Hi K, thank you so much for your kind words! Appreciate the love & support 🤗 Slowly but surely this family will grow too.. all in good time! 😁👍 thanks once again.
Hi Yasmin, thank you for your comment. I can totally relate, it's a labour of love and I'm glad your efforts were appreciated. Glad you all enjoyed this.
Hi S Zam, thanks for your comment. Enjoy this lovely dessert which btw you can make the day before and leave in the fridge to chill for the next day, which will be perfect for Eid In sha Allah! Would love to hear how you liked it. 😊
Hi Bautista Powerslam, it's honestly such an easy dessert to make once you've tried it. I have never used a packet mix to date, If you try the recipe you'll know why! 😁👍
That looks delicious. I am going to make this for my elderly mum, she loves rice pudding and this will be a pleasant twist for her and nice change from an classic English rice pudding which she is used to. It may become a new favourite I'm reckoning. Thank you.
Hi there Richard K, thank you for your comment. It's honestly an amazing and simple dish packed with lots of flavour. More or less all Indian desserts use cardamom to flavour them. I'm sure your mother will like it. Would love to hear how you get on.
JazakAllah khair for your kind words. A heavy bottomed pot/pan is always best and constant stirring will prevent the kheer from sticking to the bottom, cooked over a low to moderate heat! Hope that helps 😊
Thanks for this recipe instructional. But to stand and stir continuously for 30min + means not today dear! My feet are killing me from already a full day in the kitchen tomorrow is another day. Will prepare! Here's a question for you: I have rice milled several months ago and it's already broken. Any change to liquids / cooking time? Appreciate your time and videos.
I haven't used broken rice to make this dish, so I unable to comment as far timing and quantity of liquid is concerned but my understanding is that in order for it to develop flavour and cook to the desired consistency, it would require the same amount of time & liquid quantities. I personally would not change anything. Why don't you try it and let know 😊👍
Clumpy, or thicker? It does thicken up when cold, so could become a little clumpy. We normally eat this cold, but can be eaten hot as well, which should get rid of clumps.
If you bring the milk up to almost boiling before pouring it into the rice, it won't stick to the bottom or reduce the temperature to your cooking rice. Have you ever used coconut milk! Delicious!
This is great. It’s not been refrigerated yet but I can tell it will be great when I serve it to guests tomorrow. One question; where did you use the coconut?
Stevie, the coconut and nuts where added right before I served it to myself on camera. I didn't show that on video as some people may be allergic to nuts etc... so sorry. Just add them once its chilled and just before you serve.

Perfect, one of my favourite deserts. We usually use the packets to make the kheer. Will give this a go, you made it look so easy. Thanks

Of course.. everyone's version will be different so why not! 😊👍

Fantastic recipe MashaAllah. Please can u recommend best cooking pot for the kheer as I find some pots make it stick at the bottom.
JazakAllah khair for your kind words. A heavy bottomed pot/pan is always best and constant stirring will prevent the kheer from sticking to the bottom, cooked over a low to moderate heat! Hope that helps 😊
@my little kitchen hey do I have to eat it cold only??
Hi Mina Baby, traditionally its served cold but no you can eat it as you like hot or warm - you are your own boss! ☺
Can you use the rice pudding rice as well?
Yes you can

@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes will do, thanks again!!! 😊
Mine went thick this time should I add more milk
Do you cover the container when you put it into the fridge?
Always, you don't want other food smells entering the kheer! Cover tightly with cling film or a lidded container.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes made it today, everyone loved it! Although it was clunky when it came out of the fridge…is this normal?
Clumpy, or thicker? It does thicken up when cold, so could become a little clumpy. We normally eat this cold, but can be eaten hot as well, which should get rid of clumps.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes it would be great if you could also do a video on how to make semiya
Can you use ground cardamom if you don’t have the pods? If so, when and how much?
You have a nice British accent
Thanks 😊

Have you ever used coconut milk! Delicious!
Yummy
Excellent. Do you have a KFC chicken recipe?
Thanks Amir 😊
Nasir, yes I do which I will be sharing after Ramadan In sha Allah. Stay tuned!
When do u put the nuts and pistachios... ?
I just garnish with it right at the end 😊👍
Can u use condensed milk
Absolutely, leave the sugar out or add according to personal preference 😊
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes how much condensed milk would you suggest using if replacing sugar?
This is great. It’s not been refrigerated yet but I can tell it will be great when I serve it to guests tomorrow. One question; where did you use the coconut?
Hi David, thanks for your comment 😊
I added it as a garnish on top before serving 😁👍
What are the measurements ?
The ingredients are listed in the description box.
I prefer warm kheer
where are written directions?
It's 'cardamom' - not cardamon'....
Great recipe! Thank you
Ha! Yes Annette.. 🤣 To err is human! But well done for picking that up!! 👏
I’ve watched this twice and did I miss when you used the desiccated coconut, and the nuts sorry…
Stevie, the coconut and nuts where added right before I served it to myself on camera. I didn't show that on video as some people may be allergic to nuts etc... so sorry. Just add them once its chilled and just before you serve.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes thank you lovely. X
Wow, that's a lot of sugar!
You can reduce the amount to suit your personal preference.
Yummy
