I think you forgot number 16 Bib Gourmand Michelin streetfood stall, which is 'My Own Cafe' on Lebuh Cannon? ;-)

Thanks for the heads-up! 😊 I appreciate your suggestion about 'My Own Cafe' on Lebuh Cannon. Seems like I have to do a part two now! 😉
Due to not having enough time, traveling overseas, and with 2024 about to end soon, I had to short cut the full list. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

Unfortunately most char kuey teow stalls pre cooked to 50% in large quantity, to reduce cooking time. When fry to serve to customers, eggs and ingredients are added. No wok hei.

Thanks for your comment! It's true that some stalls may pre-cook to save time, and that can affect the traditional "wok hei" flavor. However, as far as I know, the Bib Gourmand-recommended char koay teow stalls don't pre-cook. Each serving is cooked individually to maintain the taste and "wok hei."

the state government should help some of these street vendor to improve the eating aesthetic and the immediate environment of most of these hawkers places.. more up to date hawkers centres should be build.. with improved hygiene rules and regulation.. currently the high cooking standard seems to be at odd with the thirdworld un-hygienic environment both visually and physically..

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your concern for the improvement of street vendor conditions and the overall dining experience. Enhancing the environment and hygiene standards would certainly elevate these beloved hawker places and benefit everyone!
It's always inspiring to see how the fusion of tradition and modernity can create a vibrant culinary scene. Let's hope for continued support and development from the state government to make these changes happen!

Most stalls featured here are tourists trap and overrated. The locals seldom patronised. Go to small towns and you will find better foods at way cheaper prices. Penangite here.

I appreciate your perspective! It's true that some popular spots can feel like tourist traps. However, the stalls featured in this video were selected for their recognition by Michelin and offer a unique experience for visitors. Exploring small towns for local hidden gems is definitely a great suggestion too. Penang has a rich culinary scene with something for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your insights, fellow Penangite! 🌟🍜
