At the end of my marriage I learned the "why" is not important. To get stuck in the mud over the reason is counterproductive. To put it simple it's probably related to the 7 deadly sins. At my most resent separation my vocabulary grew from words like B**** to describe shisty behavior to larger words like licentious , prejudice. In the end the why doesn't matter. If their actions and words don't correlate they are only manipulating you to benefit from your presence.
You can only reach them people who got something going on. Everyone else live in they mind blaming the world. I make music and only some people will allow themselves to feel confident around people with talent and goals
Define sucess. Power? Jealousy? Control? Spite? Many reasons could be behind people's want for you to fail. May just be their success is hindered by your success. Some just despise for your charisma and charm can be alluring to some, disenchanting to others. I want rap success? All my fellow rappers want to see me fail. My parents whom raised me with morals I failed in my success, I succeeded in rap but failed in letting my honor be not one that was respecting towards my parents. Parents may want you to fail not from bitterness, but by they know its bad for you. You change, striving for what you want to become, most if not all fail.
