I'm always crying if there's a Episode without subtitlrs. Not only do they make it so much easier to understand (surprise, no natural english speaker, but I know what graupel is), they are funny in themself.

They do answer it in rob's youtube. When he interview adam and ben. Yes he is a pc but what make it confusing is ben roleplaying as a player that plays bob or something like that
Rowan as a DM sounds hilarous. He always seems the most confused by what's going on.
I expect one of two things to happen:
1) He will indeed be very confused and it is the players that will remind him of the rules.
2) He will cram and prepare like a madman to surprise everyone with his game DMing mastery. And afterwards, when he's back to playing Bodger, he'll really know the rules.

@@Lorqu1n Got to add my thanks as well. As a hard of hearing sufferer it can get really chaotic at times(especially when they all talk/shout over each over) and you do such an amazing job of keeping us informed of what they are saying/entertained with your own additions.

I wasn't expecting to see a fly in the NEW studios. Like, entrance could have been made with an overpressure air wall (like in shopping malls). Anti-insect mesh on every window. Sticky fly traps everywhere. Plus a few Swarms of Spiders (Monster Manual page 335) for good measure.
2:45 Re the table, I hope you don't have the cameras now facing the people on the sides head on. One of the things I really like about this D&D campaign is the vibes of watching people play at a normal table, kinda more fly on the wall style, rather than the more "staged" setups of other actual plays. If the players are facing too much towards the cameras, I'd personally feel more discomfort watching

Definitely avoid the overproduced table set up. The way the cameras are set up now definitely is a big part of the ‘feel’. For the love of god don’t get a dice camera
Yeah, i think its also imported for the players to still face each other. The session gives off a different vibe.

Poor guy… his daughter was sick and he needed money to pay for her treatment, his dog was eaten by goblins, he couldn’t afford to pay the taxes on the family farm and lost it, his wife died a year ago and later he found out she cheated on him with his twin brother, and he had to go through all of this with only one good lung… then he lost that too, and was shortly thereafter decapitated, and stabbed to death, and his rotting corpse unceremoniously left on the floor in Greg’s tavern. And still never got the 15 gold he was promised…

My head canon is Baelin is a prince who was cursed to not be able to speak any other word and wonder in the same path for his whole life until someone breaks the curse.
I was kind of thinking Baelin might be a monk class giving him the restrictions of his phrase as more of a mantra. Funny to think about.
My head canon is still that Eugene is Baradun before he became awakened
Baelin could be a master Ninja indisguise doing surveillance for someone powerful.
The most important character creation thing for the other campaign is to know all their favorite fears.
Because Bob will ask, within seconds of meeting them.

My question for next time would be, will we ever see or get updates about the guest characters (Domino, Clem, Ellie) by either them returning or Rob playing them. Their stories are kind of just left up in the air.

I think the biggest thing this Campaign has done for me throughout the past few months is fill the anxious and depressive thoughts in my head with something I can laugh at it and listen along to instead of worrying about other things. I've watched every compilation at least twice. You guys are amazing! Please keep doing what you do!

Love the series can't believe I've sat and watched like 10 hours of this over 2 years XD, I'd love to see a One Shot where everyone plays PCs so whenever they talk in the real world that just them talking in game over their mics and a couple of challenges could be real world interruptions like having to take the bins out or someone's at the door with Rob being the NPC that's given them the escort quest or something.

It's amazing how much background/lore you put into Epic NPC man so that it isn't just a bunch of skits but an actual whole world
Hey, long time fan here. My 2 cents on Greg 💙
Greg is the first NPC we met in the Epic NPC Man universe, for what we know he has always been there.
It seems logical to me that Alan doesn't want to explore Greg's past. He probably doesn't have one.
And I get the difficulty in choosing a class for Greg: he can be an artificier (he creates items to be sold to PCs, he creates quests), he can be a cleric (he wants to protect the Honeywood's people lives through his quests), heck he could be a bard cheering other people up and helping with words (remember his actor feat?).
Greg is the least adventurous of the NPCs, doesn't like to fight and the recent clerical (?) conversion is a sign that he wants to state that he's different.
He's a really deep character waiting for his story arc to be fully developed (and, as said in this video, Rob's working towards that).
Love this series! Eventually, I think it would be really awesome to see Rob step out from behind the DM seat and be a player!

Ben is secretly the game designer. He is the God of gods in the NPC man world and he has chosen to take on life as a character to take upon to himself the evil of the world/Kalathac to save all of NPC-kind.

Awww. Adam playing with his new wedding ring is so sweet. It will be 36 years for us in June but I still remember that experience of fiddling with my wedding band and how surreal it was to be married. We were much younger 20 and 23 but I'm sure it's no less of an experience when you've been living together for years.

I just commented on subtitles being my favorite part through it all in it's entirety! It's awesome to have those subtleties just bringing an extra layer of comedy to D&D VLDL.

Skabatha Nightshade was the BBEG for my just-finished 3-yr two-party Saltmarsh campaign. She's the reason I started really watching NPC D&D, and I was not disappointed in her portrayal or the campaign as a whole. It can be a little frustrating when players don't know their characters after months of play but we all know that 1) these sessions have months between them, and 2) all of these players are extremely busy with their skit recording schedules and all of the big recent changes on their road to success.
I need an Epic NPC Man skit with Bob in it and the PC are trying to figure out if he's just a really advanced NPC or actually a PC.
Wasn't there a skit with Rob playing a PC that had master crafting and transformed into an NPC? Wasn't that character Bob?
@@patrickrannou1278 Ben played a human player with the name Yakarin for that one. The armor looks a lot like what Bob is wearing though.

Random idea:
If you’re running multiple campaigns at the same timeline maybe having a big map with magnets showing position of all parties might be an interesting thing to have in the background.
And if you do the “up next” segment in front of it, it might have some teasers cross parties.
And for the cross-over episodes you could use it as a quick way of catching up on the events of the “guest party” for the viewers that don’t follow both/all the campaigns.
This is the first video on this channel I had to wait for after binge-watching the whole campaign. I have never played D&D, but I really enjoyed watching this campaign. I'm looking forward to the new NPC DND episodes as well as more Q&A, Behind the Screen, and Behind the Dice videos

I do enjoy these behind the scenes things. It'll be great to see you all get centralized really being able to deliver and immerse yourselves in the world. You guys have been champs, especially Rob, with only being able to play every 2 or 3 months. I'll be happy to see them really be able to get into it and also hopefully enjoy it more with not having to do an 8 hour session lol.

But he can't be unless this game is run entirely by AI. He has a pre-existing family that has major political power and their own family traditions.
Greg told the frogs that he owned a skull of Rahul when they asked what had been stolen. Which cracked me up. Rob asked if it was shiny. Greg said it wasn't (which was weird, I thought it was), so the frogs said no, they didn't have it.
