the chance to fix it in Black, Sigma, then Master Collection, but never even bothered. Fortunately this is still an amazing game and by the time you get good at it, your camera management skills become an art form
@@brunomantovaneli6076 i think the only fix for this is a FIXED CAMERA like theres no need to use the right analog let the game itself move and i wish theres a targeting thing on this game so the jump Triangle/Y is easier to pull up but no big issue still can pull it off except on those big worms
@@brunomantovaneli6076 "They had the chance to fix it in Black, Sigma, then Master Collection, but never even bothered." They did improve the camera over multiple games but there's only so much you can do without reprogramming the whole game. That takes time and money beyond what they likely had and could fundamentally alter the game. Big fixes like that, rebuilding major systems from the ground up, you do that in sequels. Each game in the series got better and better camera. However, the games also got a lot more linear, which means the levels were almost all big, open areas where you could have fights. Not a lot of narrow passageways like the Tairon sewers with multiple exits and twisting paths. "i think the only fix for this is a FIXED CAMERA...like theres no need to use the right analog let the game itself move" NG04 didn't have right-stick camera controls, and it was worse for it. It's not a bad idea, and it can be done really well, like the original (PS2) God of War. But you have to design your whole game and all your levels and character moves around that. You can't do Flying Swallows down a narrow stairway like in the top of Han's Bar. You don't want to have a fights in narrow, turning tunnels like the Ice Caverns or the sewers or the first hallway in the airship (with the big T intersection). Camera is a big deal, you can't just change it and nothing else, unless your original camera was truly terrible (like NG04 or MGS3 - both of which had terrible cameras because of lack of player control).
@home9dog2blue "IF THEY JUST KEPT IT AT ONE SIMPLE 3RD PERSON ANGLE THE ENTIRE GAME WOULD'VE BEEN A FAR BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR ALOT OF US" What do you mean, one angle? Like, always facing south? Or like, always behind Ryu? Or like the original God of War? Those first two would be unplayable. The third one works only with levels like God of War that are designed with large spaces, linear travel, and no fourth wall. Ninja Gaiden can't do that. There's too much exploration, and even the opening area, the ninja fortress, has too many narrow hallways, twists and turns, and vertically stacked rooms. It just wouldn't work for this game. "it costs THAT MUCH to be able to tap ONE BUTTON to change perspective?" No, the one-button tap to put the camera behind Ryu was in NG04. The user-controlled camera on the right stick was the new feature. That takes a lot more work. Features that you can describe in one sentence or seem simple to you as a player are not always easy to program. "they already have a FIRST PERSON CAMERA THAT YOU CAN ACCESS TO CHANGE YOUR VIEWPOINT AT WILL." This is the kind of thing I mean. That camera is inside Ryu's body so it doesn't have to worry about clipping against walls. It's slow and doesn't move, so it doesn't have to worry about quick angle changes. It also doesn't have to worry about how far it needs to pull back from the character. There are a ton of problems with third-person cameras that first-person cameras don't have. You don't even have to worry about tracking Ryu when he does something like a Flying Swallows teleport attack facing sideways or backwards to the camera, because that can't happen in first person. You see? There's all this crap you don't even realize. "If EVERY GAME from here on out just game the player the OPTION to change WHERE the camera is to their liking, we'd all be in a MUCH BETTER MOOD about games like this" Yeah of course. But just because it's easy to ask for something doesn't mean it's easy to create it. Ninja Gaiden is a hard game to create a camera for. There are people whose whole job is programming video game cameras. Think about that. It's a whole, full-time job. It's not easy. I'm not saying it's OK that the game has bad camera, but they did improve it with each version, and it's not a small amount of work.
