Excellent presentation. It shows both the old and the vibrant new of Sheffield as well as the good and the bad. Thankfully much of the regeneration has been done sympathetically, grateful thanks to Sheffield City Council for that and all the other improvements they oversee. From a personal perspective there seems to be a lack of diversity in the shops with far too many junk food shops. It was heart-warming to hear some older pedestrians speaking "Old Sheffield", the must, like me, have been dee-dahs. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the posting. I miss Sheffield back to those days during my student years in 1993-1995 whilst studying @ Sheffield Hallam Univ. Nothing much has changed along the Moor and those streets + the tram 😍👍👍👍👍👍 thanks for bringing back the sweet memories. Cheers from Malaysia
so many memories and so much has changed thanks for this video about the only thing i remember from back in the mid 80s is Atkinson and the crucible, all else seems new. Oh and no trams then.
Sheffield is like a very very small version London or I'm I wrong without the TFL system. But it has caught my interest a lot though as someone who hasn't been there yet, I'm going there in the near future to visit my girlfriend (she's from Sheffield) and I'm from London.
It was my home town and I thought "It's cool and busy!" And then I moved to Leeds which is always packed to the rafters with shoppers and I realised I was wrong. All the big shop are moving to Meadowhall so Sheffield no longer has a city centre as such, Meadowhall started to kill it, lockdown virtually finished it.

Amazing Sheffield looks so good
Thanks for this. I’ll be in Sheffield soon. This was really helpful. I loved the beauty and beast violinist

A realistic walk, no up beat music or sunny weather. Which l found more informative
Stunning city centre. THX for sharing
It seems to lack grandeur for a City of its size. Where are all the large grand buildings other cities have?
Most of them were destroyed in WW2. The city was bombed repeatedly as the city produced all most the UK's steel during the WW
@@peternelson7678 I bet most of them were torn down by the council.
