Can't wait for you to see this season. Your reactions should have like 50x the views they do because your reactions and analysis are always on point and you are so emotionally in touch with the characters!
The Drunkard is already an enforcer. He was passed out in an enforcer uniform when Vi woke him up. He just drank himself silly after pulling bodies out of the mess of Jinx's attack.
"Like a squirrel with arthritis" 😂😂 Not sure anyone else had this take on that scene. On a serious note, that scene had more intimate moments than most sex scenes in Hollywood movies! ❤❤
Everything about Caitlyn is in her eye animation. Its how she expresses herself, and they put so much time and effort into it's insane. Its sometimes the only way to tell how she is feeling as she is so closed off compared to S1. Its really worth the time to over analyse just that alone! Its an absolute masterclass of animation, even down to the slightest dialtion of a pupil. This is especially true when it comes to her relationship with Vi and compared to others.
I love the symbolism in the hug, how Caitlyn is taller than Vi (Caitlyn is 6' tall and Vi is 5' 7") but in that moment she looks small. Also I'm a sucker for gentle cheek caresses.
I love how your reaction videos have slowly evolved from calm, measured analysis to this level of low key hysteria as you've become more and more invested in the show 😂 The way they animated Cait's face after the memorial attack reminded me a lot of Jinx in season 1. Both spiraling and becoming more and more unhinged with their trauma and anger. I had a blast watching season 2 and I hope you do too! Enjoy the ride!
So glad to see you! I’ve been waiting for this! First off, spot on about the intro symbolism! Every episode sneaks in a little "hint" in the intro that foreshadows the arc - just a few frames that change each time. If you get the chance, it’d be so cool to see you try catching those hints! Second, I think I speak for everyone when I say we don’t mind longer videos. Your reactions and analysis are such a breath of fresh air, honestly, the longer, the better! Third, your first impressions of the new characters are solid. Definitely keep an eye on them, everyone gets an arc in Season 2, and whether they’re good or bad is for you to decide as things play out. And I love that you’re into CaitVi (same here, it’s my favorite ship!). Your take on their dynamic is so refreshing and spot on. Not many channels give them the attention they deserve, so it’s awesome to see you rooting for them. :) Hope your channel keeps growing... you deserve way more viewers with how amazing your content is!
1. Yeah the intro is spot-on fantastic! 2. Longer videos are a go... got it 👌 3. New characters - yep there's some weird feelings I have about them tbh I love Cait and Vi! They're amazing, I'll definitely be focussing on them alot :)
2 Things. 1: I can only speak for myself, but I’m really into the longer videos. I enjoy your input plus I can see you really mean it. Makes it an very enjoyable watch. If I wanted fast food reactions I go somewhere else. 2. I really enjoy how you engage with the romantic parts of the story. Reminds me a lot of NotSoAverageFangirl aka Elijah. I don’t mean that negative, I need more channels where I feel at home when queer themes are on the screen. Sorry for the wall of text, much love ❤
1. Loving the longer vids! Cool ok, good to know, I'll keep em coming! 2. Love the romantic parts! Me too! They're so well done, it's hard not to engage well with those sections. Thank you for the kind words 🥰
In Caitlyn's defense, she's been massively traumatized over first season, what with the terror of the underground, being blown up several times, knocked unconscious, tortured, watching the damn rocket hit the council chambers, etc. Couple that with a pitbull single-mindedness and the sort of privilege that gives her very durable mental armor to go to extremes and she makes perfect sense. Too many people are so determined to misunderstand her and it's infuriating. She's every bit as gray and complicated as everyone else in this amazing group of characters!
Oh I agree! I love this character! Just when I say she's making me uneasy, it's cause her decisions are more inflated than they used to be! But I love her in terms of the story. I can see how others have just chose to hate on her as a character!
I never noticed the Shakespeare refrences within the intro, you just made me love the intro so much more. Also Caitlyn had quite pronounced biseps in season 1, during the scene in episode 4 where Jayce goes to see her after the explosion you can see them quite well. I know this because I spent quite a while examining the scene I am not ashamed to admit it 😅
I never really watch reaction channels, but your reactions are so insightful and care so much about the characters, I really look forward to each ep you post!!
ive watched so many arcane reactions but youre my fav i love the appreciation of all the details, cant wait for the rest of s2 :D stay strong and keep tissues near
19:32 Caits' arms were always built. Go back and check out the scene in 1x04 when Jayce visits her in her room. Never apologise for repeatedly going back over specific moments in the name of science! Such scientific inquiry is important and I fully support your rigorous methodology.
I literally spat out my drink at 54:40. As everyone knows it’s imperative for snipers to have 2 (!) gloveless trigger fingers, plus the nails have to be cut properly 😊
About the "Do you have any idea how that feels", yes Caitlin knows that but her asking Vi to put on a badge would be like Vi asking her to join up with Jinx.
The two-headed wolf at the end is called a Murk Wolf and is a species native to the Freljord. Singed's burn mark is quite fresh, so this scene is happening 3-4 weeks after the events of S1ep3. I'm specific with the time because it takes roughly 3 weeks to travel from Piltover to the Freljord by boat. So it's a flashback qnd that explains how is he so far away. (The Freljord is sth like Scandinavia or Siberia of this universe)
It's nice that you noticed many details of the show, such as particular sounds, colors, backgrounds; enhances the work of the artists behind this masterpiece even more. That's why I like to see long reactions videos, not only to know the opinion on what happens, but also to appreciate the stunning visuals of this show. I look forward for the next episode! This is my favourite tv series, of all time, it never bores me, I could see it every day and I would still notice something new.
you're so funny to watch 😹😹 we went from: 1x01 16 minute reaction, "a friend said it was good so i guess ill watch it 🤷♀" to: 2x01 1 hour, 13:25 *opens an envelope* "ooooooaahhh..." i'm absolutely ready for that 5 hours director's cut by the end of the season 😏🍿🥤
21:35 I think it's the perfect response from Vi. Caitlyn is asking her to join the enforcers, when she knows they killed her parents. It's like someone asking Cait to join forces with Jinx. It highlights, that in that moment it wasn't the right call to ask her and expect her to just say yes.
cait and vi got you giving anatomy lessons, bless 😭 got me cackling every 15 seconds the whole video 😂 strap in for this season, this arcane shit goes scarmbled eggs on your brain
First of all... Hour long reaction? You spoil us. You had a lot of fantastic catches and as always great analysis. Also that look at the camera when you spotted the two fingers of Caitlyn's gloves took me out lol I would say I disagree about Cait having the shot, though. She absolutely did, but she didn't take it because Vi begged her not to which I think makes it all the more tragic. And great catch with noticing something is off with Caitlyn. Her and Jinx are parallels in a lot of ways, both in superficial ways like guns and the colour blue, but also in more important aspects like their love for Vi... and their more impulsive anger. I'm so glad you watched Bridging the Rift before going into season 2 because you're noticing so many of the little things that go unnoticed to most people. Was an absolute treat to watch. Wish I could rewatch it all with new eyes but seeing others watch it all for the first time and just getting so into it allows me to do it again vicariously lol Oh and fun fact, that scene of Cassandra's funeral was all hand done in charcoal. This show is an absolute labour of love.
They'll be a lot of hour-long reactions, maybe even longer lol! "Her and Jinx are parallels in a lot of ways" Absolutely! Thank you so much haha! That was all hand drawn! No way? Really!
Loving your reactions so far. Just expect to get your heart both get crushed and soar with what's going to happen. The bigger the smile, the sharper the knife.
Your reactions really are the best, I'm thoroughly enjoying it and reacting along with you 😂 I might look like a crazy person but this show is absolutely worth going insane over 😭 So glad to see your channel grow as well!
14 minutes and you are already in agony 😅haha, this is so pleasant to watch (I mean your wonderful reactions and comments, not your agony 😋) I've already watched all your videos from season 1 and I enjoyed them very very much, you've got me binge-watching your reactions, these are that good! 🤩
You're hyperventilating even though you just watched Season 1 - imagine how wired we were waiting two years 😀 Also your instincts are really good - you're the only reactor who noticed the person behind the mask was Renni. If you're sensing something is off - go with your instincts Claudie. Your nervous energy and sense of humour is wonderful too! I was cracking up at Vi being like a 'squirrel with arthritis', 'Taylor Swift in wheelchair' and Viktor 'covered in jizz'😛 Your emotions are honest and raw, they never feel performative like some reactors do. Let's get the simping out of the way - your accent (London outskirts? Essex?) is god-tier, and I noticed little working-class inflections in there despite your evidently good education. As a working-class woman who went to university myself (in the late 80's), it resonates. Plus your jaw-dropping beauty with your hair pulled back and no makeup 💔 Okay, I'll stop there, but I think you're honestly the best Arcane reactor at this point and I've pretty much seen them all. Finally - keep the long reactions coming! We've already seen the show - we're here for *you* , to see your opinions and emotions and share our love for this show together!
Yeah I wasn't sure if it was Rennie tbh, but it was a bit of a stab in the dark! This episode did make me giggle a lot! Essex yeah haha! Good catch! Thank you 🥰 Keep the long reactions coming! Oki dokes!
32:45 another cool detail that im not sure if someone has pointed out to you yet. Vi's face tattoo can obviously be read as "Vi" but it is also the roman numeral 6, which is made from the symbols for 5 and 1. Vi's inmate number at stillwater was 516
Yes! I've been waiting for this! 19:34 No, Caitlyn's arms were always that defined. You can see it in Season 1 when Jayce brings her flowers while she's at home after Jinx's bombing diversion to steal the Hex-Tech gem during Progress Day. 55:29 "The Drunkard, Maddie and Lizard Boy" sounds like some sort of band name.
I was too buys looking at her legs in that scene lol! "The Drunkard, Maddie and Lizard Boy" sounds like some sort of band name." They got an album coming out in the new year called, "Arcpain" I think, it's indie rock 🤣
Jayce's montage simply show him making / reparing the hextech gear Cait and her team use. About the team, Cait gathered the enforcers who had her back during the memorial attack.
I read that the Kiramman name is matrilineal, passing from mother to daughter. I believe Cait's father, Tobias, took the Kiramman name when he married Cassandra.
Your thoughts on Caitlyn are very interesting. She does seem unstable, and I think there is a really great parallel with Vi's development. Both are headstrong, independent, and confident. However, Caitlyn is an only child. She is used to only thinking of herself in terms of actions/consequences, whereas Vi had it drummed into her by Vander that the consequences of her actions affected those around her. Vi sees the bigger picture and can empathise with Caitlyn at the same time, whereas Caitlyn is more focused on the loss she suffered.
"Vi sees the bigger picture and can empathise with Caitlyn at the same time, whereas Caitlyn is more focused on the loss she suffered." Yup great way of putting it, micro vs macro thinking
A reaction that's longer than the actual episode! I am so hyped for you experience this season. It is a hell of a ride. Also, no surprise to see you replaying all the CaitVi scenes over and over. Sorry to say, you've grown a bit predictable. When you're done with this, and you haven't already, you should watch Blue Eyed Samurai.
I am LOVING your reactions!! Currently binging all of them and it's bringing me so much joy, I love this show so much and it's so awesome to see you loving it too. @23:25 Also, it's hilarious that now that we know her name, we all blame Amanda for whatever happens with Vi and/or Cait 😂
I mean, I already know so I don’t wanna spoil anything. I just genuinely love your analysis and reaction to this, I think it’ll be interesting to see how you feel about things and then I could ask you a bunch of questions when you get there haha
17:14 "This season is gonna absolutely obliterate me, isn't it?" Yes, it will, I've finished it week ago, and I still torture myself crying over some of the scenes, some from this episode too, Cait trying to get one last glimpse of her mom before the casket closing, momentarily breaking down before collapsing in Vi's arms.... Season1 was perfect, but the emotional scenes in S2 hit MUCH harder, better prepare yourself to cry to sleep
Caitlyn used her grief and anger to formulate a plan to severely reduce Zaun's capacity to attack Piltover. It's not all hatred as many people seem to infer, imo.
Joining the gang for the wild riddddddee.😂😂😂 Gotta say the observation and instinct is at the peak. Whoat else could we ask for!! But there is something off, right? Well, I think the best questions to keep asking throughout this season are: Why do the characters choose to do so? What do the characters need the most at present? And how do they get there? It seems to me, there are a lot of subtexts or meta messages that kept untold during the whole season. More so than S1. Keep up the close attention to the music, light and micro expressions that affects all, but, nah, I think you have nailed it. Legit.🎉 P.S. yes, you can slow the speed down on Netflix by clicking on the bottom left of the screen, where the "speed" words are shown. Hope it helps.
This season also uses alot more of those almost music video style scenes to convey plot than the first season. Its definitely more of a pain for reactors but I would strongly recommend watching the scenes with music. I certainly dont want to impose more editing/work on you but its definitly worth watching the scenes with the audio cranked at least off camera. Love the video so far!
You're right about the frequency of bird references. I found it interesting in season one, episode 5, when Jinx is startled shortly after returning to the abandoned arcade. She immediately draws her pistol, hesitates realizing it's only a crow (or a raven?) but then shoots it anyway. A fab reaction/review for the first episode of season two!
Finally! Thanks for pointing out that Powder was really troublesome from the start. I get that she could've grown up mentally stable if they were in a peaceful environment, but she was showing signs even as a kid.
Very very very lucky guess, and just went by the shape of the person, being very tall and slim, and also the enforcer, with the tattoos on his neck. I just assumed it must have been someone we'd seen before!
As to who did or didn't create Jinx, Powder was already broken. First time I re-watched the series I noticed the Jinx scratches over the sounds of battle then the camera falls to Powder looking out through her fingers.
Come to think of it, arcane is mostly a series about broken promises and people trying freaking hard not to be their own worst enemies, and failing most of the time
Just a heads up: The intro has slight changes in every episode this season. Most of them are blink-and-you'll-miss-it things that just flash for a frame or two, but they're worth keeping an eye out for. I love how your reaction to her cutting the wax seal was "Oh, that's so satisfying," while my reaction was "No, you have a tea cup sitting RIGHT THERE! You're going to get pieces of wax into the tea!" Also, with Vi's "Do you have any idea how that feels," she's actually kind of right there, and Cait is wrong. Cait says she knows what it's like, but she doesn't understand the context. Yes, she watched Jinx kill her mother, but Vi's not asking her to team up with Jinx and Silco and start selling Shimmer. Cait is asking Vi to join the militaristic enforcers that gunned down her parents because they tried to fight for a better life. Their situations aren't comparable, but Cait doesn't recognize that. Also also, you're the first person I've seen who's clocked that that was Renny under the veil before she said a single word.
Intro- yep aware of that now, from ep 4 onwards I'll react to that! The wax bit - Funny enough lol, I did think that in the edit haha 'Do you have any idea how that feels' - good point. It's similar, but not the same! Renny - was a complete guess to be 100% honest. I surprised myself lol
Here some the whiplash, I love the longer content!! As for 2nd season, I feel like they made everyone eyes more 'alive' in a way that it's will punch you so haaaard 😭
Omg, your reaction made me laugh out loud at times, which was unexpected given the dramatic tone of the episode but it was great 😂 ! And I understand, too many emotions. Love how you are invested in the show now 🙂 I agree with you, Vi didn't create Jinx. Milo and Silco did. Yes, the Kirammans are a matrilineal family. Oh and the sound balance is perfect now 👌
You are really observant! Immediately catching the Macbeth reference, for example. As for something feeling off and unstable about Caitlyn the moment I got really worried was when she asked what animals would do something like that and the focus was on her fletched teeth. Very feral almost like a predator in the wilds growling at it's prey. As for the other members of the strike team, they are all enforcers who survived the memorial assault and who stood their ground together with Caitlyn to protect the Council even when the odds were against them. So they demonstrated they have the nerve to go up against the shimmer-cyborgs and whateverelse might lurk in the undercity. Probably why Caitlyn picked those three.
"Very feral almost like a predator in the wilds growling at it's prey." YUP same thought I had! Gotcha ok makes sense 👌 Thank you for the kind words btw
46:44 it's not just an awkward joke, and the teeth show because how awkward Vi feels, because she doesn't know how to start the conversation after a quarrel?
@@ClaudieTV also, what do you think of that hypothesis (not mine, just heard and i think it's interesting) that the funeral scene is Caitlyns POV and that's why only the violet and pink/red colors are shown?
@@atomka5274 Not sure, but it shows her in purple, with the purple elephant orchards too. and Vi with a pink flower, and pink outfit/hair. Polarities of each other perhaps
I'm so heartbroken for Powder. They didn't have parents for a long time, they did not get proper parenting, what Vander and later Silco did was not that. I your kids hanging around all day doing eff all, you are not doing a good job as a parent. And because of the lack of proper parenting, Powder looked at Vi as an example, except she was way younger than her sister, so there was no way she would measure up to her. That fact made her frustrated, it frustrated Vi, and everybody else in their group as well. That's an insane amount of pressure on a young child, trying to be good enough as a partner in crime to be able to be part of a group which otherwise consists of obviously older kids, and that without any parental guidance. Also it's borderline impossible. Powder being a problem did not come from her being clumsy, but from the fact that she was simply half, or maybe two third of the age of the other people around her.
I honestly don't think there's a huge difference emotionally between Caitlyn’s vendetta against Jinx and Vi's vendetta against Silco or even the enforcers before that. I think the difference is that Caitlyn has more power than Vi did to act on that feeling and to do so on a scale that could affect lots of people other than just herself and her target If Vi had Caitlyn's influence and privilege, she could very easily have gone down the same path Caitlyn is in the wake of her own tragedies. In fact, we got to see a little taste of that last season, when Vi got close enough to that kind of power to talk Jayce into helping her attack Silco's shimmer mine. Dozens of people died, including a child, and though it obviously weighed on her, Vi did accept it as a natural consequence and continued on her quest for revenge
@ClaudieTV It makes me wonder if Vi recognizes it. Sees her own anger and determination reflected back in those eyes. She said at the beginning of the episode that she wants to take care of Jinx herself and keep anyone else from getting hurt Maybe she signed up for this strike team for that reason, to prevent Cait from getting hurt or from reaching the point Vi did where she gets someone else hurt who she'll regret later I know writer Amanda Overton has said she loves giving her characters exactly what they want, only to find that it actually makes their lives worse in every way. Which is pretty much exactly what happened to Vi in the season 1 finale when Silco got taken out and she finally got a family reunion, but it almost couldn't have gone worse for her
I've seen a few reactions to this season, and a trend I've noticed is that people just seem to... forget Caitlyn's chatacterization from season 1?? They act like it didn't exist or something and they're just meeting this character for the first time when she's at her angriest, for understandable reasons, and make like 0 attempt to understand her character or her motivations beyond the most superficial level Let's not forget that despite being at this point the direct victim of at least 5 terrorist attacks against Piltover by someone from the undercity, literally just this episode she was still arguing against sending an army of enforcers down there because most of the people are innocent and she doesn't want them to get caught in the crossfire. Jinx is a danger to innocent people, and as Cait learned this episode, the gangs that worked for Silco are also a danger to innocent people. And Shimmer is most DEFINITELY a danger to innocent people, topside and bottom. She's angry, she wants revenge, but she also really wants to protect people That's the first lesson Caitlyn learned about being an enforcer from Grayson. They protect people. That's what they're shooting for. And the soft version of her that stood in that room with Jinx and didn't pull the trigger might not be strong enough to actually protect anyone
caitlyn being strong the entire intro until meeting Vi and completely collapsing into her arms :( allowing herself to be vulnerable cait was always jacked, she's a police officer drunkard is an enforcer aswell i would recommend letting the scenes playout completely first and then going back to dissect, so we can get your full reaction
I really appreciate your eye for detail. It's impeccable. I think Cait's arms have always been quite well defined and impressive. I'm reminded of S1E4 when Jayce offers her the desk job. ofc not as bulked up as Vi so perhaps you've noticed something there, not sure.
48:57 it’s the privilege. Caitlyn gets away with being impulsive and reckless because she’s privileged. Even Marcus commented on it in season 1: “She’s a Kirraman, she does what she wants, I can’t control her.”
I've been loving your reactions so far. Just wanted to comment this in case it hasn't been said before: 21:35 To be fair, It's not the same. Caitlyn wasn't oppressed all her life up till the point where her people felt the only possible way to freedom was waging war against their (uniformed, signified by that badge) oppressors, tragically losing both her parents in the process and then being asked by the girl you're into to wear that same badge, which symbolizes generational oppression, is a completely different scenario than just your mother being killed by one deranged individual. Yes, the wound of Caitlyn's mothers' death is still new and fresh, but her "I do [understand]" isn't a complete correct response either. Just wanted to share my own opinion! Glad you're loving the show and judging by the playlist, you're (almost) done with it! Can't wait what Riot comes up with next!
Caitlyn understands how it's like to lose a parent now, yes. But asking Vi to join with the organisation responsible for the death of her parents is not at all the same thing. Vi was right in calling that out imo. Edit: I would argue Caitlyn comes from a place of immense privilege. She's never encountered the kind of hardship that Vi gone through until now. So yeah she's really not taking the recent events well. Her world has basically been turned upside down. I would say she's more headstrong than impulsive. She's always been determined to go her own way, because she knows she's had a privileged life. It's why she asked Grayson if her parents payed her to let her win the shooting competition. But despite all that, she's never experienced true traumatic hardship until now, so she's not dealing with it well. She's fundamentally a good person, but she's overwhelmed with grief at this point. As always, really enjoying your reactions :) Also interesting art tidbit. The funeral sequence was drawn in charcoal, with Vi and Caitlyn being the exception. "Like a squirrel with arthritis" XD that was a good one
you're so sus about maddie i love it. i think the thing that immediately set me on edge about maddie was that she's a watercolor copy of vi. outgoing, short red hair with freckles, stocky, grey eyes. and her design could have been anything, she could have been another type of vastaya like steb ( the fish/lizard man) but she's this weird, diluted, topside version of vi. so why?
Its the formal uniform worn topside by female enforcers. Sort of a dress uniform like caitlyn wore in season 1 just minus the big hat. The other female enforcer in episode 4 killed by jinxs explosion wore the same. Ceremonial uniform , not for actual enforcer raids in the under city when they wear pants. I believe anyway. 🙂
58:25 trust the process. I know there’s a lot to digest, and the rest of the season will be like this too. Lots to digest and you will not always be given answers immediately. But if you trust the process and just let the story flow, it’ll all come together in the end.
13:56 Technically, she did have the shot. And sure, she wouldn't have killed Jinx back then anyway, but she still drives herself crazy with the "what ifs" 15:58 This is also the first time we see Caitlyn crying over her mother's death 😪 19:34 If you go back to episode 4 in season 1, when Jayce visits Caitlyn after Jinx's attack, you can actually see that her arms are more beefy than people would expect lol. Makes sense, considering she's a sniper 29:19 yep! I know that some people are angry that Caitlyn was even having these thoughts, but it's pretty much a natural survival instinct. It's much more important that she recognizes the danger of having these thoughts and tries to fight them 48:25 I don't know if I would describe Caitlyn as impulsive. She is obsessed with chasing a lead to sometimes an unhealthy degree, but she usually takes calculated risks, although it puts her in danger more often than not because of her naivety. At the moment, she's unreveling because she was thrust into a position of power she never wanted while grieving, and the situation is escalating rapidly without any solution in sight. 49:30 I agree that Caitlyn is more emotionally closed than Vi, probably because she grew up in Pilltover's high society. Everything is a power game in that world. In season 1, she showed her affection through actions and not words, except for when she asked Vi: "What about us?" 54:00 This is basically Caitlyn using her power and influence to defy the council and somewhat deescalate the situation. She opposed the council's decision of a full-scale invasion ("innocents will be caught in the cross-fire"), so she created a small strike team instead of "sending all the enforcers after Jinx". The council also didn't want any Hextech used either, but the attack on the memorial proved it'd be impossible to dismantle Shimmer operations without it
Really interesting takes here! Especially this one -> She is obsessed with chasing a lead to sometimes an unhealthy degree, but she usually takes calculated risks... 👌
@ClaudieTV If you remember, in episode 8 last season Vi looks at the evidence board Caitlyn made and says: "You did all this yourself? Without even going down there? And I thought Powder could get obsessed" 👀 It's going to get worse before it gets better 🫡
"Like a squirrel with arthritis"
Hahaha.
🤣
Can't wait for you to see this season. Your reactions should have like 50x the views they do because your reactions and analysis are always on point and you are so emotionally in touch with the characters!
It will come, just keep commenting for the algorithm 😊
Best reaction in a while... can't wait for all the episodes....
@@jvm861 Agreed 😊 to much slop around, not her tho
It's so refreshing that someone acknowledges the details
Thank you so much! I really do appreciate that! 🥰
The way Caitlyn can't bring herself to cry around anyone but Vi 😭
Yup! So cute and sad at the same time!
The Drunkard is already an enforcer. He was passed out in an enforcer uniform when Vi woke him up. He just drank himself silly after pulling bodies out of the mess of Jinx's attack.
Ah oki doki, thank you for that detail!
"Like a squirrel with arthritis" 😂😂 Not sure anyone else had this take on that scene.
On a serious note, that scene had more intimate moments than most sex scenes in Hollywood movies! ❤❤

Please excuse me while I die laughing at your quips😂😂😂
SPOILER:
Funny coincidental parallel with that "mongoose" line that Vi uses later in the season.
🤣
I love your detailed, genuine, and emotional reactions to this. I've absolutely felt the same.
Thank you so much!
The two fingers missing on caitlyns gloves! lmao I love your reactions
😉🤣
I love the symbolism in the hug, how Caitlyn is taller than Vi (Caitlyn is 6' tall and Vi is 5' 7") but in that moment she looks small.
Also I'm a sucker for gentle cheek caresses.
Same here. Claudie can take as much time as she wants analyzing Caitlyn & Vi's interactions. I'm here for it.

Me too babe! Me too!
@@FullmetalNinja25 + VI still hugging with fists. She is only halfway there, to relax in someone's hug

And I love that you’re into CaitVi (same here, it’s my favorite ship!). Your take on their dynamic is so refreshing and spot on. Not many channels give them the attention they deserve, so it’s awesome to see you rooting for them. :)
Hope your channel keeps growing... you deserve way more viewers with how amazing your content is!
1. Yeah the intro is spot-on fantastic!
2. Longer videos are a go... got it 👌
3. New characters - yep there's some weird feelings I have about them tbh
I love Cait and Vi!
There's a lot more gae-panic and breaking of fidget toys in Elijah's reactions tho. 🤣
1. Loving the longer vids! Cool ok, good to know, I'll keep em coming!
2. Love the romantic parts! Me too! They're so well done, it's hard not to engage well with those sections.
Thank you for the kind words 🥰
A wholehearted agreement! I too love the long form videos you have here and feel free to ramble all you want. I learn so much from watching others.
@@ClaudieTV Indeed! This was a difficult arc to watch, but I think makes her all the more fascinating in the end.
I never noticed the Shakespeare refrences within the intro, you just made me love the intro so much more.
Also Caitlyn had quite pronounced biseps in season 1, during the scene in episode 4 where Jayce goes to see her after the explosion you can see them quite well. I know this because I spent quite a while examining the scene I am not ashamed to admit it 😅
Yeah I wasn't sure at first, glad I looked it up!
Ah yes I remember now... tbh I was more focussed on her legs, didn't look at her arms 👀🤣
@@ClaudieTV 😂fair
My favorite description was, "Caitlyn's a bit of a henchbeast herself." I want to say that was Mosca?
I never really watch reaction channels, but your reactions are so insightful and care so much about the characters, I really look forward to each ep you post!!
Ah wow thank you so much!
ive watched so many arcane reactions but youre my fav i love the appreciation of all the details, cant wait for the rest of s2 :D stay strong and keep tissues near
Thank you so much! Yes it is fantastic isn't it! Act 2 reactions are on their way, don't you worry 😉
Youre one of us!!! Watching your reaction videos made me so happy!! Spot on reaction!!
Haha I am indeed! And thank you :)
19:32 Caits' arms were always built. Go back and check out the scene in 1x04 when Jayce visits her in her room.
Never apologise for repeatedly going back over specific moments in the name of science! Such scientific inquiry is important and I fully support your rigorous methodology.
To be honest in that scene I was too busy looking at her legs lol
Cait always had arm goals
@@ClaudieTV 🤣🤣🤣
I literally spat out my drink at 54:40.
As everyone knows it’s imperative for snipers to have 2 (!) gloveless trigger fingers, plus the nails have to be cut properly 😊
Absolutely the ONLY thing I could think for why Caitlyn needs her gloves like that.
100% don't want to hurt the weapon
You lot man!!! I'm crying... 🤣👌
About the "Do you have any idea how that feels", yes Caitlin knows that but her asking Vi to put on a badge would be like Vi asking her to join up with Jinx.
Yup good way of looking at it!
Gotcha ok thank you!
Ah great to know! I love it too!
you're so funny to watch 😹😹
we went from: 1x01 16 minute reaction, "a friend said it was good so i guess ill watch it 🤷♀"
to: 2x01 1 hour, 13:25 *opens an envelope* "ooooooaahhh..."
i'm absolutely ready for that 5 hours director's cut by the end of the season 😏🍿🥤
1 hour for the next episodes will be short...
Thank you so much! I sure did like that envelope! Haha I'll make it 6 lol
"Jayce is more hunky."
Ma'am, thank you for having taste
You are more than welcome! lol
Ooooo ok, will do 🫡
your, "Like a squirrel with arthritis", Vi feels so responsible for Cait's Mom's death she feels she does not deserve to hug Cait.😭
Wish I could rewatch it all with new eyes but seeing others watch it all for the first time and just getting so into it allows me to do it again vicariously lol
Oh and fun fact, that scene of Cassandra's funeral was all hand done in charcoal. This show is an absolute labour of love.
They'll be a lot of hour-long reactions, maybe even longer lol! "Her and Jinx are parallels in a lot of ways" Absolutely!
Thank you so much haha!
That was all hand drawn! No way? Really!
Don’t threaten us with a good time 😂
54:39 ur going to hell for that one

🙈😆
All the fun people are there anyway. 😂 Holy cr*p that was amazing.
13:56 Actually she had the shot, with Jinx minigun but Vi asked her not to kill her because is her sister
Gotcha, good catch!

Oh god...great 🤣😭
"Stuck in a Himalayan salt lamp" 😂 The one that made me lose it when I saw it was "Viktor in his sourdough starter"
21:08 I love that you had to specify you said ASK with a K lol.

Your reactions really are the best, I'm thoroughly enjoying it and reacting along with you 😂 I might look like a crazy person but this show is absolutely worth going insane over 😭
So glad to see your channel grow as well!
Thank you so much! Such kind words! Yeah I love this show, and more than willing to go insane over it lol!
14 minutes and you are already in agony 😅haha, this is so pleasant to watch (I mean your wonderful reactions and comments, not your agony 😋) I've already watched all your videos from season 1 and I enjoyed them very very much, you've got me binge-watching your reactions, these are that good! 🤩
Ah thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying them 🥰
You're hyperventilating even though you just watched Season 1 - imagine how wired we were waiting two years 😀
Also your instincts are really good - you're the only reactor who noticed the person behind the mask was Renni.
Good catch! Thank you 🥰
Keep the long reactions coming! Oki dokes!
32:45 another cool detail that im not sure if someone has pointed out to you yet. Vi's face tattoo can obviously be read as "Vi" but it is also the roman numeral 6, which is made from the symbols for 5 and 1. Vi's inmate number at stillwater was 516
Ah that is interesting! Thought it could stand for 6 but wasn't sure!
Amazing reaction 👍🏻 the episode is heavy 😅 I had to rewatch the season
3 times to make sense of everything so much to take in.
I feel I'm going to have to do the same!
@@ClaudieTV It sounds like an album of 70's Prog Rock to me !
Jayce's montage simply show him making / reparing the hextech gear Cait and her team use.
About the team, Cait gathered the enforcers who had her back during the memorial attack.
Ah gotcha ok!
I read that the Kiramman name is matrilineal, passing from mother to daughter. I believe Cait's father, Tobias, took the Kiramman name when he married Cassandra.
Yes, I believe that to be the case
your reaction on Cait's gloves oh my gosh 😂
🤣
The intro is really fun to watch in slow motion, cause they hide so many details!
also, you have a good instinct. trust no one, they all gonna break your heart.
Oh well... fantastic 😉🤣

I think I'll have a lot of questions too tbh lol
17:14 "This season is gonna absolutely obliterate me, isn't it?"
Yes, it will, I've finished it week ago, and I still torture myself crying over some of the scenes, some from this episode too, Cait trying to get one last glimpse of her mom before the casket closing, momentarily breaking down before collapsing in Vi's arms....
Season1 was perfect, but the emotional scenes in S2 hit MUCH harder, better prepare yourself to cry to sleep
Oh great well this bodes well lol 😂
Caitlyn used her grief and anger to formulate a plan to severely reduce Zaun's capacity to attack Piltover. It's not all hatred as many people seem to infer, imo.
Exactly this. People forget the alternative plan was to send AN ARMY of enforcers to Zaun with hextech.
Good point, I hadn't reflected on it that way, but I like your thinking!
Joining the gang for the wild riddddddee.😂😂😂
Gotta say the observation and instinct is at the peak. Whoat else could we ask for!!
But there is something off, right?
Well, I think the best questions to keep asking throughout this season are:
Why do the characters choose to do so?
What do the characters need the most at present?
And how do they get there?
It seems to me, there are a lot of subtexts or meta messages that kept untold during the whole season. More so than S1. Keep up the close attention to the music, light and micro expressions that affects all, but, nah, I think you have nailed it. Legit.🎉
P.S. yes, you can slow the speed down on Netflix by clicking on the bottom left of the screen, where the "speed" words are shown. Hope it helps.
Welcome aboard! Yes a lot more subtexts for sure!
Noted, oki dokes, I'll do my best!

Yeah the bird does seem to be so recurring! Thank you so much! up to ep 4 atm, loving it :)
Ahah, Claudie, you're absolutely NOT READY for this season xD :DD
I know, I'm getting a sense of that already lol
Laughing is a classic coping mechanism.
Every Viewer (should) know that.
No need to say sorry 😌
Yaay, its here ❤

Finally! Thanks for pointing out that Powder was really troublesome from the start. I get that she could've grown up mentally stable if they were in a peaceful environment, but she was showing signs even as a kid.
Yeah I've always thought that lol, she was a bit of an issue lol
I really like that you don’t just focus on Cait and Vi like other folks. You cover the whole story. Really enjoying your takes!!
Thank you so much!
I agree. As much as I love them, every single character is just so nuanced and well written.
Season 2 Act 2 is going to be.... well. I look forward to your reaction to those episodes.
Cait has the Jinx bangs in the opening
How, in the name of all that's beautifully animated, did you recognise Renni under her curtains?
Very very very lucky guess, and just went by the shape of the person, being very tall and slim, and also the enforcer, with the tattoos on his neck. I just assumed it must have been someone we'd seen before!
@@ClaudieTV Remind me not to play poker with you.
As to who did or didn't create Jinx, Powder was already broken. First time I re-watched the series I noticed the Jinx scratches over the sounds of battle then the camera falls to Powder looking out through her fingers.
Come to think of it, arcane is mostly a series about broken promises and people trying freaking hard not to be their own worst enemies, and failing most of the time
Good take!
this season is gonna change ur life cant wait
Ooo I'm excited haha!
You're going to get pieces of wax into the tea!"
Also, with Vi's "Do you have any idea how that feels," she's actually kind of right there, and Cait is wrong.
The wax bit - Funny enough lol, I did think that in the edit haha
'Do you have any idea how that feels' - good point. It's similar, but not the same!
Renny - was a complete guess to be 100% honest. I surprised myself lol
Here some the whiplash, I love the longer content!! As for 2nd season, I feel like they made everyone eyes more 'alive' in a way that it's will punch you so haaaard 😭
Oh god hahaha 🤣
Omg, your reaction made me laugh out loud at times, which was unexpected given the dramatic tone of the episode but it was great 😂 ! And I understand, too many emotions. Love how you are invested in the show now 🙂
I agree with you, Vi didn't create Jinx. Milo and Silco did.
Yes, the Kirammans are a matrilineal family.
Oh and the sound balance is perfect now 👌
Thank you! Regarding sound, glad I've got it sorted :)
Girl! How did you guess it was Renni (chem baron lady with the green tubes) so fast!?
A lot of luck lol 😂
Very true!
22:21 🤣🤣🤣💙
Am I wrong tho lol
@@ClaudieTV 😂 nope, and not too soon
I think the difference is that Caitlyn has more power than Vi did to act on that feeling and to do so on a scale that could affect lots of people other than just herself and her target
If Vi had Caitlyn's influence and privilege, she could very easily have gone down the same path Caitlyn is in the wake of her own tragedies.
Good points here too! I agree a lot on this! There's a lot of similarities!
@ClaudieTV It makes me wonder if Vi recognizes it. Sees her own anger and determination reflected back in those eyes. She said at the beginning of the episode that she wants to take care of Jinx herself and keep anyone else from getting hurt
Maybe she signed up for this strike team for that reason, to prevent Cait from getting hurt or from reaching the point Vi did where she gets someone else hurt who she'll regret later
I know writer Amanda Overton has said she loves giving her characters exactly what they want, only to find that it actually makes their lives worse in every way. Which is pretty much exactly what happened to Vi in the season 1 finale when Silco got taken out and she finally got a family reunion, but it almost couldn't have gone worse for her
In addition to "losing" Powder (to Jinx) in the attack Vi also lost her future MIL.
you missed the clues that Mel's mum was behind the attack on the funeral ceremony.
I've seen a few reactions to this season, and a trend I've noticed is that people just seem to... forget Caitlyn's chatacterization from season 1?? They act like it didn't exist or something and they're just meeting this character for the first time when she's at her angriest, for understandable reasons, and make like 0 attempt to understand her character or her motivations beyond the most superficial level
Let's not forget that despite being at this point the direct victim of at least 5 terrorist attacks against Piltover by someone from the undercity, literally just this episode she was still arguing against sending an army of enforcers down there because most of the people are innocent and she doesn't want them to get caught in the crossfire. Jinx is a danger to innocent people, and as Cait learned this episode, the gangs that worked for Silco are also a danger to innocent people. And Shimmer is most DEFINITELY a danger to innocent people, topside and bottom. She's angry, she wants revenge, but she also really wants to protect people
That's the first lesson Caitlyn learned about being an enforcer from Grayson. They protect people. That's what they're shooting for. And the soft version of her that stood in that room with Jinx and didn't pull the trigger might not be strong enough to actually protect anyone
These are gonna be long reaction videos I predict!😄
You predict correctly hahaha
caitlyn being strong the entire intro until meeting Vi and completely collapsing into her arms :( allowing herself to be vulnerable
cait was always jacked, she's a police officer
drunkard is an enforcer aswell
i would recommend letting the scenes playout completely first and then going back to dissect, so we can get your full reaction
I really appreciate your eye for detail. It's impeccable. I think Cait's arms have always been quite well defined and impressive. I'm reminded of S1E4 when Jayce offers her the desk job. ofc not as bulked up as Vi so perhaps you've noticed something there, not sure.
Ah thank you so much! Yes her arms have always been quite large, just hadn't noticed haha
Can't wait what Riot comes up with next!
ofc they will have to move to Caitlyn house, they demolish what was left of Vi parents house in S1, and the Last Drop was kinda Silco's HQ. :P
🤣 very good point lol
Caitlyn understands how it's like to lose a parent now, yes. But asking Vi to join with the organisation responsible for the death of her parents is not at all the same thing. Vi was right in calling that out imo.
Edit:
I would argue Caitlyn comes from a place of immense privilege.
As always, really enjoying your reactions :)
Also interesting art tidbit. The funeral sequence was drawn in charcoal, with Vi and Caitlyn being the exception.
"Like a squirrel with arthritis" XD that was a good one
Yeah I agree
you're so sus about maddie i love it. i think the thing that immediately set me on edge about maddie was that she's a watercolor copy of vi. outgoing, short red hair with freckles, stocky, grey eyes. and her design could have been anything, she could have been another type of vastaya like steb ( the fish/lizard man) but she's this weird, diluted, topside version of vi. so why?
Yes good catch! She is the topside version of Vi!
Jaycce is Oppenheimer in the last shot

I agree, I agree, I agree
Its the formal uniform worn topside by female enforcers. Sort of a dress uniform like caitlyn wore in season 1 just minus the big hat. The other female enforcer in episode 4 killed by jinxs explosion wore the same. Ceremonial uniform , not for actual enforcer raids in the under city when they wear pants. I believe anyway. 🙂
Still laughing about the. Way Taylor swift went down the stairs 😂😂💀💀💀 not you talking about SALO
🤣 *'baby now we got bad blood' plays quietly in the distance...*
58:25 trust the process. I know there’s a lot to digest, and the rest of the season will be like this too. Lots to digest and you will not always be given answers immediately. But if you trust the process and just let the story flow, it’ll all come together in the end.
Oh don't worry I'm all in! I adore this show and love the complexity of it!
Good... bad... I can't tell. Yep, sounds like Arcane.
😂🙌
13:56 Technically, she did have the shot. And sure, she wouldn't have killed Jinx back then anyway, but she still drives herself crazy with the "what ifs"
15:58 This is also the first time we see Caitlyn crying over her mother's death 😪
19:34 If you go back to episode 4 in season 1, when Jayce visits Caitlyn after Jinx's attack, you can actually see that her arms are more beefy than people would expect lol. Makes sense, considering she's a sniper
29:19 yep! I know that some people are angry that Caitlyn was even having these thoughts, but it's pretty much a natural survival instinct. It's much more important that she recognizes the danger of having these thoughts and tries to fight them
48:25 I don't know if I would describe Caitlyn as impulsive.
In season 1, she showed her affection through actions and not words, except for when she asked Vi: "What about us?"
54:00 This is basically Caitlyn using her power and influence to defy the council and somewhat deescalate the situation.
And I thought Powder could get obsessed" 👀
It's going to get worse before it gets better 🫡
@@TheArtOfLoss Ooooo that is interesting!
