I don't think in the history of sports there has ever been a fanbase that left a winning game (let alone a blowout) feeling this shitty. i just hope his recovery is fantastic bc he genuinely loves to play the game, and is damn good at it.
Everything I’m reading leans towards him making a complete recovery. He’s fortunate that there wasn’t any weight on the leg and no one fell on it after it broke. The most serious complications from this kind of injury happen when the surrounding tissue is damaged by sharp bone fragments. Cut arteries, damaged nerves or infection if it’s a compound fracture. It seems like he was able to avoid the worst of this.
He isn’t coming back anytime soon though. Training camp 2025 is what I’m guessing.

That play where Jamo scored was a purpose designed play used because the defense was lazy coming to the line and getting set. Notice the entire Lions line got down and set before Ragnow settled, set down and quick snapped it. They noticed the defense were slow to set and caught them off guard.
As a Lion's fan, I enjoyed this fellas. It sucks missing out on your best edge rusher and half your defense though. Good luck going forward.

Now Jerry has hijacked the love of my life and made it an acquaintance. I want to tell these guys to stop caring but I know they can't - not that young. But I do want them to take their wrath out on Jerry any way they can. While he's negotiating Victoria's Secrets stadium leases real GM's are scouting tight ends at Drexel. You guys should hope and pray and push for Charlotte Jones, Jerry's daughter to take over when he's gone. She's highly respected around the league and will let real football people handle football. If not the organization is doomed to Stephen and Spaulding Jones for decades.

I broke my left leg in the exact same place back in 2017. Walking will never be the same for me and running is difficult and I’m prone to falling. Nasty injury.
Muscle atrophy is probably the most lingering effect of a fracture. At least it was for me. I once broke my lower arm as a kid, and that arm was weaker than the other for the rest of my youth just because it had spent two months in a cast once. When I was in the army about ten years after the injury is the first time I thought it had caught up.

Cowboy tears are so welcome! I watched as the Cowboys players waved goodbye to the Lions from the sideline after that BS officiating last year. I don't think Dan was rubbing it in through the score. He put in the backups. The tackle reporting on a last play kneeldown was a bit of a middle finger for it though (but harmless). The trick plays? What else are they going to do? Every normal run and pass play scored, you can't go into victory formation half way through the third quarter (though I would have enjoyed that too!)
