The pascal number is a very useless indicator for the cleaning performance. For example the S8MaxV Ultra has a marketing number of 10000 pa (messured somewhere inside the robot) while the "real" pa number messured at the cleaning head is low as180 pascal and this is still in sealed condition (next to carpet cleaning but while hardfloor cleaning it is even lower). More important is high airflow and a good cleaning head / brush design as shown in the s8maxv ultra testing ruclips.net/video/VVnX3uhBiTQ/видео.html . I have not tested the QREVO yet regarding cleaning performance but i expect it to perform better as the S8MaxVUltra (if the new brush system it not a design fail) since it airflow path is better.
@@frickhelm Thank you for your response. I agree with you, I'm just hoping they fixed the s8 design flaws, there has been a surprisingly low (non existent?) amount of people that pointed out the worse performance of the dual brush system.
No. It mops with water. The floor is a bit shiny and depending on the viewing angle it might look like there is no water applied to the floor. Have not wwatched the video after upload but also youtube cuts down the bitrate so image details maybe also lost.
Do you think it's better than S8 MaxV Ultra? I'm having S8 MaxV Ultra but not happy with the vibrant mopping system as I feel it's not as good as the spinning one. Moreover, its too sophisticated to do maintenance on the dock. If this new Qrevo Curve can fix the above-mentioned issues, I thinks its definitely a better choice. Anw, thanks a lot for your videos

I still can't buy the Roborock qrevo edge anywhere in Holland, really annoying because it should already be in stores here ...
Der Edge/Curv sind identisch ausser der Optik. In Europa soll es angeblich nur den Curv geben und der Edge nur im englischsprachigen Ländern.
@@Bobbsi1 Where di you find that info, I have searched everywhere - I thought :)
Do you know the release date of the curv for U.S.?
Is it the new one that has 18500 Pa? did you notice any difference so far?

Surprisingly enough Dreame has moved to a dual cleaning design in their newly shown robots on IFA 2024
@@nicolassama2740 for dust has been shown over and over that it performs a bit worse than single brush. For carpet and hair/fur it's much better.
@@xeon2k8 Where? Every test I have seen, including against deep carpets has shown the s8 to have worse performance than the S7.
Ist das noch die Auslieferungs-Software oder gab es da schon ein Update? Wie sieht’s aus, wegen Kabel und Haare klappt das gut?
LG Chris

to me it looks like its cleaning without water?

here you can see some water : ruclips.net/video/t1I_4SRmJWg/видео.html
@@frickhelm yes later on it looks like it uses water.

it's at best slightly better rotating mops in some situations. That's about it. The dock for sure is easier to clean
there is still much to improve
Oof that is loud and annoying af 😂 glad I preordered the freo z
that's what it sounds like on camera, but its very quiet in real life.
