- Breath of the Wild without jumping was one of the hardest challenges I've ever tried. Today we'll be seeing if you can beat The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom without jumping or gliding. That's right we'll be conquering every temple and Ganondorf with NO Jumps and NO Paraglider.

I was so sure you were gonna make a beeline for the glide armor so you could survive falls. I'm impressed.
Or use fairies (admittedly cheap). Or hop on a steering stick...
That was my approach on my “Mess with the NPCs” run - I'm messing with Purah by getting all the sages (except Mineru - you can't activate her quest without the paraglider, even if you get all the way to her head, it just refuses to let you do anything) and as many shrines as I can before I ever see her.
I'm about halfway there.
Getting that requires jumping in order to initiate the challenges
@@Bentijon I'm pretty sure you can just walk off the edge, but it's possible that the first time is different - I've never had a reason to check.
@@Autoskiphow are you getting it without being able to glide? My memory of the puzzle is a bit fuzzy, but dont you need the paraglider?
Sidon's ability isn't useless, it doubles the attack power of Zora weapons. I attached a Colgera Jaw to a Zora Sword and got a weapon with 105 attack power.
I managed to do the same thing with a pristine zora longsword to a silver lynel saber horn, and it did 162 dmg when its wet
it can also function kind of like daruk's protection, just without the parry.
I did the same with a lightscale trident + silver lynel saber horn and didnt even need the master sword for the ganon fight(154 dmg)
He also keeps you cool in the desert
It also allows you to survive gerudo desert without heat resist armor
hey i haven’t watched the video yet but i just want to say that i love your videos so much and i love the way you speak and explain things and your editing and your videos are such a comfort to me and thank you so much for being a creator
edit: one of the first things i thought of when i played the wind temple was “how the hell is cmeecraft going to get around this?” and god damn that was impressive
If you attached a steering wheel to a rock, and just dropped it in the depths, you could hitch a ride on it without fall damage hahaha
I know its off topic here but i watched your kirby no jump videos and thought maybe you could do one for kirby mouse attack since it is one of my oldest childhood game and id love to see you try it
Rito
11:30 I’m gonna be disappointed if they never figure out you can fuse a shield to a weapon and block with it.
That along with the fact if you swing the master sword at Ganons gloom projectiles, they get sent back at him for damage
@@shadekage3432 W h a t .
@@aversion356 Yep, thats actually a feature, not kidding XD
@@shadekage3432 can you fuse a bottle to a sword to do the same?
For the whole journey to get to the central mine, were there any depth-wells that were closer you could've dropped down instead? I know some of the wells that lead to the depths have pools of water at the bottom.
The Mount Daphness well in the central area
I believe another way to avoid fall damage is to land on a horse. It doesn't matter if it is a wild horse or one of your registered horses, landing on their backs will negate all fall damage.
Now why does landing on horses sound so familiar? Hmmmmmm.....
Really breaking your fall. (Mayala will not be happy.)
You can also warp to anywhere
i am surprised you didn't go for the glide set (and upgrade it) but I think doing the challenge like this is more interesting anyways
Keep up the good work! love your vids!
When I first played this game I thought, “CMeeCraft is never going to be able to do this jump/glideless, it has to be impossible” then as I continued I realized it would not only be easier, but probably much less sanity-draining than the original BotW challenge, and while it does seem to have been that way (thankfully for CMee’s sanity) and even if there wasn’t anything nearly as monumental as the entire Vah Medoh quest jump/glideless, the ingenuity on display for this challenge was as fun to watch as ever (I did NOT know about the humorously invaluable tool that is Link’s absurd grip strength)
Also we finally found a world in which Colgera is difficult 10/10 video
Regarding combat in ToTK, you can reap the benefits of a one-handed weapon (that being wielding a shield and weapon at the same time) with the other weapon types as well. By fusing a shield to any weapon, you can block and parry attacks with your weapon of choice. While this is basically useless on a one handed weapon for obvious reasons, this is incredibly useful for the other weapon types. The downside to this though is that you can’t attach anything else to the weapon without getting rid of the shield, meaning those weapons are severely lacking in terms of damage output, as you are forced to pick between offense or defense. You could try to offset this by using pristine weapons, but this gives one-handed weapons a new benefit over other weapons; getting to have good defense and still be able to fuse whatever else you want to your weapon.
Yeah, I was aware of that, but I didn't do it much because like you said, the opportunity cost in terms of damage output made it seem not all that worthwhile.
25:00 i know it's too late to say this now, but finding farosh and riding her for a good distance was also an option - she heads down pretty close to central hyrule, and you can take her all the way to near colgera's arena, then hop off and the great central mine is directly north with minimal fuss
Alternate title: CMeeCraft has Revali PTSD for 51 minutes straight
You’ll never make it up to that Divine Beast on your own.
Oh boy we’re strapping in y’all
The sequel of a lifetime. Awesome video dude
I'm so glad we got this. BOTW Jumpless is my favorite Video on the platform, and this video absolutely lived up to the hype. Please keep doing stuff like this.
Glad you enjoyed!
The BOTW one is so good that shit made me cry when I first watched it 🤣
@@chargegarg8234 Agree
You can dispel the storm??? I literally just flew in blindly so my mind is blown
Lmao me too! 😂
I flew in blindly too, but I couldn't actually find the sage since it was too hazy
When going to the depths, you should’ve just fallen down a shaft with water at the bottom. There’s one not too far from Autobuild called the “Mount Dapths well chasm”
Why didn’t you try to get the glide set? It negates all fall damage at level 2
Part 2 to one of my favorite videos of all time, can’t wait to buckle in and watch this!
There were several moments you could've cheated fall damage deaths by pocketing a few Faries. Namely, jumping into Hyrule Chasm to do Autobuild.
Regardless, your Dragon entry method was AMAZING. I'm at 25:19 and loving your story, man. I have to see what happened with Teba in BotW, now! xD
You can actually use rocket shields if the shield is on it's last hit. Because the shield breaking animation overrides the paraglider, you can get some decent height!
Ohh I've seen people trying it before but not with all the temples! Here comes the real pro!
Let's see if you can translate your success in this challenge from BotW to here
You didn't have to take the Naydra approach to entering the depths. There are actually three wells transformed into chasms that have water to land in at the bottom.
15:09 "The fire wall can be solved like most problems in life; by using a plane"
*George Bush aggressively taking notes in the corner*
But why would you do this to yourself. What is the purpose. Why must you torture yourself with these tasks.
I'm still watching the whole thing, though.
ngl now thinking about it, the glide set at level 2 would have changed this run a lot if you're able to get your hands on it without much issue.
I think it's funny you wanted to find water around the towers when you can circumvent the whole thing by just warping somewhere else. Or even to the same tower lol
He figured that out later.
There is an easier way to get into the depths, there is a gloom covered well on a shore by the colloseum, wich leads to a watterpool in the depths. Thats how i got in before even getting the paraglider.
On a diffrent note , if you have the master sword you can reflect ganons magic back at him like in oot.
Zelda would have fallen in the water anyway so your struggle was meaningless.
This game man...
Just so you know, if you ride a steering stick you take no fall damage, but make sure to attached to something or you will fall off.
You don’t take damage when on a control stick so put it over a chasm recall it when on it then cancel the recall and you don’t take fall damge
You can cancel fall damage by just connecting anything to a steering stick and getting on it, its really easy to pull off
no!!!!!!!!!
I went for probably a solid 50 hours on my first playthrough without even realising the paraglider was available in this game. 😅 Jumping down Death Mountain Chasm was the final straw that made me realise there had to be a better way to fall.
I'm glad someone completed the challenge I was so curious about (and almost did accidentally) myself! Great video! 💕
'I guess this water didn't get the memo' made me cackle
The transition from outside to inside the castle at 39:24 was gorgeously done!
Bro the editing, the storytelling, the strategies, all of this made this video awesome! Earned a sub from me👍
The mount daphnes well chasm had water at the bottom…
I think getting either the glide set or fairies from the great sky Islands would have been worth it in the end not only because of the fall damage resistant property of the glide suit but also the distance you can move with it
17:16 Link has to be able to swim
Took, but link is disabled
31:41 Hand to HAND combat
Some wells have chasms that lead to water beneath.
Huh... Guess I've never run into one of those wells. There's so much in this game to discover.
@@CMeeCraftGamingOne of them would have actually been useful - one of the Chasms on the southern edge of the Gerudo Highlands has a pond under it - and it is also at the eastern end of the highlands, letting you drop into the depths much closer to the central mine.
There's also a Chasm hidden in a cave that drops you directly into the Zora mine.
17:21: I assumed that it was fairly obvious that you need to land in DEEP water to avoid fall damage and that the developers assumed that they wouldn't need to spell it out to the players because it's just common sense.
Rewatched it again and I find it darkly hilarious that CmeeCraft was AT the doorstep of Rito Village but decided to turn back and let them starve much longer because Vah Medoh gave him so much trouble in the last video.
You're well-spoken and make interesting videos, found the new channel I'm eating to :)
Ganon: it would have been more satisfying to overcome a worthy foe
his inside voice: DO YOU KNOW WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH?!?!
his outside voice: naw its fine.
22:30 he is WIGGLY
awesome
seeing him go from his first few videos with little confidence to now and hearing his confidence and creativity in editing growing rapidly is really inspiring and an amazing thing and i'm glad he stuck with this
Loved the montage part. All dramatic music and you just playing. I couldn’t stop watching. Thanks
Here’s a trick that can make going into chasms possible: attach a steering stick to a rock. If your on a steering stick all fall damage is 100% negated. And the rock should let you fall straight down. Probably easier than riding a dragon lol
Technically, waterfall scaling can be done if you just never grab the Paraglider, thanks to the low gravity of the water temple (and some parts of the glide suit), you can make it up the waterfalls perfectly fine.
You'd still need to grab the paraglider so Mineru lets you carry her to the Spirit Temple, but why would we need to do that first?
Edit: Should've waited a bit before commenting...
An alternative to getting into the depths: Elma Knolls Chasm. It drops you right into a lake with a Yiga hideout.
the gurado chasm close to the yiga hideout has water
also great sky island was kinda fun trying to get ascend before ultrahand an fuse
pushing logs an using mushrooms to rotate the logs,
meant i could get wings early an that made getting ascend easier forgot to meantion i was trying to see if i could go a no climbing challange
A challenge run with planning to make it not impossibly difficult?!? What is this madness? Clearly you're supposed to go through the whole run, get to that moment and throw your self at it fruitlessly until you realize it would've been possible with some planning and only *then* restart the entire run just to do that section right the second time.
How are we supposed to enjoy your suffering if you're being efficient?
Couldn’t you have just gotten fairies to survive any fall you want?
Where's the challenge in that. HA!
IT’S HERE
When i played the game for the 2nd time i was alle to Get the mastersword without the paraglider (but i did use jumping)
For getting into the depths without gliding or the dragons, wouldn't it be possible to use a hot air balloon? UH-Recall it over the chasm, light a torch, hop on, and position yourself so you can hold the torch over the edge of the balloon to descend, while holding it upright to slow the descent?
Also a funny cheese is that you take no fall damage if you're holding a Control Stick. It doesn't even really need to be attached to a device, so you could glue one onto a rock or something and ride that down. Anticlimactic though. Great vid!
Dang what a concept for a challenge. Great video. And I haven't watched it yet. I just know it's going to be good.
I'm so glad you didn't jump use a hoverbike for everything. Your creativity made this video so much better.
Fun fact, you can fuse a Shield to Lances and Great Swords to give you the blocking option with those weapons without putting them away.
Another method of getting down chasms without dying is to take out a stering stick and ultrasound I over the chasm bring it back then use recall
Because your riding the stering stick you won't take fall damadge
Best CeeMeeCraft video BY FAR next to the BOTW challenge of the same parameters. Congratulations, you've earned a lot of respect after going through all that crap.
This challenge was way harder in Botw I think becaise here it is kinda easy I mean you have autobuild, rocket shield, bomb shield you have way more to work with but for the dephs part there are some chasms that have water under them or you could've used a hoverbike or somethin
A fan suggested your channel to me. Gonna watch this and I KNOW I’ll be amazed :3
What about attaching a joystick to anything negates fall damage. Like attach to a rock, ultra hand it over a chasm, then recall and ride the rock with joystick and boom, no fall damage
11:32 you can also fuse shields to 2-handed weapons so that when you ZL lock, you take up a guard pose that uses your shields (this allows you to parry as well!!!)
I feel like you could have circumvented some of the challenge with the glide armor, since it lets you take reduced to zero damage from falls
UFZ is the best way of putting things, and I'm hereby referring to Zelda as nothing but from now on.
I got the game less than 3 weeks ago, and almost softlocked myself in the tutorial area, specifically on my way to shrine 3.
@Cdotkom would love the fact that the solution of parrying
obviously the sky bike build would negate most of the challenge. so whether or not it was intentional it is a welcome change
Beating games with a crutch is so old school I’ll start being impressed again when u can 100% the game like this
i could beat the game glideless but im waiting for nintendo to stop caring before talking about the 2 fall damage cancels i discovered
Couldn't you warp back to a tower once you've launched from it?
Bro how tf did I not know you could get rid of the storm. I went through that whole section blind af XD
It's funny how everyone has unconsciously agreed to call recall rewind
Are fairies allowed in this challenge?
Edit: nevermind, I didn't finish the video yet
Bruh ive been misreading your name this whole time i thought it was McGee craft gaming lol
There is a cave you go from the ultra hand shrine do the fuse shrine, then you go to a cave you find another cave and boom you’re at the ascend shrine
For the thing with seeing the tear drop from the hot air balloon: I didnt have the paraglider yet when i got there and was able to just teleport away.
faeries would've made falling into the depths much easier
You forgot the skydiving challenges.
fun fact if you get a fan and make it push away from a flat wall it will stay there and you can use ascend on it, but it will fall down after a second so make sure to get off of it fast
I did the rito storyline with no paraglider in my first playthrough 😊
beat the first zelda game without jumping (this is a joke)
You could have teleported to the tower in the air after you scan it to take no fall damage and be where you were
plot twist: his x button is broken
They're onto me!
As a person who's never seen any ToK gameplay before, I'm very lost, but I still enjoyed it.
You should play it.
@jacobs5546 I don't have access to the switch, and between Baldur's Gate 3 and The Witcher 3 and Ai: Somnium Files and Umineko and Steins;Gate and Satisfactory and Infinifactory and Octopath Traveler and Dark Souls and Doom and Bioshock and Hollow Knight and Outer Wilds Divinity Original Sin and Knights of the Old Republic and Mount & Blade & Warhammer: Total War and STALKER and Age of Decadence and Battletech and Dragon Age and Shadowrun Returns and so many others, I don't really have the time...
@@Zorgdub I still highly recommend it if you ever get the time and money.
I thought the Water Temple would be hard to get to but no Paraglader = good luck
You don't do challenges on R-rated games, right?
I thought a challenge of beating Bayonetta while only shooting would be cool. Basically, not causing damage with anything else than the idle shooting you can do with one of the buttons, that has Bayonetta standing shotting weak bullets. No other weapons, nor punching/kicking
I'm pretty sure he's played M-rated games on the channel before.
Just have a fairy when you jump down into the depths
Instead of jumping, roll
The water has to be deep enough to swim or it doesn't count
I'm really happy that gannon is threatening in this game
Bro there one of the chasm in hyrule field zone has water
