Yeah Ariel should be in human form because she went to live with prince Eric and got married. The beast should be the prince since he transformed back. I’d rather see the prince than the beast at the park.
Before the fire incident at Disneyland, Ariel was set with the main princesses who appeared in the show AT THE FRONT of the steamboat, there she would hace a lot of room to flip her tail, whereas here she’s confined with the boat’s rail and that could be a potential hazard for injury. Plus the fire works too. And for show, at least at Disneyland once the boat makes a turn, Ariel is completely out of the way. This entire “bagging the fish” seems highly unnecessary
it's not even about being out of view, it's about how long it would take to move her. It's probably not safe to move her while the boat is moving. The blanket is about protecting her, not hiding her.
If prince eric just carries her into the ship, it would be so much more magical AND the stunt person doesn't have to worry about being hit by fireworks...
Ironically it’s the most safe option for the scene, she’s hooked down and assuming it’s thirty seconds to boom boom she’s not gonna have enough time to unhook, zippers don’t work unless you’re able to hide the tail from all subsequent scenes as they may come out again (I’ve never seen the show) and costume changes won’t work with the time frame with earlier scenes.
I think it's considered a stunt for them cuz while (if I remember correctly) the cloak is fireproof, the actor is still rly close to where the fireworks come from, there's still a risk of her getting hit with one if smthn goes wrong with them.
Because a wheeled box on a boat would be dangerous. Even if the wheels had locks it would still not be attached and could move around. They would need some sort of system that locked it to the boat, which would likely take a lot of time to engage and disengage safely. Anything that could disengage quickly could also do so accidentally.
I thought them shooting fireworks as Tinkerbell slowly zipped lined through them was bad enough. That messed me up as a kid. I remember screaming “They killed Tinkerbell!!!”
Tinkerbell is also high paid. After the fireworks in magic kingdom she goes on a zip line over everyone’s head. She could decide 5 mins before that she doesn’t want to do it and still get paid a lot of money
You’d think with all the money and imagineering at Disney they could come up with some kind of podium she could stand in with the fishtail attached to it that could be rolled out and covered when she retreats with the rest of the cast.
Bro why don’t they just get another cast member to help “Eric” pick her up and take her with them? Because it wouldn’t be canonically accurate? Is she stuck to that thing or what
For the sake of your knowledge: I’ve made a phrase called “thirty seconds to boom boom” which is the amount of time I’ve estimated the cast members have before the fireworks go off. Additionally, to prevent fall damage - which given the weight of the average adult professional tail would mean potentially drowning, blunt damage from landing on the lower deck and mangling in the boat’s paddle would be worse to see than a fireproof blanket covered mermaid sitting and enjoying the pretty explosives - the actress is strapped to the seat without time to release her. Even if they could, basic show vessel safety training would tell you that carrying her as many suggested would be too hard unless in emergency situations.
We've got satellites in bloody space, self driving vehicles, and computers in the palms of our hands!! Someone must be able to make her safer than just a cloak!! 😂😂
I thought he put a blanketed fake head in a stand there, then took her out of the fixed tail and carried her to safety. What a liability. Leaving a human there but covered isn't the safest idea.
So, there's this neat thing called "retractable castor wheels". Simply install the wheels on the base of her pedestal. Pull the lever up to retract the wheels and allow the vedistal to rest on rubber feet. (Insert "yeah, that ain't going anywhere.") When going inside, pull the lever up and push/pull get and the pedestal inside. In the other hand, a cloak is a pretty simple fix, but with that extra hazard pay.

they should make it so the bottom can be opened like a trap door and she can just escape when needed
Much more error room than a fireproof blanket I’m afraid, do you know how much a life would cost the trillionaire mouse? He might actually have to… APOLOGISE that someone died due to a mechanical failure?!?
Idk why but Ariel covered with a tarp just sitting there in the dark sounds so funny!😂
For a company that is a master at stage magic, why don’t they do a fake tail puppet or animatronic and have the actress standing inside a fake seat pole so she can actually leave In the dark and put the tarp on the animatronic?
Because then the kids would just see a tail and no Ariel and think something bad happened.
@@Vesperrvnot if there’s a tarp on the animatronic tail.
This was my thought as well
@@Vesperrvagreed but they did state a way of hiding the animatronic so no points.
@@corrynhockney8059 if they could do it that way they would. But there is a reason they do it the way they do.
What I don’t understand is why Ariel isn’t in human form at this point 😂 then can she can hide like the rest of them - to be part of their world 😜
Probably because if you saw her in “human form” the entire video, you’d probably not be able to tell who she is.
@@jacksonbarkhart Uh, Ariel is only red haired princess in existence, in pretty sure we'd still recognize, especially since she stands next to prince Eric.
@@rahsanwhite6034 *sad Merida sounds*
@@jacksonbarkhartyou’re talking the language of the mouse - marketing. Yea this is the most likely reason but if a human life is on the line? It’s a rough one to justify.
They can just have her in her pink dress instead of the tail
That's not as magical or iconic
@@eiosti but it's safer and that should be the priority
She apparently just did a scene right before this where she had her tail, so there's no time for her to change outfits that quickly
@@Benno.Bcould they keep the dress for the entire show or does she swim in it? Because for a tail like that I don’t know… I’m only going off of boat logic here with the added assumption of “thirty seconds to boom boom” so any additional information would be helpful in this argumentative comment section
i wouldnt say this is the most weirdest thing theyve done 🤔
Of all the things bagging the fish could be a euphemism for this is kind of the least worst.
Thos is kinda creepy! Imagine being 3 and seeing ariel in a frickin body bag!
“One of the highest paid characters…”
And they still get paid like shit. With all that money Disney makes, remember that these performers make less than a McDonald’s manager per year.
They have to do that for protection, she is literally hooked on her sit and no one can unhook her. But still funny
Girl under the cloak “ima fight whoever said that” 😂
I honestly don't understand why they have to cover her
When I was a kid my family was sitting a lil too close to where they shot off fireworks. We got pelted by all these super hot tiny pellets. It hurt and they were hot to the touch. We were a lot further away from the fireworks than Ariel is so it could actually do some pretty decent damage/pain/burns to the actress.
He could just carry her to the ship OR hop her way over
@@mepavel681. I always presume that once the main cast starts going inside it’s thirty seconds to boom boom (so the audience doesn’t get bored)
2. Ariel is strapped down to prevent fall damage (either in the water or into the paddle if not flat on the deck)
3. Carrying is dangerous and hopping is even worse (rocking boat in motion)
It’s not a cloak, it’s a fire blanket 😂 And who in the world is calling it “bagging the fish”? Poor Ariel!
It’d be so cute if he picked her up and walked her down 😭
Her tail should be animatronic and she should stand with her legs in the seat (tube) then she should walk away and they should cover the tail. I've never seen this so I don't know if that would work.
It would, even if the animatronic broke it could still be covered. However another viewer pointed out that Ariel has her tail in a different seen and wouldn’t have time for a change of tails. The next best thing would be Ariel in her dress 100% of the show
tink is probably the highest though 😂
*highest*
Honestly waiting for the Steamboat Willie to add Asha(replacing Poppins), two more characters onto the top deck, I do not like the socially distanced empty space between Elsa and another character, Mirabel(replaces Meeko), Flynn & Rapunzel, Raya, Mei, Luca, Miguel replace the other dwarfs
Meeko the raccoon from Pocahontas? Why is he there?
Bright kids be like: Mom, I thought at the end Ariel got to keep her legs, her voice and the prince. Why is she a fish again?
😂😂😂
Yeah Ariel should be in human form because she went to live with prince Eric and got married. The beast should be the prince since he transformed back. I’d rather see the prince than the beast at the park.
[✨Marketing✨>🐭
What is the point of the show to have her as a mermaid? Just as her in her human form it would make more sense even to the kids it will make sense
It's cause the tail is the most recognizable
@@dutchik5107 idk about you but I think the safety of the actress is more important then character recognizability.
@@thetruebadevilmulti million dollar companies don't care though lmao
Why don’t they just carry her bridal style. Her and Eric are married, there would be no confusion.
I know this was based on Ariel but i cant get over how frickin cute Mickey is in his lil steamboat willie outfit 🥹😭
Over here we calls it teabagging the fish
Get a strong guy for Eric and have him carry her.
“Highest paid performers because of this stunt she has to do” is the craziest line I’ve ever heard. I’ll get bagged for a taco.
Hope Eric is one of the highest paid performers too lol he’s risking himself just as much.
I'm not into Disney stuff but that's a very fun fact.
Ariel having ptsd and tinnitus 😂😂😂 we gotchu battle
It would have been so cute if they had Eric carry her into the ship instead of covering her with a blanket
The fact alone that she has to wag her tail the entire performance like that should absolutely make it a high paying job
If prince eric just carries her into the ship, it would be so much more magical AND the stunt person doesn't have to worry about being hit by fireworks...
This is absolutely absurd
Ironically it’s the most safe option for the scene, she’s hooked down and assuming it’s thirty seconds to boom boom she’s not gonna have enough time to unhook, zippers don’t work unless you’re able to hide the tail from all subsequent scenes as they may come out again (I’ve never seen the show) and costume changes won’t work with the time frame with earlier scenes.
I dont think "sitting under a blanket watching fireworks" is condidered a stunt lol
I think it's considered a stunt for them cuz while (if I remember correctly) the cloak is fireproof, the actor is still rly close to where the fireworks come from, there's still a risk of her getting hit with one if smthn goes wrong with them.
Why dont they just put the box on wheels and push her out wheelchair style?
Because a wheeled box on a boat would be dangerous. Even if the wheels had locks it would still not be attached and could move around. They would need some sort of system that locked it to the boat, which would likely take a lot of time to engage and disengage safely. Anything that could disengage quickly could also do so accidentally.
It’s gotta be so peaceful sitting there tho, after the performance just hearing everyone and everything
Or like, use the cloak to hide her as she slips out of the tail to safety....
I thought this was karma for a second
Eric:Heres a blanket cover you self with it
Me:Carry her in
OR, not have her in fish form. Ariel had legs at the end of the movie on the boat so why are they even putting her on a barrel like that. 😂
I love that they have Eric do it 😅 so funny
...they should just have him pick her up like..a princess yk...
Notice how they’re incorporating steam boat willie. Because god forbid he enters public domain
Not me thinking Eric was going to "bah the fish" literally and drag her off
You’d think with all the money and imagineering at Disney they could come up with some kind of podium she could stand in with the fishtail attached to it that could be rolled out and covered when she retreats with the rest of the cast.
I can see the fireworks from my house everynight and never knew that!
Bro why don’t they just get another cast member to help “Eric” pick her up and take her with them? Because it wouldn’t be canonically accurate? Is she stuck to that thing or what
For the sake of your knowledge:
I’ve made a phrase called “thirty seconds to boom boom” which is the amount of time I’ve estimated the cast members have before the fireworks go off.
“Everyone get inside, Ariel, we’re…just gonna… *throws sheet* Cover your ears and pray.”
Isn’t Eric the one covering her shouldn’t he also get paid for that
They’ll pay him an additional cent if they do, technically he’s not the one at risk of being burned so he’s a lesser priority
We've got satellites in bloody space, self driving vehicles, and computers in the palms of our hands!! Someone must be able to make her safer than just a cloak!! 😂😂
There’s a Dementor on the back of the boat!! 😱🤣🤣
I thought he was gonna bag her and carry her off😂
All fun and games til a hot firework lands on her and ignites the blankets
The two highest paid cast members are Ariel and Tinkerbell
I thought he was going to dramatically carry her
My only thought: Eric+Ship+Fireworks = Inferno 💀
why are the dwarfs the size of people
Because they're people
She's giving a moth hug with a head bob
Missed opportunity to have Eric have his ✨dreamy prince moment✨ by carrying her into the boat. Why cant they just do that instead???
Eric and his pal can't carry her out by her arms? 😂
They could always put Ariel when she’s on land with her feet as she is for most of the film anyway.
Seems to me Eric should be the one getting the bank.
I thought he put a blanketed fake head in a stand there, then took her out of the fixed tail and carried her to safety. What a liability. Leaving a human there but covered isn't the safest idea.
Guys it’s a fire blanket ment to protect what ever is on fire or may possibly get on fire
