Hi! My name is Heline and I am a Finnish flute player. I make flute covers, improvise and play classical music. I also create informational videos about flute playing and some other instruments I play (Akai Pro EWI5000, ocarina, dizi).
Nightwish is the Edema Ruh in real Life. 🤘🤗
Kai is there also, just cant see him.
I just read the books that Edema Ruh is from, Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the wind and Wise man's fear. Finally I understand what this song is about. Well, it does actually tell who Edema Ruh are, but got the context.
Having problems with YT so I hope this doesn't post multiple times...
There is an official video on the Vehicle of Spirit double BluRay and is available on Nightwish Arena's channel.
In this one the folliw-on is Mug of Brown Ale, a song Troy brought from folk music.
It's remind me a song called 'Irish washer woman' aprox. 40 years ago.
Interesting thought 🤔. In my mind this has a way faster pace but that could be because my favorite version is from André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra live in Dublin with John Sheahan from The Dubliners on violin.
Hi Heline!🦄 That is a cruise I would love to take!🌿💗
Your Nightwish reaction is always fun and interesting 🤘🤘🎼🎼💙💙🤍🤍
I want to recommend Valley of the queens from Ayreon. I'm sure you gonna like it
I have this on my retired channel @helinereacts
NW has music for everyone and all instrumentalists. They can perform in any setting too. I love them.
Yes, cruise performance it is. "Edema Ruh" means a some kind of a Celtic traveling bunch of entertainers. I like the song itself (from the album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful, 2015), but it's rarely played live. I've seen this "fancam" before. 😅 👍
Great song and fun reaction as always
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
I wish there was a proper pro-shot recording of this, because it's so cool seeing them in this kind of setting, as you said. You can really tell they were having fun too, which is even more evident when they cover Heart's "Alone" in the same set. That's a must-watch, even if you don't react to it.
It is so beautiful to see You..:)..not Yours reactions give me chills..but You..such a beautiful person..it gives me smile all the time..THANK YOU ;)
This is from a book series by Patrick Rothfuss called The Kingkiller Chronicle, the Edema Ruh is a nomadic people in the books.
I had the pleasure reading the Name of the Wind but I haven't got to the kingkiller chronicle👍
@@cosmicdebris5260 Name of the wind is the first book of the series. Unfortunately there are only two books so far, third book is hopefully coming but the author hasn't been doing too well lately.
@@Qwarzz I had read in 2018 they planned a tv series but by 2020 covid caused them to cancel. I think that could have been a great series!🌿
Loving your journey! Songs that Troy plays on are some of my favorites also!
Not sure if you are familiar with Tim Weisberg? But you should definitely do a reaction to Listen to the City.
Heline gets to see Troy with the low whistle, high whistle, and the uilleann pipes - check, check, and check
Fantastic, something new for me! Thanks a lot!😊
Felt like I was in the forest hanging with fairies troy was a guest but he was so good they had him joining the band how cool love it
Thanks! Excellent commentary!
Thank you!
Kai was using a tambourine - he stands up near the end and you can see his face.
And a shaker.
Hey hey Heline. I gotta say thank you for introducing me to Nightwish!!! I wouldn't have known of them if it wasn't for your channel… I'm rocking out to them now!!!
Hello again, Heline. I love your reactions to these Nightwish live performances. This little acoustic session was concocted by Troy and Marko as a set they did on the Baltic Princess separate from the official Nightwish performance. The whole thing is wonderful and starts out with just Marko and Troy covering a lot of other songs. Then Kai Hahto comes on to provide some bongo and light percussion. Then, when Troy starts playing the theme song from the Titanic movie, Floor rushes onto stage to put a stop to this dangerous nonsense that could be bad luck for a ship. She then sings her cover of Ann Wilson's Alone, before they move on to this performance. The whole thing is very fun and lighthearted. Thank you for reacting to this, one of my favorite Nightwish acoustic performances.

Watch the official music video. In my opinion you might hear the flute better here but they ruin the song here.
Kay is on percussion in the background in this intimate setting.
Try epica sorens of blood and water
Love the reaction. Love från Sweden.
I really enjoy your videos! ❤
Hi Heline, you should also check out the studio version on the album Endless forms most beautiful. It really brings out the best of the song.
I love how Floor had to enter the stage to stop her brothers from playing the Titanic song. Of course neither the guys nor the audience let her leave without singing with them for a while.
Flutist?
Don't know if you did it already, but otherwise you should do 'Focus - Hocus pocus'....live '73.
I just think it's great that you're looking for your own style and don't want to commit yourself. With your classical training, you are able to penetrate pretty much any genre. Personally, I love crossover mixed with classical. An exciting search enriched with valuable experience. 👏👍👍
