      @@johnbant8440Good question. In my hometown here in New England in the U.S., our two lakes in town are cleared of weeds with a weed harvester that works like a combine for crops, and brings the weeds into a bed. It cuts them off fairly low under the water too.

    Bonjour mon ami. Comment vas tu? J'espère que tout vas pour le mieux.
    J'ai une question peut être bête mais pourquoi il y a autant de végétaux, de jacinthe en ce moment et pas a d'autre période ?
    En tout cas merci de partager ses vidéos que j'adore. Les petites vidéos a bord des bateaux aussi sont sympathiques. En tout cas merci a toi et bonne continuation.

      Bonjour, merci d'avoir regardé la vidéo. Les jacinthes d'eau vivent beaucoup dans les canaux, mais là où il y a peu de débit d'eau, les jacinthes d'eau vivent beaucoup, mais à une certaine période de l'année la jacinthe d'eau se déplacera des canaux jusqu'à la porte du barrage.

    The water hyacinth should be collected in a barge, taken to large mulcher and left to dry in the sun, then used for garden mulch, a very saleable product I should think.

    • @kpb96m
      @kpb96m Год назад +9

      The harvested water hyacinth can pose a health risk to humans because of the plant's propensity for absorbing contaminants, and it is considered toxic to humans. In Vietnam, the plants are boiled and chopped for pig feed. Its also used as cattle forage, fertilizer and mulch.

    All the boats failing to pass the dam slow down the purging of the vegetables ("hyacinth"). I would suggest that after opening the dam gates, there should be a mandatory wait before entering the passage. It seems like a 15 minute wait would be enough to clear the floating vegetation out of the passage

    It is not just the water Hyacinth that is the problem. The single narrow gate is the problem. The volume of water flowing downstream is the problem. As this water is pressed into a narrow slot. The speed of the water increases. Water about 30 - 50m upstream from the gate, starts to accelerate as it passes the narrow gate. This then slows once it gets out the other side. Open more gates to help this

    Вот сейчас, как раз тот случай, когда огромная масса гиацинта является большим препятствием для продвижения лодок. Много лодок со слабым двигателем, не могут пробиться через ворота плотины!!!

    Die Wasserhyazinthen sind nicht das Problem, sondern das die Boote total Überladen sind und/oder die Boote uralt sind.

    Looks like there is a good oportunity for someone to offer TUGBOAT or pusher services for overloaded/underpowered vessels that are having trouble getting through and causing a traffic jam. . . 🤔

      While I'm not from there, I would assume that profit margins on these runs are very slim, and boat owners wouldn't simply be able to afford this. This is probably the reason why majority of the boats are so overloaded. People just want to get as much money as possible from the run.

    You would think that since they know that the vegetation is a problem, they would have a few boats going around blocking it from getting to that gate! After all the boats get through,then let the vegetation go down river.

      Здравствуйте, спасибо за просмотр видео. Это ворота плотины, которые регулируют воду, предотвращают попадание соленой воды, удерживают пресную воду и предотвращают паводковые воды. Плотина носит название Ланг Те, район Канлонг, провинция Тра Винь, Вьетнам. Надеюсь, вы сможете найти его на карте мира.!
