Geo:Karlson all thank and appreciate for you great efforts in OSGIS actually i have query not about this course but about [geoserver wms/wfs] wish you soon prepare for the server side lectures thank you
Thanks so much for this, very clear and practical. I am working in QGIS 3.10 on a MacBook running OS High Sierra. The option for Configuration Settings for the Georeferencer panel is not there? Any other way to 'dock' the Georeferencer panel into the QGIS programme screen? Thanks
Hi Klas , qq on this. Is there a way to change the transparency of the georeferenced map ? with a slider or so? in order to see what was then and what is on the map now? thanks
I have no MacOS experience around this but I can give you a few general tips. 1. Use the latest installer/version (at the moment 3.8.2) 2. Try it with a "fresh" profile (Settings - User profiles) 3. Check out "issues" on github.com/qgis/qgis and search for your problem. If it's not there, it may be time to file a bug report if the problem persists. I know it's frustrating when something "doesn't work", but when reporting problems, try to be specific and describe it in a way that the problem, if possible, can be recreated by someone else. Is it your plugin window that is closing? Does it show in the first place? Is it supposed to be docked as I show in the video? Is QGIS still working when georeferencer shut down? Do you get any error in the Log Messages?
I am so grateful you took the time to share your knowledge.
Hi Klas, another great video!! FYI, it is my understanding that Linear only scales and does not rotate, Helmert scales and rotates.
Awesome guide
thank you for the tutorial which is easy to understand and follow.
Thanks for the tutorial, it is very useful.
Wonderful help
Clear and useful as always

The other way of course is to use points with known coordinates and type them into the georeferencer plugin.

No, it's a separate module much like layout. It is not a "child" of the main QGIS application and can not be docked.
goooooooooood and thank you
Tack så mycket

You can set a raster layer opacity in the layer properties. There's a dedicated tab for that (transparency).
thanks

Ha Ha yes Winnipeg moved it is now in Canada ;^0
My map ends up in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean
Could it be that when I saved it from PDF to TIFF, the file became georeferenced so it is ignoring my attempt to georeference it?
