Yes! There are already several such things, but all the ones I have sit on top of the can, so it's very tall and tippy! Not at all what you want in an outdoor situation. There are a number of stoves that let the tank sit sideways like this, but they are big puzzles, or unreliable, or use that tiny hose and the tank is sitting separately. I don't know if I trust that little hose! The pressure and flow of Butane here is very low, but it seems like a pyro accident waiting to happen. I think they got it this time! I swear, some of these stoves look like some kind of Lunar Module, you're really DEPLOYING it! Legs unwind and then unfold, you have to ease the hose out of the thing... all very clever but also fumbly and breakable. My first portable stove was a Kangaroo Kitchen actually. It was like a little suitcase! But it was simple and rugged, I don't know it you could break it if you wanted to. It used the big steel bottle of PROPANE, it wasn't like a toy. Anyway, this is fun, and often I just need one or two cups of boiling water.
Well done! I've been interested in this stove for a long time, but never quite saw how it worked, and it was expensive and obscure enough when it came out. Was it Iwatani brand originally? They're the best. Anyway I already have a dozen or two portable stoves and just never got around to it. It's just now that I can finally see the whole picture. It IS a little busy but very clever, just the thing for a gadget-oriented person who... went camping once. I do love having something like this in the car! There have been a few times in life when a long drive becomes tiring and miserable and cold, and it's really a treat to be able to pull out a little stove and make some coffee, have a snack, enjoy the roadside rest area for awhile. I didn't know there was a knock-off version of this until just now. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this, very clear close-up images and a clear explanation. Ah, the writing on the manual is Chinese. I buy stuff like this that's Japanese, it might have ten pages of complex instructions and warnings, that you think you really SHOULD read but you can't!
Damned good review. I'm in New Zealand. Not the best for alpine use but fine for coastal excursions. I have been looking at the soto original. May get this. My only concern being with the integrity of the seals and the life of the perforated burner head. But at this price, approx 1 fifth of the soto, I guess buying a back up makes sense. Adapting something to replace that steel frame that sits on top won't be difficult. Subscribed.
Thanks Perry.... I've used this little stove heaps now and can vouch that it is a good little portable cooker that works really, really well. Bang for buck, I can't fault it👍👍 I've got loads of hiking stoves, and personally I've have never had to change seals on any of them. The burner head on this... Sure, maybe in a number of years it might deteriorate enough... cross that bridge when I get to it😊
Update : Just got mine today. I found that the wire pot stand is stable if you place it "on" the four "teeth" which have a little cut away section facing out to the ends of the stove. There are two on each side, either side of the centrally located holding screws. The wire frame, pot holder sits there. No movement and centred above the burner. Haven't fired it up yet.Off to Bunnings for some gas tomorrow.
@@PerryMarshallScott Thanks very much for pointing that out. I just went and checked mine and spot on, that's where the wire frame is meant to sit. Can't believe I didn't work that out earlier, lol. 🙌
Nice vid, I've had one of those for 3 or 4 months and I Love it. thanx, Sam

Great video, lots of info. Thank you!
No probs... My pleasure👍👍
It's cool to see a lightweight stove that uses the much cheaper and easier to get butane cans

Definitely like the fact it's low and stable, which is something I hate about others' systems due to the height of them.
Keep them reviews coming Mr Jel!! I'd say you're on a first name basis with the aliexpress folks by now haha
Ali looks after me always with products that are expressly satisfying 🙌

Cool Little Stove. To Bad The Fuel Did Not Come In A Square Container Also.
Yeah, it's actually a really great little cooker... Maybe butane will come in a square canister one day 🤔

It's much fatter, but I just bought a standard burner for this canister for US$10
the pot stand should sit in the teeth with the cutouts.
subded
Cheers, really appreciate it🙌
