Bruv you are as old as me, how the fuck have you not played the original black ops? Damn.... disppointment bruv, and you are playing the shitty new cods too? What is wrong with you?
Kevin Sherwood is the one who both writes, and makes the instrumental for these songs. Elena Siegman is the lead vocalist for most of these songs. I highly recommend Abracadavre, Archangel, and Lullaby for a Deadman. Only way these songs played, is if you do an Easter Egg on certain zombie maps.
I miss the old days for gaming. We got so many good music like call of duty literally made a metal band for the soundtrack then asked avenged sevenfold who gave them "carry on" and "not ready to die"
Nothing will ever top playing bo1 and having this song play while you’re on with the boys, extremely hype, 10/10 recommend experiencing when we die and enter sandbox mode🤘
I play this on Black Ops 3 since its more modern and the song still hits as hard as Black Ops 1. Some of the best metal zombie killing music ever. Kevin and Elena were on a different level for sure.
The song was produced entirely in house by Treyarch by Elena Siegman and Kevin Sherwood. Elena on vocals and Kevin on all instruments: guitars, drums, and bass.
Oh and also 115 is a reference to Element 115 which created the zombies. CoD zombies lore is INSANELY complicated. Kind of like the show Lost. The song is from the perspective of an evil little girl named Samantha who controls the zombies.
I wouldnt say complicated its just a whole lot of shit to take in now that most of the actual story and lore is out from the first 4 games. Obviously 5 is still coming to light
This is an absolute classic. And yes, the soundtrack is full of bangers like this. Some slower, some heavier. The vocals are elena but the actual instrumentals and songwriting are all done by the legend, Kevin sherwood. Also, in case you don't know, "115" refers to divinium which is also known as element 115, a mysterious substance from outer space that started the zombie apocalypse in the original timeline.
Favourite COD, favourite zombies map. The nostalgia I have for this song is so high. Running around that map with 3 of your mates with this song blasting, annihilating zombies will be one of my favourite moments in my gaming life.
115 was a legendary song! Theres another called "beauty of annihilation" its another amazing song if u wanna check it! And bro dive into zombies cod especially BO3 custom/original maps u will enjoy it really
This song unlocked when you find all the hidden stones on the Kino map. It helped me juke all the zombies while headshotting them. Made me feel like a god
When I was young I always played this with my brother and we’d save the meteor rocks for the 20th round and during it we’d creat as much chaos as possible in the theater and we’d get a fuck load of chills. So touching for some reason
The entire album is absolute fire my guy. It is just so insane. I still listen to them to this day. Elena does mostly country music now days, but you know what? Her growls... her growls gave me so many chills in my childhood days.
The unusual thing about her screams is that they sound really raw. And you can hear how she runs out of brrath when she's screaming the verses, in the middle of the verse she'll go back to her normal voice before breathing in and screaming again. That combination sounds like a person screaming at a zombie more than a voice used in a song Most times in metal you wanna learn how to fry scream "properly" so you can sustain it for longer and it sounds less like screaming and more like an actual singing technique, less wild and more in control of the singer. But in Zombies songs it's that "The singer that doesn't know how to properly fry scream is just screaming" sound that makes it work so well
So, what's interesting is that this was Elena Siegman's first time doing screams, as she's not really a heavy metal vocalist. If you listen to Beauty of Annihilation, which is in Call Of Duty World at War, you'll notice a difference. The difference is that in Beauty of Annihilation, Kevin uses a synthesizer for Elena, giving the effect of screaming vocals. But for Black Ops 1's 115, he actually wanted her to do real screams, wanting it to be authentic coming from Elena. When Elena did the screams, everyone, including Elena, were laughing, cause it was her first time doing something like that, and they loved what they heard. So, after 115 and every song afterwards, Elena's been doing the screams in every song, well most of the songs.
As someone whos listened to this song since black ops 1, I'm glad you like it. Easily one of the best,. Its sad that newer players dont get to experience this song without having to look it up or be told about it. They could fill all the new zombies maps with og songs and I doubt anyone would complain
115 is the element that created the zombies, and the lyrics are a reflection of Samanth's hatred of it's creator "Richtofen", who also is the one who created her "unintentionally". Now she is hell bent on chaos and destruction until all living things are dead "including" Richtofen. So just imagine a really pissed of little girl hell bent on destruction singing this. Just a wee bit of COD zombies lore for you. There are a lot of really good "full story" videos on RUclips for anyone interested in it.
Actually the song originally came from world at war which was the first call of duty to have zombies which was actually never was going to be a part of the game and was just some random side project the developers made as a laugh and for fun, only to have the ceo of triarch play it and had it implemented into the game
You're going to have to tell me where in World at War this song was. I have played through WaW countless times, spent an unhealthy amount of hours in the Zombies mode, and not once do I remember hearing it.
imo all of the og zombie songs are bangers ,mostly performed by Elena Siegman on vocals and written by Kevin Sherwood. I don't remember her being in a band (not one that I know of at least) 115 is based on the zombie storylines Element 115 for the reanimation of the dead
My first experience with Kino der Toten was the easter egg out of NOWHERE, and I was just blown away. I dream of the day that Black Ops 1 and 2 could get re-releases.
115 is like the most popular Easter egg song from zombies, you should also hear the other CoD zombies songs. I recommend beginning from Wold at War to Cold War, because you can see how the songs changed over the years. Main singer for most songs is Elena Siegman, but the other two vocal singer are Maluka and Clark S Nova. They even have a song with all three called Archangel from Origins Black ops 2.
Considering that it's first heard when you die on Der Riese - the Nazi Zombie Factory, if you will - it definitely brings out the atmosphere; it definitely brings out the Nazi zombies for who they truly are - soulless abominations guided by an unseen and emotionless force to subjugate the world and destroy all traces of human civilisation - and it definitely gives you the "your failure to stop the rot at its source has enabled it to spread and doom us all" vibe. 115 is by far my favourite in the soundtrack for this exact reason
Definitely need to also check out Beauty of Annihilation, and then the Avenged Sevenfold songs as well. Such staples in the zombies community. I believe the Avenged songs are I'm Not Ready To Die and Hail To The King.
Kevin Sherwood is a blessing to the COD franchise, playing zombies definitely wouldn’t be as fun without his great Easter egg songs. 117’s singer Elena Seigman is the most iconic zombies vocalist, but there’s been several other great vocalists over the years too e.g Malukah and Clark S Nova.
Kevin Sherwood is the composer for all these original metal zombies songs. With Elena Siegman its OG 👌 they have blessed us in every map with a secret song since World at War!so sad that they stopped doing original songs for each map half way through Cold War though :(

Kevin Sherwood and Elena Siegman is one of the members who made this song but i didn't really get to know how the drummer and the bassist is, all i know is Kevin Sherwood is the guitarist and Elena Siegman is the vocalist
you will not feel the song until you play the zombie while its playing at the background. Also the song tell you about "kino der toten" and its puzzles.
