I'd still exercise caution but grabbing as close to the base and gripping as evenly as possible made it way less sketchy for me.

Your video is actually showing how not to do it. It is like pulling an electrical cord on the cord and not on the plug. This might damage/rip the eartips apart. Apple has designed a small cut out at the top and bottom of the eartip. This is large enough for your fingernail to put in between and than push the tip off, instead of pulling on it...

You can't pull it from the very end of it
You grab and pull from the base
@@MixStewieUse a pick or small screwdriver to pry the white part off. I personally used my teeth, and just used a spare pair of silicone tips to replace it
No, how do I get the other half out of the earbud?
I pried it off forcefully with my teeth and replaced it with a spare pair of silicon tips

Unfortunately no. It only works with Airpods pro 1 and 2 tips.

@@SomethingProbablyNothing lol yea, you gotta make sure when you’re pulling it off, to hold the air pod with your other finger and squeeze it still so it doesn’t pull with the rubber piece, I had to buy another one and learned it then

There’s no click for me, it won’t go back on
It’s not your fault of course but this is quite a poor design, there doesn’t seem to be any hope of removing the tip on mine without breaking it, what a disappointment.
