    Thank you for everything you do, Sandi! I love that i can watch your vlogs with my 10 year old daughter and you're "safe" to watch. And the way you explain everything that is happening, even down to how you prepared in case you were short on feeder space, just makes you feel like a friend who is including us in your daily life. I also look forward to your insta-stories which i can count on every day, without fail. I look forward to your vlogs like i would look forward to a conversation with a friend. You're amazing and your effort towards your vlogs and stories is very much appreciated by those of us who need a little escape from our own life, even if just for a few minutes. Thank you Sandi. 💙Megan

    I have said i know almost nothing about sheep and how they are raised. However you have taught me a lot. I'm not one who embraces technology, but the system you use save so much time and not have to write it manually.

    I think back in the late 70's early 80's when we raised sheep here in Iowa we put red paint all over the Buck or Ram if you prefer, chest area and check daily for the red on the Ewe's backside and remove from group after couple of days to make sure they are bred at least once if not more. We raised Suffolk mainly and some Montadale, both excellent breeds.

    Sandy, I have something to say and I really hope that you will read this. I listen to a program about horses God horse plus heroes. And they have a number of other programs about rescuing horses rehabilitating them and then rehoming them. They ran into similar issues when they were wanting to show. I removals and surgeries on their horses that needed to be done. And so they opened up a new program where they can show all that gory stuff to those that wanted it. It's called horse plus vets. And now we can watch all that gory stuff. If we like to watch it. You may want to call him and ask him what they did to be able to have a channel on RUclips that is not censored. I hope this helps some. I do enjoy watching your program when you're lambing. Have a good lambing season. I'm looking forward to it.

    Get hair sheep. They self-shed their hair in the spring. It's so much easier than shearing.

    • @SilverFlame819
      @SilverFlame819 5 лет назад

      Easier, yes. But doesn't bring in the same profit, because you have no wool to sell.

    • @SilverFlame819
      @SilverFlame819 5 лет назад

      @Mel Hawk There is no "fleece" on a hair sheep. The hair grows out to only a couple inches or so, and in the spring it sheds off. It's more like dog hair. How would you even begin to wash it and card it? It would be like trying to wash a German Shepherd's hair. I can't imagine it would ever spin well, because it doesn't have a crimp or the length that a wool sheep does.

    • @SilverFlame819
      @SilverFlame819 5 лет назад

      @Mel Hawk They are my favorite breed. :-)

    • @SilverFlame819
      @SilverFlame819 5 лет назад +1

      @Mel Hawk Also higher disease resistance, super hardy, can finish on grass without grain, no tail docking, 3 types of fiber, more mild flavor, tons of milk if you want to milk them, and comes in a polled variety! You can't go wrong. :)

    I would try using raddle powder mix with vegetable oil n it last a week no pain for the rams and you definitely know who has been bred the spray paint can dry up in a day 👍

    My Lord those are some thirsty Rams...but I guess they only get so many chances in a year, can't say I blame them for making the most of it. Lets hope you have 100% pregnancy rate!
