Thanks for the video Ben! I’ve never seen taxes paid on a credit card before and although it may not be super beneficial for everyone with the fees and such, it is definitely a cool idea.
Hey Ben been following you for years. Thanks for actually showing the process of transferring and making the payment that kind of transparency is why I stick around.
Mister ben are you paying your business tax or personal tax? Im asking because Im trying to pay my taxes today so i could donthe same procedure like you.
@@TheCreditShifu Thanks for the info. I have a C corp and I called the IRS but the representative couldn't give me directions on where to make my payment today.
I’ve been following your content for a couple years I appreciate your insights in fact you have helped me tremendously. Please don’t stop. Keep easy Stay safe :)
I'm considering doing this for my property taxes in Texas, which are close to 10k. I was considering the Blue Business Plus because it would be 2 points per $. I wonder though if it would be better to hit the 15k for the free weekend night on my Hilton card??????
Its would be very hard for you to work it out, since we do pay some throughout the year, we have a salary as well that gets tax taken out every month. Then there are deductions, two kids etc
Hey Ben! This is great! I was just wondering -- have you noticed the crazy prices of flights right now?! Or are you not concerned because you always pay with points 😂
Yes, Jersey City. Although thats just because we registered it my business partner’s house. The main office is in NYC and of course i have a home office
Aren’t the surcharges on British airways flights ridiculously expensive? So even if you use 100k points, you’d still be paying $3-4k in fees and surcharges. Not sure if it’s worth!
Typically business class trans atlantic is about $4000 cash price, and the taxes and fees on a points booking are about $1000. So that means you are getting $3000 in value for your 100k points = 3 c pp
Yeah i was using one of his videos where he does an ad for webull as a reference. By the way did you know you can get 5 free stocks from webull?.. link below
@@mitchell.9632 so i pay $10,000 more in state taxes VS florida or NV. But since im in thr country side, my housing is cheap, only $250k for a house here. If i went to FL or NV i would be in a big city like Vegas, so a house would be like $600k. So i am not sure, have to really crunch the numbers
@@EvOntheTube no, its for referring people to use the service Plastiq. But if you just use one of the three services on the IRS website, and pay a 2% fee, it is still worth it, if you are getting a sign up bonus
You should have paid 3000 of the federal tax with the Hilton card to hit the free night spending. Also, one way business class flights to Europe are really available for 60-70k points if you book in advance and are flexible with dates
I think you misunderstand. I will get the hilton free night, the spending i did took me to about $12k, only need to make up $3k of organic spend, easy. For business class, the 100k i quotes is for a round trip ticket, so that is actually 50k each way, sometimes it is 60k each way at peak times
@@Tony36847 yeah but that is not the case. I will get a hilton free night since i will easily spend $3k in the next few months anyway, and i would prefer to earn Amex points than hilton points on my tax payment, they are worth more, and i am talking about a round trip business class flight, not a one way. The price is 50k off peak, 60k peak. So total is 100 to 120k. Maybe on some other airlines 60k to 70k is the price for one way, but that is worse value so that is not what i am doing.
Didn’t know paying personal income taxes was a business expense . . . Terms of service of business cards generally require all Purchases to be business related
Well it is income tax generated by my business, which is an s corp, so business income passes through and tax is paid on your personal tax return. Personally i dont think its going to matter unless you want to use one of the protections on the card, like purchase protection, then they will check it is a genuine business expense
I just got my Amex gold! So happy!

One of your best videos so far . I like the direction you've taken the channel .
I just noticed the fat stock of prop cash $100 bills on your desk at 3:00 😂🤑😂🤑 Now that’s some real attention to detail by Ben 💯
This is awesome dude! 🙌🏽
Just did the same with my new AMX gold.
Fresh information Ben! I love it!

Both, my business is a pass through so it passes through to your personal tax return
@@TheCreditShifu Thanks for the info. I have a C corp and I called the IRS but the representative couldn't give me directions on where to make my payment today.
Their agents are pretty useless. But your CPA should know, normally the address to send payment to is written on the cover page of your tax returns
I just did the same (But not $31K) 😄✌️
Amex Biz Gold Card for me.
But may consider Hilton/Hyatt cards for future payments for those free nights ✈️
Thank you for blessing me with this comment

Love this! Any thoughts on doing this with the Venture X Business 150k points bonus and 2x?

2 points per dollar is too low in my opinion. So yeah hilton surpass card for the free night or a welcome bonus on a new card
Someone do the math.....if he's paying $31K in taxes how much income did he report?
A lot lol
Over 200k

Aren't you a massive audit risk owing that much? My tax attorney would flip if I ever owed the feds that much.

If you pay your taxes for a video, can you write off your the taxes u pay as business expense since it was for a video? LOOL graham would
Write off the fee for using the credit card lol
can you pay on your credit card up to the bonus amount say 10k then pay the rest via check to minimize paying the ~1.8% tax cc fee?
Yes
Hey Ben! How much % do recommend save for taxes? Self employed of course… Thank You.
Whats your income (approx)? What is your company structure ( sole, LLC, s-corp)? Are you married filing jointly? How many kids do you have?
U said ur business in jersey?
What part? I'm guessing Hudson County?

Is Plastiq only for business purposes, or can I use it for Personal Taxes?
You can use for personal too

Can you please explain more about how to acquire fee free dollars? Or is it simply unrealistic for the average person?
It's unrealistic because you need a lot of referrals
Well, I know what I'm doing next year.
Will this cause unwanted expenses in fees for the tax office though?
No because you paid the fees

Can you only use 2 cards to pay your taxes ?

Could one split the one tax to multiple cards to cover multiple sign up bonuses ?
Yes, some people prefer to pay over time so in that aspect, you should be able to fulfill multiple welcome bonuses!
Cool
Can you explain how you were able to get the merchant fees ($600) covered on your transaction?
