I used to love making falconry equipment, I'd hook-up equipment for most of local falconers. There was a huge leather warehouse in Petaluma, Ca. I'd buy 5 or 6 hides at a time. Great memories.
Thanks Mike, I get great satisfaction making things, I have bought bits from online but making your own has its rewards, I can’t find kangaroo hide at the moment, without large shipping cost.
@@freebirdofreason1994 I'm heading up Anthony's way to do some striper fishing today, he buys kangaroo leather. Let me see if I could get some prices for you.
Il be honest I just buy them but with an imprint of my phone number I get mylo on monday Cant wait But I have been warned he is a little aggressive 🙄 but I'm confident we will be good look out for the up coming vids Happy hawking
Thanks, I enjoy making my own, although there is some great stuff out there. I’m sure your hawk will settle well, you have the experience to make a great hunter. Good luck .
The only leather I use is for the anklets I use braided jesse's, extender and leash made or polypropylene it's got a nice bit of stretch to it my friend makes mine you can apply wax to it and when it's filthy stick it in the washing machine.
I have got some braided gear, I think your system is a good idea, I'm just comfortable using leather Jesse's plus I like making it this way, I hope all is going well for you.
@@freebirdofreason1994 It's the way forward I don't think I know anyone still using leather the leash extender is excellent for keeping the swivel out of the tail and smashing it up. I have a leash with a loop one end a extended with a loop both ends and mews braided Jesse's with a knot and loop the other end. It's expensive but well worth the investment its pretty indestructible and if you're handy some people braid their own equipment. All is good flying my tiercel to my new drone.
Good video, many thanks
Thank you 👍
Proper job
Cheers👍
All good stuff except watch out for that swivel they have a high rate of dysfunction thanks for the video
Thank you for watching always good to read comments and appreciate the warning on the swivel, good luck with your season.
