Have you seen her 1953 "Person To Person" with Edward R. Murrow? I saw it for the first time the other day which led me to this great post and others. I wish she had done more television, yet grateful for what she did. I still say she was cheated out of a best actress nomination for "Die Die My Darling" 😄
@@TONEBHURT I saw it a long time ago but person who uploaded it deleted it. And I agree ! Miss Bankhead deserve so much more than what she got. There’s an impersonator name Charles Pierce,(the only person that should have played tallulah)
They Don't MAKE CLASSY STARS LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!! WELL DRESSED AND ELEGANT. RAUNCHY AND SUBTLENESS!!! THE CLOTHES THAT THEY WORE ARE AGELESS AND STILL IN STYLE....TRUE REFINEMENT!!!
We don't know much about Cleopatra or Helen of Troy, but here we have Tallulah and a young Milton Berle. How extraordinary to see them brought back to life!
"Didn't I see you shave on The Cavalcade of Sports?", has got to be one of the best lines I've heard. They are loving each other. I've never seen her smile so much as in this skit.
This is a delightful piece of retro TV. She was the Carol Burnett of her time. Albeit a more villainous one. Carol couldn't help that-- she was simply too adorable.
The 28 year olds writing for today's television couldn't touch this stuff if their lives depended on it. 1:18 "Ah Tallulah, you've got a great delivery....where'd you park your truck?"
I’ve been doing research on this clip . This is the same show she did her fortune cookie comedy skit. It’s on RUclips as well

Ohhh Darling Yessssssss
I only discovered Tallulah recently. Where were they hiding her? She is a treasure.
She truly is a treasure 👏👏Tallulah Bankhead was also the inspiration foe Cruella Deville. Tallulah is my favorite broadway actress ever💝💝
She was a big deal back in the day. A very big deal.
@@kvngvuggottoa7139 ... I think this was in 1952. At least that's when the Milton Berle show was on TV.
Thank you for finding and uploading this gem! 🙂

I completely agree 👏
Louie The Lilac and The Black Widow Together!!! Dial the Batphone and call Batman!!!
Kvng, I'm impressed with your great taste.
This a gem
Jeepers, look at those huge shoulders on Talulah. Milton Berle also dressed in drag back when I was a kid.
Messed up the middle of the song, but her comedic timing was on point. Great to hear her voice.
Where did you found that clip? Thank you!
Years ago , my aunt used my computer to transfer a vhs tape to digital and I saw this on there
Tallulah’s and Hermoine Gingold’s voices sound very similar in this song.
Fabulous! Do you know what year is this is from?
I believe it’s either 1953 and 1955
@@kvngvuggottoa7139 thanks! 🖤🤍🎞
She’s 41? Lordy
No it was a joke lol. She was in her 50s. She was born in 1902. And this was filmed between 1953-1955
Right 😂, she was a chain smoker and lover her bourbon, but she was exquisite.
Meravigliosa
Thats One TOUGH BROAD
*SO* Pretty,!🎨
☺️😊😍😊☺️😊😊😊
