I’m over 40 now and have worn the same necklace and charm every single day since I was in high school. The only time I’ve ever taken it off is when it’s required for medical procedures. I sleep with it on, shower, swim… There is nothing better and it has only increased in value. They store many pieces in a safe deposit box, but each family member keeps one favorite piece out and wears it like I do.

I rather go to a regular jeweller to buy my pieces as and when I can afford them. I've always wished to own the luggage pieces but never will as they would be totally scratched and damaged on regular commercial flights which would be heart wrenching. But they are so beautiful to look at ❤. I don't own an iPhone so phone cases are off my radar!! I have been toying with a bag charm for awhile now to give a pop of colour to some of the bags, especially my older epi bags in noir and my recent purchase of the Neverful empreinte in noir. But now I'm going to have to rethink this 🤔. I own 3 metallic shawls and touch wood, so far, have not faced an issue but I do baby them a bit. Hey! I must admit that I agree with you on all of your points. LV luggage gets damaged on air travel quite easily. Especially if one travels in colder countries in Europe. They also scream money, which can be dangerous in lots of places. Though the Keepall 45 Bandouliere is in my opinion an exception, because it can also be used as an everyday bag. Overall the LV jewelry is pricey and not necessarily that stylish. Except for the Unicef items. Regarding shawls I must say that I was a bit disappointed with the quality and would not necessarily pick one up nowadays with the current prices. Lastly regarding the technology I must agree phone cases that protect the phone are nicer in the long run the lux cases. If I am not mistaken the LV trunk phone case retailed for almost over 1000 $? Or do I remember wrong? Anyways I hope that you'll have nice weekend!

I purposely chose conservative item styles (EG: Black Taiga leather and avoided Logos) which stood up to changing times. Love all of your common sense. These are the things I've taught my daughter to pay attention to in every brand. I've told them to go for substance and not always the logo. My favorite Louis bags are the ones that do not have the blaring logo everywhere. I find them more classic and elegant and you can buy them resale for hundred to a thousand dollars or more less. Some of the best Louis pieces are the vintage trunks, they were made to take a beating. I keep looking for the perfect one. I want one insanely beat up and looks like it's been around the world and has the best story to tell.

Just realized he wears a lot of shearling jackets with buttons, and not zippers, so probably this is why the schal is still like new
Mine likely snags on my zippers! One time I wore a dress with zipper in the back, and it caught there 😣

What do you think about the Mediterranean flat Ranger boots I bought those for $1,300 a few years ago and I do wear them but I could have gotten the Doc Marten to do the same thing but I love those boots.

I agree with you 100%, that buying a bag is a better investment and will last a very long time. AirPods, heck no haha! I actually own 2 of the apple AirPods pro. I lost the first one and only got the case/charger left. Then I bought another one. I lost the right one and now I’m stuck the one on left side. I felt bad, but I’d feel worse if it was an LV. I don’t think they are worth it. IMO, waste of money. Probably I will never go buy wireless AirPods again lol.

I’ve always wanted LV luggage but the price is way too ridiculous for a person of my financial status. they cost more than an overseas vacation! :( it’s such a flex to see them in the first class luggage bin because the person could afford the bags, the tickets, the accommodations. and hopefully the body guards? lol what are these people even doing on the same plane as me? I thought their pink puff bag charm was so cute, but way too pricy for what it is. but I got one in the image of a hedge hog from bath and body works and it actually holds a sanitizer. useful not just for frou-frou looks! matches the rosy ballerine interior of the bag perfectly lol good to know it’s a wise choice not to invest in the bag charms.

Love all of your common sense. These are the things I've taught my daughter to pay attention to in every brand. I've told them to go for substance and not always the logo. My favorite Louis bags are the ones that do not have the blaring logo everywhere. I find them more classic and elegant and you can buy them resale for hundred to a thousand dollars or more less. Some of the best Louis pieces are the vintage trunks, they were made to take a beating. I keep looking for the perfect one. I want one insanely beat up and looks like it's been around the world and has the best story to tell.
