Pretty much just excited for Alfonse and Robin, not really excited for Felix and Bernie since people pushed for them after how people complained about the "Engage Sweep," even though that game really isn't as impactful as Three Houses and people kept complaining about Three Houses reps winning every year.
It's hilariously messed up that Felix got the Levin Sword before both Robins (and is even on a banner with one, no less) I'm really glad to see how strong Bernie is though, AND she's supportive too
To be clear, when I say it's hilariously messed up, I mean in the sense that the Levin Sword has been associated with Robin for who knows how long thanks to Smash and stuff And then in comes Felix, who despite having a few options of his own (like the Sword of Moralta, Sword of Zoltan, they could've even worked with the Aegis Shield in some way), just ended up getting the Levin Sword anyway Especially when as a Mortal Savant he could've been a mage here instead, and then Robin would have gotten the Levin Sword
Alfonse is gonna be a problem. I can see why Hel was intimidated. Not killing him immediately means he'll live as a threat... And he's even a threat in terms of fodder... it's like he's a threat whether he lives or dies. Robin's fate was sealed as soon as Felix got second place. There was no way Felix wasn't going to have a sword. Him stealing Levin sword is funny though. Female Robin having the same outfit as male Robin makes the most sense. Lore- wise, Chrom gives them the outfit. Both Robins dress the same in almost every version. I do feel this Robin is more tactical in a way. I do like that they made Bernie blue and Robin colorless. Even if things are as expected, they did play with expectations a bit (like not giving Felix his heroes relic or sacred weapon). It's a bit ironic seeing Bernie with Inexhaustible given that it canonically clashes with her personal skill. Also interesting that she doesn't have a version of deadeye, pass, sweep, or vengeance. Kinda wish she had full damage reduction though, kinda like Claude. Just to cover all bases. Prime is weird on her... Nergal is already a menace... Flared Sparrow still seems better for her... And would be an ironic reference to The Blood of Eagle and Lion. Still choosing her as my free summon. That was always going to be the case no matter the result. I can't wait for Pannette. It's weird that she's a GHB, and here before normal Timerra, but I'm stoked. I hope she keeps her insane attack stat. She'll be the first green grail unit I'll fully invest in.

Alfonses voice made me double check omg it's so good how mature he sounds. Also has my favourite gimmikc out of this years Brave batch. My favourite fodder is Tempest 4.
Great Units, but I'm sad that Alfonse wont wear his Brave Outfit in the Main Story, they really need new Outfits... Especially hyped for Panette, because it's been Ages since I build a Grail Unit. I don't even know if I have any necessary skills right now😅

I think this condition makes some sense, because, If she only needed to do an action, then Mila would completely replace M! Lumera entirely in Light season haha
@@llukelcs Which is fair, but Lumera (to my knowledge) has different stats and skills than just laying down the Vein, and having DC would help Mila ease the burden of combat from the others a bit.
@@shinigamimiroku3723 you're right, Lumera has other supportive capabilities, but right now her most coveted support is the terrain for E! Ike, i think. If Mila could already give it out, you could replace Lumera for another support unit like F! Veyle, Gatekeeper, A! Miccaiah, etc.
I am planning to pick Bernadette since she’s able to defeat great units with True Damage Reduction like E!Ike (if she have enough support with her). Curved Shot as Special and her weapon seems really good. But her prf skill is interesting. Hopefully she ages very well.
I am so glad they did what they did for Brave Bernadetta. They gave her the inexhaustible which was the one thing I hoped for the most, and her Prf C skill looks absolutely insane. Prime and Assassin Strike are kinda weird but I do not mind at all. Her ar it also very pretty imo. I was also very surprised to see Panette as the GHB unit because I thought she'd be a 5-Star on a Solm Banner, but she's my favorite Engage character too more than anything else so I'm still very happy!
This year's CYL looks awesome, they are all incredible imo, and I can't wait to summon them all, especially Alfonse who got himself an incredible alt, both gameplay and design wise. Also, Panette is finally in FEH, let's go!

Finally! Been waiting for this. Im really not sure who to +10. Ive been saving for months for this. I think Alfonse, but possibly Felix. I love tanking and love galeforce strats, it’s so tough. I do need a new arena staple though to replace my Fallen Byleth

Alfonse has my favorite cyl because he has the shiny and new mechanics with great talent, but I think Felix terrifies me the most, not because I think he’s good but because of the premium slaying -2, I already revere slaying effect for being the best effect in the game and going another cooldown is so much, it makes me think there’s finally going to be an effect that forcibly counters slaying effect by increasing the cooldown

This CYL looks incredible imo. I plan to get them all, but I'm definitely most excited for Bernadetta and Alfonse, especially Alfonse who has the best design imo. Also, Pannette was a nice surprise since I've been wanting her to come to FEH.
When I add the stats of Panette I reach 197, meaning 200 BST, as melee infantry should after this update, not 210. I am not sure where you saw the trainee boost 🤔
Every year... the amount of words needed to describe a skill increases to the point I no longer pay attention to how they work. Just pull new unit and keep rolling gacha. It's really killing any desire for merge projects given the stat disparity and fodder requirements.

28:32 I almost certain the reason Fortifications has the 'Player Phase only' portion is because it's replicating the effects Divine Vein (Stone) gives you in combat. That way, your always being 'fortified'.

Panette honestly feels like a consolation prize for the people who expected an Engage sweep for this year's CYL. As for the units themselves, each one feels busted in their own unique way, so it's very hard for me to tell right now which one will age better vs which one's fodder will become very desirable.
I’ve been thinking about this for a little bit but I wish you could use a forma soul to create a blue border copy of any unit you have (minus rearmed/attuned) so you can give their kit without losing a unit a little more frequently by using a limited resource.
People complaining about Robin and Robin sharing clothing when that's the most Robin thing they do. Alfonse comes through as powerful as he should be, we must get Sharena in on the next CYL.
Been saving since the beginning of the year for cyl8! I had around 1,800 orbs to start with, and I lost about 930 summoning for this year's round of braves. I couldn't +10 Felix right away, which is a shame because he was favorite, but I think my plan now is to wait until April to test my luck again. It's so funny how his kit is literally winter Edelgard but red and with more movement lol in the story maps I kept forgetting he could move again and he would 1 round my entire team. Very cool Felix.
I've been so excited the entire week just to be more excited about panette in the end 🤣 I wasn't expecting her at all but I love her so very happy with that
fortifications is interesting, the def/res buffs and special dr during player phase are a direct copy of divine vein stone effects, so the equipping unit effectively has them at all times unless theyre already on stone terrain during pp, where its would be doubled
Young Innes is getting a refine in February... since Deadeye is already in his weapon, Curved Shot is looking pretty perfect for him! Imma hold onto a Bernie til then in hopes there's no overlap with the refine!
My interpretation of the 99 max of Great Talent is for when you use Alfonse in modes like Binding Worlds, where you can get levels above Lv40, so you can easily have huge stats.
I really love female robin but i think she could have a new outfit. Also Alfonse getting a ridiculous new effect is amazing to see and I'm proud of him in the armor of his father, so cool
I feel like you'll be able to combine Felix's galeforce+tankyness to make him the ultimate "hit and sit" unit. Go in, take out the 1-2 units who could actually overtake him, then sweep the rest in enemy phase.
Alfonse is doing quick math. Imagine you are challenging Alfonse but you're needing a calculator because of his skills, do calculate his actual stats. Alfonse is now a true king help his people and they are helping him.
Bernie could've been mediocre as sin but it wouldn't matter because she's still one of my top 2 favorite FE characters of all time and being able to run a full Bernadetta team is exactly what I want!
Reopening can be better than Laguz friend if you have the tools for it, Full DR piercing and special jumping to counter scowl. I don't know about the last one but this could be used with deadeye and no quarter if you have slaying. And technically that C skill from Brave Female Robin. I don't like that skill too much as I couldn't run that with ploy which would give the penalties. It came to mind that Nastrond infantry users can keep their DR. In conclusion, it could be nice for low cooldown specials like slaying plus emblem marth no quarter. Just hoping I can get all alfonse skills on infantry units or any unit in general.
I wasnt that super excited for this CYL round, as I dont really love any of the characters but I gotta say that they look very fun to play around with. But Alfonse is the stand out for me. Will be fun to experiment around with his kit and just in general.

This CYL honestly looks amazing, Alfonse is most likely gonna be my free choice. The only thing I don't like about this is how lazy both F!Robin and Felix's designs are, F!Robin basically got the same as M!Robin, and Felix is just a class upgrade with nothing unique to his character.
#question if you could pick 3 feh book original stories to be made into a full FE game, which would you pick? For me, I think I’d choose book 2, book 3, and book 6. Also, hope this question gets you a 5 star within the next 5 summons 👀

So I chose Alfone as my free unit just to fodder off his A and B skill to my +10 Idunn and with the fort res def seal and dragon flowers she has a base 69 defense before her weapon and atk def menace activates so good luck killing her in melee without a blue armor effective weapon..
Do you still do the F2P summon (for GHB maps?) I’m probably still choosing as much Felix as I can but, would be good to keep in mind as I get the other sparks.

28:32 I almost certain the reason Fortifications has the 'Player Phase only' portion is because it's replicating the effects Divine Vein (Stone) gives you in combat. That way, your always being 'fortified'.

Panette honestly feels like a consolation prize for the people who expected an Engage sweep for this year's CYL.
As for the units themselves, each one feels busted in their own unique way, so it's very hard for me to tell right now which one will age better vs which one's fodder will become very desirable.
I didn't even want an engage sweep but at least ONE engage character, but what do you know, more three houses lol. Excited for Panette though
I’ve been thinking about this for a little bit but I wish you could use a forma soul to create a blue border copy of any unit you have (minus rearmed/attuned) so you can give their kit without losing a unit a little more frequently by using a limited resource.
People complaining about Robin and Robin sharing clothing when that's the most Robin thing they do.
Alfonse comes through as powerful as he should be, we must get Sharena in on the next CYL.
Been saving since the beginning of the year for cyl8! I had around 1,800 orbs to start with, and I lost about 930 summoning for this year's round of braves. I couldn't +10 Felix right away, which is a shame because he was favorite, but I think my plan now is to wait until April to test my luck again.
It's so funny how his kit is literally winter Edelgard but red and with more movement lol in the story maps I kept forgetting he could move again and he would 1 round my entire team. Very cool Felix.

fortifications is interesting, the def/res buffs and special dr during player phase are a direct copy of divine vein stone effects, so the equipping unit effectively has them at all times unless theyre already on stone terrain during pp, where its would be doubled
Young Innes is getting a refine in February... since Deadeye is already in his weapon, Curved Shot is looking pretty perfect for him! Imma hold onto a Bernie til then in hopes there's no overlap with the refine!
My interpretation of the 99 max of Great Talent is for when you use Alfonse in modes like Binding Worlds, where you can get levels above Lv40, so you can easily have huge stats.
I really love female robin but i think she could have a new outfit. Also Alfonse getting a ridiculous new effect is amazing to see and I'm proud of him in the armor of his father, so cool

I feel like you'll be able to combine Felix's galeforce+tankyness to make him the ultimate "hit and sit" unit. Go in, take out the 1-2 units who could actually overtake him, then sweep the rest in enemy phase.
I am quite excited about Panette. Hopefully her PRF is decent.

Bernie could've been mediocre as sin but it wouldn't matter because she's still one of my top 2 favorite FE characters of all time and being able to run a full Bernadetta team is exactly what I want!
Reopening can be better than Laguz friend if you have the tools for it, Full DR piercing and special jumping to counter scowl. I don't know about the last one but this could be used with deadeye and no quarter if you have slaying. And technically that C skill from Brave Female Robin. I don't like that skill too much as I couldn't run that with ploy which would give the penalties. It came to mind that Nastrond infantry users can keep their DR.
In conclusion, it could be nice for low cooldown specials like slaying plus emblem marth no quarter.
Just hoping I can get all alfonse skills on infantry units or any unit in general.
We still have a chance for Levin Sword with the Awakening or Engage design, especially as an Arcane Weapon (yes, this is copium).
9:23 Felix does have 1 skill that compares speed: the dmg reduction trigger in his special. Just realized this after getting him myself.

I wasnt that super excited for this CYL round, as I dont really love any of the characters but I gotta say that they look very fun to play around with. But Alfonse is the stand out for me. Will be fun to experiment around with his kit and just in general.

This CYL honestly looks amazing, Alfonse is most likely gonna be my free choice. The only thing I don't like about this is how lazy both F!Robin and Felix's designs are, F!Robin basically got the same as M!Robin, and Felix is just a class upgrade with nothing unique to his character.

So I chose Alfone as my free unit just to fodder off his A and B skill to my +10 Idunn and with the fort res def seal and dragon flowers she has a base 69 defense before her weapon and atk def menace activates so good luck killing her in melee without a blue armor effective weapon..
