Thank you for watching! It seems that The Wave in Coventry also has a trap door slide, so maybe we’ll have to head there and check it out at some point!
Yes I have been The Wave before it is good.
Yep i've been to The Wave too! Personally I think Waterworld is bigger and better than The Wave but The Wave only opened last year so I can assume they may expand on it maybe? (Also Waterword is a further distance from me. The slides were decent, my fav was (cant remember the name) the one with the jets that push you up since the slide starts with a steep drop. Would defo check it out but if your after theming, i'm afraid The Wave might not be for you as it was quite bland when i went early this year unless they touched on it since then. Great Vid!
@@red_villian4126 I agree Waterworld is definitely better!
I think it’s fair to say that the UK has a lack of decent water parks, mainly due to our colder climate limiting the need to have most slides indoors.
i have been to the wave, but the trapdoor slide was closed!
This is so nostalgic. I always remember coming here in middle school every Christmas 😂
We were so fortunate having this in our back garden pretty much.
I took 3 generations of our families kids here including my own.
Love this guys energy and enthusiasm, its contagious. Wish there was an adults only evening here as I don't have kids and would love to go 😂
Thank you!
I dont think you need children to be able to go in
@@spydercorpsefilms amazing! Will have to check it out haha
@@Anna-pu7hxyou can go in as an adult.
@@jessicawatson7360 nice! Thank you, I'll have to go sometime
Haven't been here for about 10 years myself, still looks awesome and those new slides are fantastic. Great to see you beating @lifthillsandthrills in the slide race! 😆
It was great fun!
That's one of the best water parks in the UK for sure! Loved the trapdoor slide!
It sure is!
The vlogs 🎉
It's freezing water and far too many people allowed to enter it's is not the best water park in the uk 😂😂😂😂
@@mw5461 shush
The guy who said that it’s not the best water park in the world shut you have no clue what you’re talking about
for the space bowl, it’s not the drop in general for me, it’s the way you could fall in the pool backwards 😂😭
Thank you for taking us on a virtual tour of this really amazing indoor water park with all of the lovely heavily tropical 🌴🏝 pirate animal 🐠 theming including the lovely POV on ride your so brave riding the thunder rides they looks really amazing with mini pockets of airtime your such a great blogger Shawn, I really appreciate the efforts time dedication thoughts all of your heart and soul that goes into these vlogs and especially a special mention I’m greatful for your response to our complimentary messages with funny humour we send to you to let you know how much your thought about and how much we’re supporting you every step of the way Take Care Shawn much friendly love and hugs 🤗 stay safe
Thanks for watching!
Loved this video I went years ago with my dad, sister, neice and nephew and it was amazing it was the best waterpark we've ever been to and we've been meaning to go back ever since
The video has been out for 9 minutes mate
I love these videos .When younger I was barely comfortable going to swimming pools. It's only gotten worse. But this reminds me of when I liked it.
There's a Spacebowl at Splashdown in Poole Dorset. The slide attendant asks all the guests the dreaded question, "Can you swim?" as they're about to ride it 😄
Ive been there and they never asked that
In the late 80's there was a place I used to go to called The Magnum Centre in Irvine (its been knocked down now). In the swimming pool they had 2 flumes & a spacebowl where you just dropped into the deep water through the middle of it. I think it was maybe one of the first spacebowls in the UK at that time.
I worked as a lifeguard at the Magnum. Some of the best days of my life. Had to save a few people from the spacebowl in my time there. Laterally they had the red and blue flume(red was a bit faster if I remember), the spacebowl and the family slide. They also had a small outdoor pool. The ice rink was also good in its day.
This looks great! I love being in the water and swimming. I think that I could even manage some of the slower slides. There looks to be so many different aspects to the place. Great vlog as always Shawn!
If it helps I have fibromyalgia and managed it. There's loads of places to sit down and slow and fast modes. It's disability friendly and its exciting for teenagers.
Been many times here but not in recent years. Love that you have 3 top UK Waterparks within 2 hours of each other....I.e. Alton Towers, Stoke and Blackpool. I think they are all under £20's entry, which is enticing compared to the expensive ones abroad but pay your money and take your choice. Have fun.
3 best locations in Britain 😉 live in one, live near one, and ❤ the other one!
Wow some great memories watching this! Live around 40 mins away and haven't been in around 10 years, but you are right it does look great now with the recolour and new slides. I remember when I was around 7 I ran into one of the poles holding up the slide next to the wave pool and woke up in hospital, that's the memory that I will always remember from this place haha.
Thanks for sharing!
I visited today, didn’t think I’d like the trapdoor but it was really fun and surprisingly smooth! It was a great day
Hi by any, chance do you know what the temperature of the water was? I love water parks but I hate cold water 😂
@user-po6uq5yw3i no idea sorry, might say online though. I remember it being pretty warm in the pools but pretty cold in the slides
I came here back in 2019 after I last went to Alton Towers. Was an amazing experience and loved it there. Really want to go back there now that they've opened more slides! This could actually be a cool new series where you visit different water parks!
I came here back in 2019 after I last went to Alton Towers was an amazing experience and loved it really want to go back there now that they opened more slides 🛝 this summer actually be cool 😎 serious where you visit different water parks again please let you know how to get there and l have a booking a ticket or tour for a flight ✈️ anywhere I am in Canada 🇨🇦 and Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and china 🇨🇳 and Las Vegas my friend lives here
This video has been nice to watch. Haven’t been there since the 90’s. (I remember it before nucleus was built). Nice too see what’s happened to it
You absolutely flew down that slide... a deserved race winner! Great to see you bud
It was great to see you!
Lol..."seemed more thrilling when younger" (said by Shawn). Yes, that can be said for many things Shawn !!! Lol it just means you are getting experienced, some say, seen it, done it... but then comes new innovation, which intrigues.
Looks awesome, you should come down to Splashdown Quaywest in Paignton next year; there’s some awesome slides there and it’s the UK’s biggest outdoor waterpark
Thanks for your suggestion!
Great vlog, I always love it when you vlog from water parks. SO few channels do it and I really appreciate it when you do. 😊
Thank you!
Haven’t been here since I was about 10 years old or so, 20 years ago! Had to watch and see what it’s like nowadays!
Shawn: I won’t go on that spacebowl!
Every TPW viewer: Damnit!
We all just wanted to see you tumble out that spacebowl in a POV. 😂
Yep, I was sad he didn't do it. 🤣
God I did that last week and I fell in backwards head first
That Style of space owl is awful there is one at splashdown in poole which has speakers in the space bowl and lights which disoriented me then to fall out into the massive tank!
I hate them! Dropping into a huge tank of water isn’t my idea of fun!
Wish I had as much positive vibes as this lad. Got so much energy and enthusiasm it's really great to see. I've got about as much motivation as a sloth at a snail party! But hey ho, top lad. Doing fantastic. I use to DJ a lot in Stoke-on-Trent back in the 90's. Never been to this place or ever known about it. Fair play to you!
Thank you!
Kinetic?
@@mattjohnson3954 that's right. Going back some year's now.
@@djmastergroove946 I remember you mate, loved that club:)
Big respect @@mattjohnson3954 great times my friend! Had some great night's from what I can remember 😋
Well done Sean. I will book this for my family next week. Great to see differnt places in the UK worth going to for day trips. I have got to say though there is another trap door slide which look identical at The Wave Coventry.
It looks much improved from what I saw when I last went. Well done on another great vlog!!
It was a great day!
Woah i just went here yesterday!!! One of my favourite is Thunderbolt, I love the vertical drop
Great vlog-looks a really fun place! I love water slides.I enjoy your enthusiasm and positivity 😀
Thank you!
Incredible 😘 water slides it's so much fun thanks for taking us ❤️💚
i’ve been there!!
My fav slide is cyclone btw!!!
Edit:dam i had the same colour wrist band as you😂
Edit 2:oh and the kid slides also glow a bit!!
When its sunny mostly all of the slides will be glowing
13:06 God, you're brave - I'm terrified of those trapdoor slides! 😅 You're really spoilt for choice with waterparks up your way - this, Alton Towers and Sandcastle in Blackpool not far!
I don’t enjoy them either! However this wasn’t too bad!
I love waterpark Shawn more than theme parks
Last 2 times we have been, the water has been green.
Thank you shaun for visiting my local and favorite water park!
I like how with removing the vines that like you said hung around the middle slide tower - now lets in more natural light from the iconic glass pyramid roof which makes it feel a lot brighter and open
It does indeed!
I am a little scared of water slides just because i never know exactly when the water will be surrounding me lol ...but thanks ...love this video 💕
8:05 There is another at the wave in Coventry and I'm pretty sure there is more!
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
You should go to the wave in Coventry. It also had a trapdoor slide and is my personal fav in the uk
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
This video was a throwback. I went here at school. I recognised it as soon as you got inside
I am going Alton Towers today with my daughter and we have watched his videos of it over and over and over again to learn all the tips on what to do
Have a fantastic day!
Used to go all the time as a kid but not been since about 2005 (even though it's only 30 miles up the road). Looks even better with Tornado Alley
Im scared of wavepools..it's those big hole grates on the back wall of the deep end . I fear the machine will suck me in and kill me some how. However this one's roped off so not so bad
Love this video. Your videos are so good. You are definitely my favourite RUclipsr.
Thank you!
In I have school in 2023 I have waterworld excursion but the teacher said "unfortunately the waterworld is cancelled" because of the severe weather 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I love master blaster at sandcastle in Blackpool
Looks like loads of fun Shaun. Next time take Charlotte as well. xx
Shaun: rides terrible painful coasters like Hero every time.
Also Shaun: refuses to do a kids waterslide ever again.
😉
Good fun, those space bowl slides.
I really don’t like them!
I was there recently and personally, my top 3 slides were actually thunderbolt, hurricane and twister!! Although, just like you, I avoided the space bowl
Not been for yonks! Even though live 15 mins away 🙄 Cheers for this🙂 Shawn really should be an ambassador for Staffordshire! Brilliant as usual 😁
Thank you!
Thunderbolt isn’t the only trapdoor slide in the UK there is one in the wave in coventry
There is indeed. I didn’t realise at the time!
This was a win win for you and the park. Nice water park.
I think the slides were blue years ago? (And I mean YEARS). When I went last the slide that was “new” for the time was the coaster where you need a rubber ring/double ring, always used to seriously push your shorts down at the back when you went over the water speed up segments. Always a BIG que too.
They were indeed!
Long time since I’ve been there….about 2003 when I was at uni in Alsager. Can’t even remember what slides they had way back then. Remember the rapids and multi slide.
thanks so much for a waterpark vlog!
I’m going centre parcs with a mate in 2 weeks so iv been watching all your water park blogs coz I’m so exited for the subtropical paradise . Of course have watched both your centre parcs vlogs , twice over 🤣😳 great stuff .
Last time I went here was when I was a little girl and still lived in stoke so about 32 years ago!!! The biggest thing I remember is the pirate ship so there's an indication of my age at the time! Xxx
Actually a correction on the uks only drop slide, don’t know which is more recent but over here in the forgotten Northern Ireland, we have in the andersonstown leisure centre we have a drop slide, therefor making it the second drop slide in the uk. Also a couple other things we have over here, pickie fun park (I might spell that wrong) a mini golf and amusement park, Lisburn leisureplex an indoor water park, and Barry’s (now changed to curry’s… long story) which has a deep history and was the owner of the first pinfari coaster in the uk, also at Halloween we a scare maze style thing in the Crumlin road jail, one of the last surviving Victorian prisons. Only (roughly) a 2 hour drive from Dublin which has Tayto park… couple things over here you can do, also it’s cheap to travel to, mainly due to the fact we don’t have many events over here
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide as with any council (more of a private council actually from all over the uk) the websites aren’t easy to navigate, warning you before you find out
I really need to go to this water park, I’ll have to check it out when I’m at Alton Towers
Fun fact: Thunderbolt isn’t the only/first trap door slide in the UK there is one in Coventry the wave water park which I went on two years ago
When I went here last September the water was green. Glad to see it's gotten a bit better lol. The slides were really fun though, I especially loved that one that's really fast at the beginning.
Made me so exited I’m going here on Saturday,I hope it’s as good as it is here! Mechanical waves!
When you mentioned the master blaster I immediately thought of the water slide also called the master blaster at splash landings at Alton towers which in my opinion is the best water park I have ever been to although I will say the thunderbolt ride looks like a lot of fun
Great video it was giving me Butlins Minehead vibes
Keep on sliding for the water parks . And for theme parks keep on riding like you say at the end of your video love all your videos keep up the great work
Thank you!
Water world is the best
Blackole’ is my favourite coaster at this water park.
Wow this place looks amazing , has been about ten years since i was there last ,ten years ago it was a bit dirty and run down but now looks fantastic ,Shawn you have to ride the big bowl one ,I did it ten years ago and from memory it's not that bad ,when you were a kid it would have thrown you out ,however when i went on it i had to find the exit and throw myself out which is great fun and you are in control rather than not seen where you are going and then being thrown out ,Would be great to see a pov of that and i promise you it's not that bad , love this water park and great to see it with your video , new rides look amazing , Thanks
alos it isnt the only trapdoor slide in england there is one at the wave covernty
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
This is the only water park I go I love the rainbow one when it spins in the. Floatie😊
Great video. So pleased you filmed this... Been looking for a fun water park for ages!!
It was great fun!
I have wanted to go here for a while, have been on a few of the cyclones, mainly the ones at the Centre Parcs resorts.
I have actually been to this waterpark before but it was a very long time ago.
I went there as part of a school trip when i was about 13 years old.
I'm 43 years old now.
So yes it was about 30 years ago, so i barely remember it, but it was definitely here.
It looks pretty good though.
Thanks for sharing!
Spotted at 5:44 excellent!
Great to see you having a good time Shawn we had a blast too.. you didn’t miss much with space bowl tbh haha
It’s was a great evening!
Noice that water park looks awesome! Btw what’s better Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach? In your opinion
Alton towers in my opinion
@@dubedubee good choice
They all have reasons to go different to each other. A'T' has a great outdoor area, a large Water bucket and also allows Water pistol guns in certain areas. Stoke has a great selection of slides. Blackpool also has a large number of slides plus is just over the road from the fair Pleasure beach.
Both parks are awesome!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide oh you like them both the same
Loved the aqua disco on a Friday night growing up
*** I live in Stoke and I strongly recommend being carful when going water world make sure to lock car ect it’s common got peoples cars to have stuff go missing and don’t go on bikes my mates and I went on bikes and watched them get stolen from the subway inside :( watched them all get taken right infront of us as soon as we got outside they were gone.
Sorry to hear that
Wow this takes me back. Haven’t been here in about 20 years! I might need to give it a visit again!
Makes me laugh how you'd probably ride Steely V all day long....but won't go on the fish bowl! 😆
I hate them!
Hi Shawn,
The Wave in Coventry has a trap door slide that also opened in 2019. Great video!
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
That water park looks quite good with the theming and different types of slides.
I'd forgotten about twister but I'm pretty sure that I've been on it. Not sure when it was introduced. As for the newer slides, they weren't there last time I went. I think the last time may have been 2011 but I hadn't been for about 7 years before that. I noticed that you are not a fan of the spacebowl. I liked that one. The rapids and the wave pool were always a lot of fun. Overall, I don't think the place looks that much different apart from the new additions and the change in colour scheme. With the trap door slide, I'm wondering if I would fit through the hole if it's designed to be for kids. I'm not fat, obese or anything like that but I am 6 ft 1 and 16 stone as well as being 35 years old so I did wonder about that because I would like to come here again in the future.
Great local promotion vlog, good job Shaun, I haven’t. Been for nearly 5 years, I think it’s time for a visit looks great fun
Great review. I went to Coral Reef World in April which was also renovated in 2019. The water rides were great. No trap door ride though.
A good tip if you cross your legs you don't get anywhere near as much spray in your face :) great vlog as always
Wow 10 years Shaun very nice it looks better than sandcastle in Blackpool and a lazy river and big slides and rapids
Thanks for watching!
I'm moving back yo Stoke soon and I'm looking forward to going here on a week day when hhe kids are at school. At 51 I have little patience gor them.
I do really enjoy vlogs like these. Its a nice change of pace.
Goodluck if you ever do Tikibad in Duinrell
Thank you!
I love the bowl slides as you don’t know when you gonna drop
I was here just a few days ago! It's awesome and I managed to get on everything in 6 hours which was great!
Edit: I actually thought that the super flume was the best of the 3 up on "the treehouse", it went quite fast for me ( I also love the space bowl and when the water goes in your face and I rode thunderbolt 5 times 😂)
Ur brave
I’m glad you had a good time!
I think you need to start your live stream it has been 5 years
@@ThemeParkWorldwide hiiii
I haven’t been here in about 25 years , I want to go back , the new slides good really good 👍🏻
As a Stokie its great you have done this with it having so much bad press lately 👍i havent been since i was a kid 😆
Really enjoyed my visit!
Amazing video!
Would like to see more waterpark video's :D
Loved this video
I went there a few months ago and stayed in a stoke hotel.I don’t really like it because the rapids,I went in and was elbowed in the nose and bled.still quite good
Sorry to hear that
My visits to WW were never great. Always really dirty especially the changing rooms. Totally put me off going. Then the queues to rides when you stand there waiting and get so cold. Disney water parks in Orlando are completley different. Loved them so much.
Disney water parks are on a completely different level 😍
This one hit the algorithms well 👏🏻
I recommend heading down to The Wave in Coventry as they have some great slides and a nice lazy river. 👍🏻
The wave in Coventry has a drop slide there's lots slides another really good centre to visit 👍
I didn’t realise that! May have to go and check that out at some point!
Have a great summer Charlotte and the one and only Shawn love ur content keep up the good work
Thank you!
There should be a Waterpark Worldwide
