The AI is soooooo bad right now, even after the so-called 1.0 update. First, they can spot you even when you are moving slowly in bushes and worse, they spawn out of nowhere. If you go to the airfield and there isn’t a mission going on, you have no idea if there is AI around or not. You can scope out a base with your binoculars or a camp, hanger, whatever and see nobody there. The moment you walk in to the area, suddenly you are surrounded by military with assault rifles, blasting you to bits. The same can happen when driving down the road and you suddenly see AI falling out of the sky right in front of you. It really ruins an otherwise fun game.

I don't play very often but when I do there's usually a few high pop PVP servers with decent ping and a bunch of PVE ones . its not DayZ numbers but you can find a game. the devs seem to be updating progress pretty regularly on steam even if they're not releasing updates all the time. is it worth it ? you'll get more hours out of it than you'll get from some ubisoft crap and it's 1/3 the price. would i buy it instead of DayZ? - no do i play both? yes
it took them 2 years to get some cars, prone was like 1,5 years and its a wanna be rust now. nothing special about deadside. most of the criticque people were banned on steam etc. the playerbase is split between pvp and pve and the devs dont do shit for both. AI will still laserbeam u from 200-300m away

Is this game worth buying? I'm seeing people say devs abandoned it and servers are dead
It´s for sure worth, the devs are bringing a massive update as you can see so hopefully more people will start playing this game again!
