I grew up around here, the 50's Grill was a huge part of my childhood. That Jukebox has some amazing selections.
My mom loved bringing us here growing up. I’m 25 and we used to love playing with the record machine and dancing. That old gun game next to the tv my dad brings my son to his “special shake place” and he plays that game when it works and they share malts! Bring Wally when he is older!

I've been going there since I was a teen in the late 80's when it opened, I think it used to be a Green Mill before that. My mom used to work not far from there. I love it!
I liked the exterior paint job which was green and purple.
Would love if you did more of these 50s diner videos. I'm from Ireland but I lived in Pennsylvania for 6 months in 2018 and I used to frequent the same 50s diner every Friday. Love everything about the era. The music, the fashion ,the movies, The Twilight Zone and of course the diners. This place looks amazing.
The 50s grill is one of my favorite spots for family get togethers. The chicken wild rice soup is amazing. And as a baker I can say their hamburger buns are on point

I moved to the Denver area in late 1990 from Michigan. I moved back in '92. A coworker told me about that classic diner. I thought it was so cool. Give me a malt anyday over a shake. There's no comparison. Hands down a malt is superior if it's made properly.
I myself am from the Twin Cities and I'm a huge diner fan. If you haven't already, you should check out The Kettle in Clearwater, it's near Saint Cloud. It's not a retro diner car but it gives you diner vibes with homemade delicious food. You can definitely tell they get regulars and it's family owned. I personally like their chicken sandwich but all their menu items are delicious and you must try their pies.

Absolutely love old time Diners! And that shooting game, if it is the one I am thinking of, had a shooting mechanism inside on the bottom near the base (closest to you) that you controlled with the gun and it would shoot small pellets at the targets when you pulled the trigger.

My father in law has a vintage game like that shooter game. When it’s in play mode, Metal targets will scroll left to right, and when you pull the trigger and hit, they fall back, with s loud “ding”. Not sure how it works through the glass? Magnets? Just a guess?. My in laws game is pretty fun (it’s a rifle), I bet that one is the same premise. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Such a cool diner, I'd love to visit there some day. I especially loved the jukebox with the 45s inside, awesome that it still works! Did you know that American Graffiti was on TV late last night? I was watching it, I haven't seen it in a long time. Harrison Ford and Richard Dreyfuss looked so young in that movie. Too bad Harrison Ford played such a jerk lol Oh...That picture of the lifeguard was Ronald Reagan.

I just went! Loved it! Going back for old car night sometime this summer.
They also once used to only wear skates. Most of my friends worked there in high school! Full on dog sweater and skirts but it’s changed
