I left Sheffield, my favorite city, in 1952 with my parents. I still miss Sheffield in 2023.. Thank you Alasdair for "Sheffield in the Rain".
The councils through the years have certainly changed Sheffield but I don't think for the better
I loved growing up in those days, especially like the parts showing Crooksmoor and the "Ponderosa"

Telephone boxes, you couldn't get near one for a couple of hours after 6 o'clock, because that's when the off peak rate started!

Are these Stanington Flats on here. Our house overlooked them from Manchester Road when I was a young boy

Folk club at Sheffield Uni. Ranmore hall, if I remember correctly
I don't see any puddles or umbrellas in them photos
