I actually hate the Mother vs. Undertale flame wars. It makes no sense whatsoever, because Toby is LITERALLY a Mother fan who made Undertale as an homage to Mother. It’s okay if Mother fans dislike Undertale, but treating it as garbage and hating obsessively over a fandom that mostly does the same things as they do (quirky humor, constant quote references, etc.) is a bizarre conflict of interest. Undertale fans also owe a lot to Mother for inspiring their favorite game, so it’s a really strange conflict that makes no sense to me. Blaming the game for the fandom is also fallacial. I guess you could say these flame wars are…UNFOUNDED.

The main melody of Unfounded Revenge is literally an adaptation of an orchestral piece by Shostakovich. However, they use quite difference instruments. Bonetrousle uses 8-bit synths, acoustic drums, and some violins, while Unfounded Revenge uses 16-bit orchestral instruments (brass, strings, a bit of flute, military snare drums and timpanis). They don’t use a similar soundfont; pretty much everything else is similar, but cannot be called a “ripoff.”

This sounds like a solemn, yet triumphant theme of battle. I think it would really fit a genocide-route royal guard Papyrus who's no longer sad about his brother's death, and is only determined to take you down.
Dang, I'm amazed by how well these two work together. Not only are they perfectly paced, but they cover each other's... slower points, for lack of a better word. The result is an incredibly active, catchy tune that I'm starting to get stuck in my head. xD

Glad to know i wasn't the only one who spotted these similarities between my FAVORITE games, Toby was filled with so much DETERMINATION from the mother games that he made his own, Fassad and Papyrus have that same NWEHEHEHEHEHEH laugh, and these songs sound almost exactly the same (that are also some of my favorite songs from both of the games)

Glad to know i wasn't the only one who spotted these similarities between my FAVORITE games, Toby was filled with so much DETERMINATION from the mother games that he made his own, Fassad and Papyrus have that same NWEHEHEHEHEHEH laugh, and these songs sound almost exactly the same (that are also some of my favorite songs from both of the games)
It's funny looking back at this mashup and realizing that it somehow managed to turn the comment Section of most mother 3 songs into flame wars.

I'm thinking more of the line of EarthTale. As the first game takes place undergound, and a hypothetical second game would take place on the surface, regardless of a crossover or not mostly likely.
