    Mate, Yorkshire Tea is the one, highly recommend if you can get hold of it out there! (milk, no sugar)

    I've said "missed lethal" sometimes but is not to disrespect the video or the effort that was put into it but more to shine a light into the capacity of the deck and the lines that it has, maybe it helps someone who is motivated to play the deck to not miss lethal. At the end we all miss lethal sometimes is just part of the game, especially with a new deck.

      @PowrDragn  6 месяцев назад +4

      That's the thing though, it's often just multiple people rushing to the comments to say the same thing. People that care about that aren't even reading those comments. And sometimes, it's not even missed lethal, but more about playing around stuff just in case, when there's virtually no way to lose otherwise. Or even worse, when I've already pointed out the mistake myself in the video. LOL. Or a situationw here it really didn't matter as all the avenues to losing were covered anyway. Just feels more like people just wanting to be heard and be the smartest person in the room. Which I guess is a thing all its own.
      A good example is the Pro Tour coverage from today. I watched MULTIPLE TIMES the chat light up with piles of comments about player mistakes and trying to alert the judges when there wasn't even a mistake being made.
      It's become so common at this point, it's practically it's own MTG/card game trope. And not one that really benefits anyone.
      Edit: I will say in situations where there's a tricky play or multiple triggers that result in a few possible points to win the game when the pilot otherwise thought the game was over, that's a possible thing. But otherwise, I'm not sure what the real benefit is. Especially if the pilot won the game just the same.

    Thoughts on what would be a good card to replace the Vedalkan Epicure once it rotates? Or will we just have to see what Bloomburrow has in store?

    • @PowrDragn
      @PowrDragn  6 месяцев назад

      There no card that replicates what it does. And realistically, there likely won't be. It's a pretty unique card.

    3x spell pierce is based in this meta. Same with duress in black decks

    • @PowrDragn
      @PowrDragn  6 месяцев назад

      Yeah, it turned out to be really good. Won at least two games in this video because of it.

      @@PowrDragn But spell pierce is not rotation proof....it sucks. most of my fun izzet decks took a breating: no spell pierce, no consider, no ancestral anger, no ledger shredder....nothing to keep proft going either when I'd add that in. I feel like it's now Otters or useless jank.

    Fr everyone forgot how good izzet pirates were.
    Just got bored of playing em or something because they were a solid deck then everyone just stopped playing them.

    Im torn on the 'missed lethal' and other 'corrections'. On one hand, more often than not, its just as you put it an attempt to appear smart or clever without adding much value. On the other hand, its still sometimes worth listening to critiques or plays and evaluating them. The issue is always ego, on the commenters or players side...

    • @PowrDragn
      @PowrDragn  6 месяцев назад

      Oh, it's not ego on this side for me, or most creators I speak with. I'm not even worrying about playing perfectly. Not at all what I brand myself on. Half the time I'm poiting out and making fun of my own mistakes.
      I've been fortuante enough to have played in the high level events in the past, PT's and such. I'm not even worrying about the concentration, practice, stress, etc to play at that level again. My content is simply about being chill, and trying out a variety of decks and cards. I even personally tell people to expect 3-4 mistakes per video, hang out for the vibes, and you'll enjoy my stuff a lot more.

    • @00mongoose
      @00mongoose 6 месяцев назад

      @@PowrDragn I do admit, the vibes are immaculate. Probably the most fun MTG player to watch, rarely getting frustrated at loses or mistakes, and playing fun decks. But the annoyance with these comments is exactly counter to the general vibes, but perhaps that's just me

    • @PowrDragn
      @PowrDragn  6 месяцев назад

      @@00mongoose Totally fair to feel that way. I was just putting it out there to save people time and space. But hey, if makes folks feel good to keep on doing so, I don't have the ability to stop them from typing it. 😉
      For me personally, I'd rather have discussions about card choices, possible decks to cover, metagame decisions, etc. That stuff contributes to better comments and more helpful comments section (if folks ar elooking to help).
      But I'm not *mad* at any comments that get posted outside of the racist/harassing stuff that we take down and report with the quickness.
