Thank you for the video! Short and to the point. Great tips on some things I was thinking about. Sorry just doing a lot of research to make sure I get what I need but, will the 40W engrave on materials without purchasing the 2W? Also how is it with acrylic? Thanks again for the video and your time!
@@michelledawson6804 yeah, the 2W is mostly for metals since the 40W diode is on a different wave length it won't engrave alot of metals. Acrylic is a little difficult because each color cuts differently but it does cut and engrave acrylic. My wife cuts acrylic pretty often but you would have to figure out specific settings and write them down after doing some testing
@@michelledawson6804 Also, no problem I wanted a video like this that kinda walked through the different components so I could see them prior to buying but the options were kinda limited
The laser module impacts price way more than some of the accessories and You had pretty much nothing to say on that. Would the 20W module still cut thicked pieces in 2 passes and what does a cut made in 2 or three passes look like compared to a single pass cut? Is there more charring, does it leave the edge not square to the surface? If the only reason to get the 40W is to cut thicker wood, then it’s probably the most important choice.
@@amconsole the 40W can increase the speed for your cuts and the depth. The concern I think you should have with the charring isnt a big deal if you have the air assist. The air assist helps with reducing the burn marks and it causes deeper cuts for both laser modules. Pricing wasn't a concern when doing this video because I mostly wanted to inform the viewers about the parts available.
Thank you!! This is exactly the content I’ve been searching for to help me decide between the S1 and P2.
@@kellimonnheimer7504 No problem, I wish I knew this stuff before it. I wouldve likely gotten the P2 for the workspace

Thank you! the P2 might be a better option instead of the bundle in the future since the conveyor is not going to fit full boards!

I need the P2 cause I use acrylics
@@glensmith-or1bp we are able to cut acrylics with the S1 but the P2 would probably be much better for it
