I dig that paddle! Also, you are making the technical look so easy.
Incredible right.
Great invention - Maybe someday, I’m only 70 !
You got this!
Me too and I'm 73. I do know that back in the day … in a galaxy a long, long time away… um forget that … I would have bought one of these things. Man did that look cool to do!
@@wereflea8496Can get an efoil (electric assisted foil) and do it even when you are 100.
succeeding in standing on such a board is already a challenge, succeeding in taking off is another challenge which requires a very good technical and cardio level
Good ol Columbia Gorge, so recognizable.
My neighborhood bro! I cant wait til i get to try this awesome sport. On the Columbia no less!
Like a dolphin in the waves. So jealous
That looks sick
That water look cold cold 🥶
This is the future of shipping.
Lifeguards tools definitely ❤❤
Thanks for sharing this 😁... great pointers
Thank you!
This looks so enjoyable.
whats your rig? board looks good for tiny waves, I've had pipe dreams of surfing a lake nearby on wind swell days
Absolutely fantastic
This looks like so much fun
А фойл выглядит как электрический. 😂
Fabulous!!!
These things look like so much fun.
Now we know how the Vikings got to this continent..😮😅
Those guys had balls of steel. The North Atlantic is insane even in a large boat.
Such grace.
Oh my goodness, I would love to try that but, I'm too old now,.... Love it though.😊
Never too old. I’m 55 and going to start wing foiling.
How fun!!
Very good
The good ole Hatch!
Mind Blown! 🤯
This looks super fun but exhausting. I'm too fat right now. 😂 I've been stuck in a rut between 240 and 250 for nearly 10 years now.
I was in the same rut until Type 2 diabetes woke me up. Low carb eating has helped me greatly, dropping 30 pounds when combined with walking.
Keto with intermittent fasting. Go watch some Dr. Berg videos. Will change your life. I went from 270 to 205.
Awesome skills and awesome video level 🤙😎✨
It’s almost as if the paddle is also used a tail, a counter balance.
Hopped on the back and got some action!!
All I can hear is Spencer Sterling in the background going he he he he he
Hahahahaaaaa I was thinking the same thing.
That’s very cool.
This area looks like the Columbia river gorge..❤
Yep it is!
This the comment I was looking for👍
I wanna try this so bad
Crazyyy good
Man I wish I lived near the ocean and had time to do things I enjoy. Must be nice.
How did he record his voice ? Via a wireless Mike transmitted to a drone 😮😮😮 hmm..??
Let’s not over think this, maybe he had a microphone and a mobile phone in his pocket.
Are you serious?
You can see he's got something hanging around his neck, so probably a cell phone or some small audio recorder, and then he just syncs the audio up with the video from the drone later.
Swell city 🔥
Camera man is incredible
Extraordinario😂
Too expensive for us in developing country.
We still put priority in affording for life, such as everyday food and education fee for children.
But one day, I really dream that I can go to the beach for wind foiling or do surfing, much more time for this healthy outdoor activity.
Amiin 🤲
I want one
I'll never try it, but I'd like to understand it.
You can watch the full video on the RUclips channel!
It's got like a single fin and then a small wing or foil as they're called attached to it. It's essentially the same as an airfoil on a planes wing and creates lift in the water the same way a planes wing does through the air. Just think of the water as really thick air. That's why the board rises up, as the foil is lifting it. But the water needs to be going over the foil fast enough for it to create lift. The same way a planes wing does or it'll stall and fall out of the sky. Or in this case the board sinks back down to the water. Anyway, I hope this helps you understand how it works. Or just search it on youtube. I'm sure there'll be plenty of vids showing the bottom of the board and explaining how it works.🙂
Goat
Is that one NOT battery powered?
wow this is cool... whats the advantage of the stingray paddle?
How many knots are the waves? And what is your speed when you fly? Thanks!!
The bumps are probably averaging about 10-15 mph. You can go faster by turning back and forth
So what happens if you fall off that thing out there dude? Does it stay afloat while you try and climb back on? And how do you get it going again?
The board floats and you climb back on and try again, and again, and again, and again... lol
De e fint de! :)
Wait..what is causing the forward movement when he's not pumping...when he's just standing still?
I like
Great short! What paddle is that? Bizarre looking blade -- but obviously effective. Intriguing...
Hit up @mattelsasser he can let you know!
I just moved to an area with a lot of motorized water sports, but I've never seen foiling. How difficult is it to start?
‘“Curses, foiled again”! 🤪
That’s sick. How do I get into this sport?
www.wingfoilprocenter.com
Buy one your in ??
Do you need somebody down? Wind to pick you up? I mean you can't turn around and go back right?
Mate my back hurts just thinking about trying to balance on that thing.
YOU KNOW DE RULZZE!!!
Bumps doesn’t sound right, I wonder if there’s another word we could use for sections of water that’s raised above the normal surface level?
Does it come with a respirator?
I would have tried it 70 years ago. I am 90, so that’s to much for my old body.
You are not 90
@@portalbuilder7021 didn’t ask. Go home Karen.
@@LyroLifethat didn’t even make sense
@@LyroLifeya no 90 year old is privy to the term Karen, sorry sport
@@LyroLifedefinitely not 90. Plus, you’ve posted videos with yourself in it, and you are definitely not 90.
What skills do I need before I should consider trying this?
No skills! Just dive right in....
bello e inteligente ingenio, solo creo que serà mas atractivo para tiburones que las tablas normales. La ventaja es que el primer ataque irà contra la estructura submarina...
Great. I am also completely a surfoil and started practicing. Thank you for sharing your experience

What happend if you are not “bumping”?
What's the name of the board you're using?
What is the principle in this method? What keeps the foil able to move forward?
The swell of the waves have energy lifting the foil as it speeds along.
Makes me seriously wonder why we haven’t exploited this principle to generate electricity with underwater turbines. Oh yeah, I forget, Bg Oil!
What are the water bikes?
huh silly question from a non foiler/kitter/surfer... but wouldn't something like a wingsuit be useful in such a situation ? I wonder if you could orient your body in a way where you body (and wingsuit) is generating lift .. it would have to be designed orthogonally to a skydiving wingsuit I think... but I feel like it could work
How big a problem is it that it’s a one way ride? Must take long to paddle back or do you have someone to pick you up?
The wind and waves normally travel upstream here, so paddling back isn't too bad. It's easier to get upwind with a wing, though.
Drats. Foiled again!
The Quickblade Stingray paddle in action…🙌

What size board is that ? 😮
It was a 7'0 from lift foils. liftfoils.com/products/70-108l-down-wind-sup
Phew! I thought a great white shark was about to jump out of water any moment..
Please how to get it
Is that Columbia river?
It's to me like it's the Hood River where it meets up with the Columbia
what is downwind SUP model ?
Is that Turnagain arm?
I’ll buy one when they make them more affordable. The price for a quality foil is insane.
Gong Foils are reasonably priced. Plus they're proven by multiple foil discipline world champ. Get in the water and foil already!
@@jeromesurffoil7033 went on the website, no way the average person has $1k for the beginner package. I understand the demand is focused on a certain consumer base, but to me they are outrageously priced. Thanks for the suggestion though.
"Breaking: Surfer invents perpetual motion machine."
Is that a frog gig or a paddle ?
Want one but live on the gulf. Sometimes it's still as a lake
I live on the gulf (between Houston and Galveston) and foil 1-2 times a week. You can always pump foil or wing foil when you can't down wind.
That looks cold
That was super inspiring how much was your bored
Nice ones are over 1k, add a motor and you're really getting up there.
Looks like you are on Hood River.
Yep 100%!
Looks like the lower columbia river
Why pump when you can efoil?
:)
This is hilarious looking
Drone pilots on point!!
Is this in a lake?
What foil do you use?

You know da rulez
What foil are you using?
Lift Foils 150 HA X. with a 20 carve tail.
Do you need the wind for that?
To generate the swell, yes.
Correct re: wind and swell. But having the wind at your back helps a bit too, as would going against the river current.
Perhaps you should know that those bumps are actually called waves. Bumps are common on terra firma.
Are you in the Columbia River gorge?
Yep!
you know da rulez
something i would buy and never be able to do......
With a motor, that thing would be boss.
They have it www.liftfoils.com
Is it as easy as it looks?
Yes. Just like pro skateboarding.
@@sandorpalcso1142 doubt it’s that tricky bro
no. sup foiling is harder than wing foiling. you need really good balance to paddle a board that short enough to get up on the swell.
Fuck no - it’s like a surfing a single ice skate
not sure if joking
What's the max age for this game ? It seems exhausting.
Never a MAX! Just need to pick the right days.
Noooo, u cut of the one for the boys!!!
