Sadly, these are the two most frequently abused. As a performer and victim of these egotistical losers, I could get behind permanently banning violators.
I met my wife at a open mic 7 years ago. She was there to play as I was. We both enjoyed each other's sets and soon we formed a punk band and started dating.
#11 Don't take yourself too serious. There will never be a talent scout looking to sign you, and if there is, they're a liar and a thief. # 12 Try and have fun. #13 Don't get a DWI call a cab or don't drink. 🎉
Spot on. A few people I've seen at some open mics take themselves too seriously. It's no bueno. Having fun, even if things don't fully go as planned, is still better than being critical towards those around you. Being an ass to your sound engineer or crowd won't make people want to listen to you.
Acoustic almost means an acoustic with a pick-up. Tone tends to be too treble, sounds "tinny". So check for an equalizer or even get a little pre amp. Don't OVER PLAY your guitar. Learn to use a capo so you sing right out of your range. Be Courageous and It's good to talk - before and after - introduce yourself, meet people. Don't talk about the song on stage.

@@theunaccompaniedsenior no you wouldn't, you couldn't be a neighbor to anyone with your toxicity
