You do a good job. But please remember to discuss that length of time it took for the backtest to complete and do comparisons in different timeframes. You’re pumping out content but it could be so much better w more detail
Comparisons in different timeframes would be great but it would be better if he builds a community around him to do that and share it as part of a collective. The other suggestion doesn't seem useful to me.
@@joythought if two strats generate 100% return but one takes two weeks and the other 2 months then the shorter is better. And no the community should not be doing that. The onus is on the educator as all generated trust resides with him. I’m not goi g to trust a rando comm member to do a correct backtest on his strat.
I’m not quite sure that you are testing this indicator properly. You make an entry on the first gray bar. But in real life trading you would not know if this bar is green or gray before the whole candle is done. Therefore you would not be able to make an entry as you do. The entry would be on the second gray (or green, you don’t know yet) bar. So the result may be way different.
The results are inflated to a greater extent since it is tested in crude oil and crude is just in bull run. The strategy will give far less profit on any other instrument.
Or use the other version of this indicator and mess with the settings, the other one listed just below is the CM_williams_vix_fix-redgreen. It attempts to find tops as well. Not just bottoms/pullbacks

Create settings for a daily chart so you only have to check at open or close. And learn more cuz this was an obvious answer to your question.
