Thank you for doing this video! The last 20 plus years I’ve focused on taking care of other people, my family, my patients, and not my own health. It’s definitely caught up to me and I’m kind of a hot mess! While I consider myself healthy-ish 😂 I do have some issue that I need to address to feel so much better! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you mentioned you need both weights and cardio, sleep and what you put into your body matters so so much! I have made a goal for myself to focus on getting in better shape and feeling better. It’s not about the number on the scale for me, it’s about feeling better! Love you and your videos, your laughter and light you bring to this community! Best of luck on your bike race this weekend!
Respect! I can barely get my yard work done 🤷♀️ I would love to be as fit as you, but my body has been very clear about such things. It won’t even let me loose weight anymore. It’s SO annoying
watching the replay since I caught the very end when picking up daughter from her work. Great advice for getting your body healthy and in shape - diet and physical activity are key and I'm in my 50's - all about priorities and dedication.
I fell at work 4 years ago right on the ball of my hip and it snapped off😢. In these last couple years both of my bad knees were replaced also. I am very blessed to be able to walk like crazy now. I went from 236 to 176 in 11 months with the Noom app. Learning to eat right and just walking is a game changer. I refuse to be one of the bad statistics 😊.
Thank you for motivating me to exercise & get more sleep!!! You’re way ahead of me when it comes to fitness, so please keep pushing me & encouraging me! I love all your frugal tips to stay fit & healthy!
That study of the boys/sleep deprivation is so, so interesting! After three years of back to back newborn babies and the crappy sleep that comes with this, I was showing pre diabetic and unable to shed the pounds. After sleeping solid for 8 hours each night over the last few months; the pounds are flying off. Sleep is everything. Women need more sleep, yet we all know mamas get a lot less. It was a season! Thanks for sharing soo much valuable advice in this podcast. ❤love your heart on it.
Thanks for this Christine. I've been struggling with a few of these topics and they were all very helpful. Thanks, as always, for the info, encouragement, and motivation!
I had Planter Fasciitis last year. I took 2 months off from running. I took a collagen supplement, rolled my foot over a tennis ball while at the table eating my meals, and also got a grounding mat towards the end of it getting better. Not sure what actually helped, but 1 year later, and it has not come back. (I run 2 to 3 miles, 3 times a week).
Yes! Sleep is so essential! I've been working hard on prioritizing sleep this summer and that alone has made me feel so much better. It's not always easy, but it's 100% worth it.
Thankfully there’s evidence that high impact (jumping, for example) also stimulates bone growth. It’s so frustrating as a woman when estrogen drops with regard to bone density. I was 48 at menopause and already have osteopenia. No hormone therapy allowed because of breast cancer diagnosis at 50.
Two thoughts - Calories really are the main factor in weight loss, hormones can mess with your hunger levels and cause you to retain water but wouldn't save you from starving to death. So I agree with you. Also graphic novels may have fewer words but can be incredibly complex, they can be an amazing art form.
My tracker also reveals that alcohol and sugar totally mess up my sleeping heart rate. Alcohol affects even days after drinking; sugar just that sleep cycle.
The weight lifting. Only if you do it slow will it build density. Think of it like a balloon. If you're just pumping fast you're just blowing the balloon up and it will deflate. If you lift slow it will fill the Ballon up and keep it solid longer.
Kids transition from graphic novels - you may want to consider illustrated copies of books. The illustrated harry Potter were expensive, but my kid read the first three and then was unwilling to wait for the fourth one so id now reading the regular book.
Dr. Tara Swart a nueroscientist does alot of talks about sleep the book "The Source" is highly recommended. She says it takes certain amount hours to sleep to trigger your cells to clean out bad things in your body!
I also deal with planter fasciitis so what kind of shoes do you get? I had been walking almost a mile or more every day . Until this happened and now trying to get back into getting my mile in every day but been rough. Need to also buy need shoes what would you suggest
I used to like u and jammerill but I'm not so sure anymore what's with all the heavy breathing I mean it's like a snorting and it seems as if it is always is to benefit you and your family 😮 and pls stop snorting
Listen, whatever is going on with you is not her fault. You came on here and you didn’t have to. You especially don’t need to be rude. Just avoid coming here and everyone will be happy including you. Go in peace.
I'm pretty sure that yes, her breathing is to her and her family's benefit. I'm sorry that you obviously had a bad day, but please don't be rude to people that have done nothing wrong.

"Leaf, like on a tree" is a good channel for that kind of frustration

Rubbing castor oil on your feet can help as well!!
Something about your vibe...I dig it. Appreciate you
I appreciate that

So true about the tracker. I’m awake from 35-60 minutes a night but I am only aware of it when I go to the bathroom or drink water.

I just saw a video by a lady who used a weighted vest to combat that (ostopenia)
FYI urology is for urine, bladder, prostate, etc. nephrology is for kidney
My urologist looks at both.
Its great that you've are in a relay race. You can do it!

Would love some videos about health and cost saving tips for those of us who travel for work, both driving and flying.
Your eye makeup is always so pretty ❤❤❤❤
I literally kept falling asleep during a CT scan....I guess that says a lot about how well I sleep. Every noise wakes me up!
I go to bed at the same time and set an alarm to wake up at the same time I have been doing this for over 20 years
Hi from sweet home Oregon love your show and your family have a great day
Would love to see more videos like this.

Speaking of phone services can we talk about how horrible Verizon has become.
Hats off to you xxx
One of my friends rolls a frozen (or cold) water bottle under foot for plantar fasciitis. If anyone is in a pinch without a tiger tail.
Agree 1 million percent about Colleen Hoover. Couldn’t even finish the chapter
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!! 😂
I'm a "No caffeine after 1600" gal.
Don't know if you do these exercises but I am using a leg press to work on my legs. The slower you go the better it works.
Kids transition from graphic novels - you may want to consider illustrated copies of books. The illustrated harry Potter were expensive, but my kid read the first three and then was unwilling to wait for the fourth one so id now reading the regular book.
Hair looks lovely ❤
Also i am with you with days and dates lol
Can ballet barre workouts qualify as "lifting weights", to build bone density?

Yessss girl!!! 🎉
Thank you going to bed early tonight

My husband is a picky eater. Hard to do a grocery budget
Are the fitness stats /minimum functional movements from Built to Move? I just started that book!
I need to stop drinking coffee at 11am, otherwise I either can’t get to sleep or wake up at 3 am and can’t sleep for an hour.
I also deal with planter fasciitis so what kind of shoes do you get? I had been walking almost a mile or more every day . Until this happened and now trying to get back into getting my mile in every day but been rough. Need to also buy need shoes what would you suggest
Is your hip all better now?
Do you have a mileage goal for all of 2024?
Does drinking herbal tea, count toward the amount of water that we need in day?
It absolutely does. Even coffee counts (although caffeine, as Christine mentioned, should be handled responsibly)
HI From IOWA
Isn’t flour considered processed though?
Nooooooo I'm not ready for July

I used to like u and jammerill but I'm not so sure anymore what's with all the heavy breathing I mean it's like a snorting and it seems as if it is always is to benefit you and your family 😮 and pls stop snorting
I'm sorry that my breathing is irritating you. Should I stop breathing for your convenience?
Listen, whatever is going on with you is not her fault. You came on here and you didn’t have to. You especially don’t need to be rude. Just avoid coming here and everyone will be happy including you. Go in peace.
